Most of them, no. Depends mostly on parenting. My kids have all known the alphabet, their colors, their shapes, etc etc etc before they ever got to kindergarten. On the other side, some kids haven't been taught much by their parents, or read to. At the extreme end, I worked with a PE teacher who had a kindergarten kid yelling from the bathroom. She hadn't ever wiped her own butt.

I think many things can contribute. First thing off the top of my head would be that after a death, sometimes people quit eating well, or eating at all. Personally, I would do some shorter races prior to doing a marathon. Start with some 5K's, move up to 10K, then do a half marathon. You'll learn so much by doing this. There are a lot of differences in the various distances.

Yes, you can walk. In fact, there are marathon programs that depend on a run/walk cycle. And, unless you are really being competitive, you should walk at the water stations, and make sure you rehydrate and consume calories. Here's one, baste with Italian Dressing.
Another one, and this is delicious, cut the ends off of a lemon and a lime, put the lemon and lime inside the chicken. In the pan put in a glass of water, and some thick slices of onion, a little salt, a little pepper. Bake really low for a long time, like 250 for 3 hours.

If you don't say "no", you aren't being a good parent. Children need to learn boundries. The key to making sure "no" works, is that you never NEVER back out of it. If you say "no, you can't have candy", but eventually give in to a load of whining, then they'll know they can get you to give in.

Hey people. I wanna get in an MMA league (almost like UFC). In my small town the only martials arts that are taught are Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Judo and Karate. There's also a Boxing club in my town. So i hope you guys can help me pick the right martial art.
I've trained in MMA, with some fairly big names back a few years ago, coached wrestling, had a sombo club, competed in BJJ once. Anyway, I would do the boxing club for sure (for standup skills) and Judo, for throwing, avoiding takedowns, and some ground skills.

Well, depends on you.. your personality, more than your size. Whatever you choose, I would have a mix of a striking art (boxing, TKD, etc) and a grappling art (wrestling, judo, sombo, BJJ). In my opinion, a mixture of the two makes a more well-rounded fighter.

I believe they are, it really depends on what your definition of a martial art is. Mine relies heavily on the idea of self-defense. IMHO, if you teach someone to wrestle and to box, and how to use the two together, then you will have quite a dangerous individual.

I don't know about your particular state, but usually minors can't be involved where there is striking, at least in my experience, unless it is just straight boxing. Look for submission type tournaments.. like sombo, or judo, or BJJ. I was a judge once in Texas for a MMA tournament, and there was a 3 person round robin, and they couldn't strike, but could submit.

Somebody already answered well, dress in layers. The hardest to keep warm is your hands, have good gloves. I have a heavy set of under armor, and it keeps me warm down to about 30 degrees. Colder than that and have to have another layer on top of it. I have a pair of biking pants, like tights only they have wind blocking capability for the front, again, very nice. Just layer up.

I think it is fairly natural. Sometimes, when I have a sinus headache, the best thing I can do is go on a run. The first mile or so is torture, because it throbs every time my foot hits the ground. But, eventually, my sinuses open up and it feels SO good.

Well, it depends entirely on your race. Different states have different distances, and sometimes depends on if you are a boy or a girl. The 5K is very common, but some run 4K.. So, can you tell me what distance you are running? Also, do you commonly run "negative splits"?

I had leftover.. um.. well had sausage, potatoes, onion, corn, garlic all fried together.
Make a big pot of Chili, then freeze separate helpings in bags. I do this with homemade chicken noodle soup too.
I also get a cheap pork roast, and cook it in a crockpot for hours. Then, when its basically done, and so tender you can pull it apart with a fork, drain all the grease, dump in a bottle...
