Do you ever wonder why Barack Obama is in such a hurry to change everything about this country?
Simple, he has a personal agenda and will do whatever it takes to meet enact and fulfill said agenda.
Unfortunately far to many in America have become used to feeding at the party trough and like being spoonfed their beliefs by the meaningless talking heads rampant throughout the infotainment sector.

What is your political association? Liberal, conservative, libertarian, etc.? I have noticed a lot of liberals seem to be bumming around on the Internet (probably because they don't have jobs) and am just wondering if posting on forums is a waste.
I adhere to no affiliation. I refuse to define myself by ideals I do not support. If more people would take the time to sit down and research the parties, they would see that there are very few true liberals, true conservatives, true moderates. We are all liberal, conservative, or moderate based solely on the issue or candidate at hand. I hold views from all over the political spectrum, no...

I've never given a neg rating since I have been here and never will. There is no point to it in my opinion. If you disagree with something, move on, if it is that bad, report it. Why spread negativity? Does it somehow make you a better person to make someone feel less of themselves? Who knows, it's just my opinion.

I heard a teacher say as of today USA is so far behind the other countries, it will take USA many years to catch up, do you believe that?
Gross generalizations are always wrong. There are a multitude of American youth who are far above the global average when it comes to educational ability and intelligence. What is wrong in parts of America is the failing public schools, combined with the apathetic attitudes of some parents who do not know the first thing about personal responsibility.

Is it good or not so good to have unquestioning belief in anyone or anything? Why shouldn't you question people and institutions? Doesn't that make for a healthier understanding of your beliefs?
Blind loyalty is not only dangerous, but the epitome of ignorance as well. When one refuses to see the faults that lie within their beliefs, all hope is lost. What makes some people afraid of change? even myself?
Fear of the unknown.
Loss of security.
Comfort with the tried and true.
There are as many reasons as there are excuses. Change can be both good and bad, it is subjective based on the issue and/or individual at hand. What change may be good for you, may be disastrous for me, and vice versa.

Answer to:
Why is Religion such an uneasy topic? && What are your views on Christianity? Is everyone going to hell that doesnt believe in it? && why do people firmly believe one of the newest religions anyways?
It's uneasy simply because so many are afraid that if they listen to another's point of view, they will either be proven wrong, or be forced to back up something they cannot. I am a Catholic, but I do not believe that non Christians are going to hell simply because they do not believe. I know some atheists and agnostics who are far more god-like than any Christian I have ever met....
Answer to:
Have you ever just taken a moment to think about things from the point of view opposite to yours? Religious / Atheist, Neo-Con / Liberal, Racist / Anti-Racist, and so on, do you ever think of the point of view of your opposites? If not, why not try now?
I try to examine issues and ideas from all sides before making a decision. I learned long ago that what is right is subjective based on the individual and the issue at hand. Politically I don't have an affiliation because I hold views representing all points on the political spectrum. Religiously, I view my beliefs as personal and view others beliefs or non belief the same. As for racism,...

Uhm....
Hate to break it to you, but I have been a Roman Catholic all my life, and have never believed that, nor have any of the priests at the parishes I have attended preached that.
Seems like a PERSONAL interpretation as to what the words "one true church" mean.
However anyone with a modicum of intelligence realizes interpretations are opinions, not facts.

Thats a toss up. I guess it would depend on if you believe that man descended from a monkey. If so, then using the same reasoning, yes, the parrot would definitely be a cannibal :)

Answer to:
When you ask a question, why can't people just answer the question directly instead of saying something that might be related to the question, but has no relevance otherwise?
Possibly because the best answer to said question is an indirect answer. Each individual views each question subjectively, so what may be a complete and accurate answer in your opinion may not be seen as the same by others.
You are always free to disagree.

Do you think it's wrong to be a pervert?
Depends on how you define "pervert"
Many perversions are subjective to the individual. While there are those that are wrong no matter how you try to rationalize them, there are others which define the gray area.
What I may believe to be perverted may be the norm for another.
So...
Being a pervert can be wrong, normal, or anywhere in between.

