Answer to:
If a person is resisting arrest and in the process harms five officers, what's the legal word for this offense?
Depends. Did they get a gun and shoot 2 cops? Did they hit them with a PR-24(batton), did they use a lead pipe found in the room, did they bite, punch, strangle, ect? Lots of different charges they COULD be facing.

Is it scary that some people are more worried about the NFL lockout instead of the impending debt ceiling disaster?
The NFL lockout is a microcosm of the US's political party war. The workers demanding proportional wages, and the rich owners greed is trying to siphon an extra BILLION in profits off the top.
The debt crisis while more serious, isn't as personal.

Answer to:
Does being a racist make someone an idiot? What is your opinion on racism?
Yes being racist makes someone an idiot. Not because of the view held, but because of the thought process(or lack there of) they use to get there. We all have racist thoughts, to one degree or another, but to allow yourself to verbalize or even act on them is the issue. If you're too damned stupid to recognize your own biases then you're an idiot.

Depends. You show me a photo of your neighbor washing his car, that won't prove bigfoot exists.

Skinny women are what the majority of media define as real. When you feel like curvy, plump or even obese women have been left out of that definition you focus on adding them to it. Skinny women aren't covered because they're already in the definition.

Did John Brown start the Civil war or was it the Fort Sumpter incident?
John Brown responded to the attack on Lawrence, Kansas, with deadly force.
No matter how you slice it, the Conservatives fired first.
Answer to:
Was the civil war all about slavery? Have conservative historians tried to make it look like it wasn't?
The war was over states rights to secede. Slavery was the major issue dividing the states. So the answer is it was about BOTH, and conservatives were the slavers so of course they're going to try and make themselves look better by minimizing slavery.

True/False:Christian but different is the best way to categorize Mormons http://indianapolismormontemple.org/new-testament-christianity.html
I disagree. What books and prophets a religion adheres to is the primary method of distinction(at least in my mind). Jew have the OT and moses, christians hold to the NTand jesus, muslims to the qu'ran and mohammed, and mormons to the BoM and to smith. Since they have a new book and a new prophet, they're no longer what I consider christian.

Why do certain people say that everybody knows God exists? Everybody believes in Jesus? That people who say they don't . . .
Certain people need to be right so badly they can't tolerate other people even questioning their beliefs. So they convince themselves it's not true disbelief but anger at god, or some other form of belief in god with a refusal to accept gods word.
It's insecurity about the validity of their own beliefs.

Most people would say no, it's not an issue. However the second you teach their children to sing "I love you, Allah... deep down in my heart" they'd throw a fit. I have always been against abortion, but I've been thinking about something lately.. What do you think? See description for more details.
There are two sides to the abortion debate(on this topic).
The pro-choice side argues that quality of life is important.
The pro-life side says that any life, no matter the quality is better than death.
You'll find these exact same arguments being used in the Euthanasia and state based executions debates.
It's the fundamental difference between the two sides.

If you do, why do you shut out people who disagree with you?
It's not that they disagree with me, but WHY they disagree that's at issue. If they're uneducated, or just view a subjective field differently than I do, fine. If they flat out refuse to accept evidence contrary to their beliefs because they don't want to be wrong, then that's the type of person I have no use for, and they're shut out.

Kids looking for help from anonymous sources allow them to ask questions without risking exposing themselves to their peers(who have less reliable information). And without having the embarrassing conversation with their parents.
This allows them freedom to ask questions without retaliation, embarrassment, accusations(the pregnancy questions), and without fear. What's so wrong with that?

Can money buy love?
Sure. It boils down to how you view love, and who's love you're talking about.
A man marries a woman for her money. The chemical reaction in her brain when he tells her he loves her(even though he doesn't), is the same as if he did love her. Therefore from her perspective she's purchased love.

Is it possible to be closed-minded when you've listened to every single argument on all sides and considered them all?
No matter how long you live and how much you listen, you'll never hear the end of all the arguments for and against something.
Like no matter how long you listen to arguments about the origins of penguins, I doubt that anyone would ever claim that penguins are actually from half way across the universe and that they crash landed here when their arch nemesis, the polar bears, shot them down...

Yet they don't beat homosexuals and leave them tied to fences to die. They don't murder abortion doctors in church. Pointing the finger at muslims, is pretty assinine when Christians in India rape and murder muslims IN THE NAME OF CHRIST. They burn mosques and rebuild churches on the ruins.

In still others vampires gain traits like those of the creature drained. Werewolf blood makes them more feral, Demon blood makes them more demonic, and zombie blood(dead mans blood) can act as a paralytic or poison...

I went to my OB/Gyn the other day and had blood work done . They asked what blood type i was and answered B+ . Tests came back and Im B-.
You want a B+ rather than a B-? Study harder next time.
In all seriousness, get another test, and take your concern to your doctor, lab work can be faulty and your doctor will probably have an idea on if the shot will be harmful for a B+ blood type. No one on here is as good to get info from as your personal doctor.

There are only 1400 wolves in what 2 states? That's not many to begin with and they want to hunt them down to 300? What ass-hats. If we treated people like we treat wolves we'd be monsters who deserved the death penalty. One of the "best" ways to keep wolf populations down is to find their dens and kill entire litters of pups.
