President Obama will send an additional 17000 American troops to Afghanistan in the first major military move of his presidency. Does this disturb and disappoint those who voted for him? In the debates with McCain, Obama clearly said he'd send troops into Afghanistan and make strikes against Pakistan. It disturbed me then and it disturbs me now, but I would still rather have him as president than McCain.

It was a senseless death for a senseless reason and the people who chastised you for being offensive for asking this question really ought to consider the offensiveness of this story .. of our society's values and of our warped idea of the meaning of holiday.

We didn't buy toy guns for our boys but they made them out of sticks, or pipes, or once, even out of a headless Barbie doll. Not all boys play with guns given a choice, but apparently some will find a way if they're so inclined. They grew up and joined the military. That had never been encouraged either.