In all actuality America is not a democracy, it is a Democratic Republic.

It quite possibly be that we are being truly altruistic in wanting others to enjoy the same freedoms we so easily take for granted.

No, not at all. Rather they should outlaw irresponsible pit bull owners and breeders.

It is the idiots who use them for fighting and irresponsible breeders who give them a bad name.

Quite a bit. I work with a national voter education group, as well as local voter registration drives. I have also done work such as gathering signatures, organizing rallies, etc.. for issues that I support.

Teachers unions

Spoiled children
Society's apathetic attitude to what does not affect them directly
So on and so forth.

If either of the front runners make it in the chances are fairly high. However, if the electorate would get off their asses, do some independent research, and formulate their own opinions rather than letting the media and the "party" do it for them, chances are high we could actually elect someone who could bring our country back in line with the intent of the founding fathers.

I think if you are willing to make the effort to find it, the probability is high. You just need to remain open minded and be willing to accept that love can come from unexpected places and from unexpected people. That being said, I do not believe that everyone will find true love simply because some look in the wrong places, while still others do not look at all.

I think it is great that our Constitution can be amended and interpreted. However I think it is bad that so much bias is applied when interpreting.
While I understand that everyone has bias to some extent, the interpreters of the Constitution, the US Supreme Court, should at least strive to keep their personal bias' out of chambers.

He asked me how I thought I could grow within the company, and I told him he didn't have to worry about that, I was done growing, I was one of those people who hit their growth spurt...

I explained to her the first day I was having trouble and that I was technologically dyslexic, but she refused to listen and told me I looked like I was doing fine. I dropped that class the second week and found a private tutor.

Sarah Palin's church believe you can "pray away the gay". What do you think about this?
You are born gay, or you are born straight, simple as that. It is not a disease that needs to be cured or prayed for. Not to be offensive, but no one other than God ha the right to judge another persons sexuality.
People need to grow up and stop attacking those they disagree with.

I want to can my own tomato sauce. If I put the tomatoes through a juicer, will I be able to cook the juice down enough to make sauce?
When I make homemade sauce, I cut the tomatoes in chunks and slowly cook them down to the desired consistency, then put them through a Foley mill to remove the seeds and skins.
If you don't have a Foley mill you can usually find one in a thrift store for two or three bucks. They run between $20 and $50 new.

If the "surge" is going so well in Iraq, why isn't Bush-Cheney using the spare money to pay down the record $400 billion budget deficits?
Why would they do that?
They have a little over 4 months left in office, do you really expect them, or any politician in a similar situation for that matter, do do anything worthwhile and/or productive?
No offense, but American politics has degraded into a pissing contest for those in power and those looking to assume power.

As soon as you opened a bottle of tequila you would know it was not water. It has a very distinctive smell.

Is it true that McCain was a marginal student who graduated fifth from bottom of his class as a student at the Naval Academy?
It is true he did not put forth the effort to do well, and yes, he did graduate fifth from the bottom. However, class rank is not always indicative of intelligence. I can think of several individuals with genius level IQ's who either never went or never finished college. Guess it just depends on the person.

Does giving every citizen a "right to bear arms" make as much sense as giving every citizen a "license to drive a vehicle"?
At the time the United State's Constitution was written, the second amendment was valid and necessary, and covered a right which needed to be protected.
Unfortunately it would seem that through interpretation by the Supreme Court, the second amendment has been twisted to fit the whim of the courts political make up, which I am positive is not what the founding fathers had in mind.

Do you think if there were no political or religious leaders to get people and nations riled up, that there would be less unrest in the world?
In order to achieve that we would also need to have the ability to create a Utopian society. While it is a pleasant thought, I do not see it ever happening.
If all political and religious leaders were to suddenly disappear, I honestly believe that anarchy would take over shortly. For the most part, it would appear that people want to be led.
