How do I remove an unknown stain from a cotton shirt? Well, first of all I would spray and rub it with Shout! spray as soon as possible, to avoid letting the stain set in. Then I would let it sit overnight. The next day I would put it in the washing machine with some OxyClean and Gain and let that soak. I would then start the washing machine and let it clean it. This should remove it, if not, the next time. Hope it helps:)
