It was mentioned in the forum about this topic but surprise AB didn't acknowledge that a comment was even left. It is very offensive to me too. That was a category I never went in and now it's all over the front page.

How do you get yourself to stop crying? Sometimes I just have bad days and need something to distract me from crying. Crying is very therapeutic. It's when you can't cry that there is a problem. If you cry too much that it's affecting your work, social life, sleep, etc than there must be an underlying cause and you need to see a professional/therapist. Crying means you are expressing yourself and it really is a good thing.

There was a death in someone's family at my place of employment. The other workers went around asking for 10-20 dollars from each person. I am incredibly sorry about this death but i cannot afford the money right now. Howto state this politely/discretley? Just politely say I can't afford it but I would give something if I could. They might then say give whatever you can give and then you go from there. It is rude to ask for a specific amount of money. Some of these places will accept even 50 cents but some will not even put your name on the sympathy card if you don't pay the full amount. Just tell them that it's been a rough year...

I am currently on social security. Very soon I need to get a full time job and I have to get off of social security because I will be making too much money. I am 62 yrs old. If I get off can I get back on SS later in about a year? Once you get a certain age you can make as much as you want to make and not lose your Soc. security. Not sure what that amount is though. If you are on SSI it is affected by what you make. It would be better for you to conact soc. sec. and ask them because the rules change all the time and they would have your answers.

If it's not treated you are at risk for bleeding too much or you may miss several periods. Even if you can pay cash they still do a credit check and if it's low you pay a lot more in insurance. If you wanted to rent an apartment those are done on credit check. You have a real disorder and that can't be treated overnight. A great therapist would also help and there are some medications (if you wish to go that route) that help with it. GL

Two restaurant patrons were arrested on a charge of theft when they refused to pay a $16 mandatory tip that was part of their bill. They claim they had bad service. Isnt a tip supposed to be given if you think the service is good? Yes it is. Some restaurants actually add the tip in the bill and you must pay it whether the service was good or not. It costs the state roughly $160,000 per yr to keep ONE child in foster care. It costs between $50,000 to $100,000 to adopt one of them. Wouldnt it make more sense to make adoption more affordable and let these kids get real homes and families? I asked a question about that last week (I think) and yes it would make more sense to lower adoption cost but sadly it's a money making business. They don't care if the child never finds a home as long as they get that money. It actually cost 1/2 of what it cost in the US to adopt foreign which is why people adopt from another country and there isn't nearly as much red tape...

If I had some prescriptions filled at a local pharmacy and I didn't like the way I was treated there, is it okay to take my empty pill bottles (bearing the name of the original drug store) to another drug store to be filled? Of course but be aware that in some states you can only transfer it one time. This means if you take a medication with 4 refills and you transfer it you will have no refills left. So keep that in mind.

How hard am I allowed to hit my kids? I used to get hit as a kid and it worked great. I love my kids but they don't seem to respond to anything. There is NOTHING wrong with spanking yet people will tell you that any spanking is abuse. It isn't. It becomes abuse when you leave blisters or bruises and if there are marks on the back or legs. Anything on the behind short of abuse is fine but I would recommend just a few swats because after 5 or 6 it could be considered abuse if someone turned you in.

Since it cost each state from $200-300 a day for each prisoner plus health care I think it's more than fair. AB members thought they knew her and even grieved when she died and she was never real. She played the charade for almost 2 years. Someone can appear to be anything on the net. I visited an anti-virus site once called RegCure, and now I get these messages from RegCure to "fix 1,202 errors in my computer". They pop up everytime I open up my computer. Anyone else experienced this before, and how do I get rid of these messages? They want you to pay for a removal tool and chances are whenever you did that you actually downloaded the viruses/spyware on your machine. I used one of those and had hundreds of them on my system and had to have the hard drive wiped because it was actually adding to the problem.
