The correlation of Vicarius Filii Dei with 666 was made long before Ellen White or the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The first person I know of to make this connection was Andreas Helwig in 1612 in his book The Roman Antichrist. Ellen White never applied 666 in this way in any of her writings.
