Something 'big' could have already happened and just hasn't reached fruition. The foundations for the laser were in a paper Einstein wrote. The first functional one was built in 1960. I remember reading at the time, "Hey, it works, and it's really nifty; but what's it good for?"

I don't know. My folks used to go to church on Easter. I haven't kept up that tradition. I'm not sure religion had anything to do with it. It was just something people did.

My mind was loosed (set free) when I was sent to Japan in the military. I realized that a great deal of what I'd been taught was based on simple prejudice rather than on fact.
