Answer to:
Medicare ADMIN costs are 3%. Senator Baucus wants to allow private health insurance giants to have ADMIN costs of 35%. Wouldn't you like to SAVE $300 billion a year and allow a public option OR a non-profit option, by folks like ACLU, AARP, or NRA?
I would actually prefer a single-payer system modeled after the NHS in the UK (which I've had nothing but good experiences with), but yes, I would prefer a public option over the Baucus bill. Aetna and the like also need to be regulated far more than they are now if the American people are to keep doing business with them.

I started the gym 8 weeks a go and go up to 4 times a week, i do the arobic classes but have lost no weight at all and cant see the difference in my clothes fitting. what am i doing wrong?
You have to have a caloric deficit each day. A pound of fat is roughly equal to 3500 calories. For example, to lose a pound a week, you'd need to calculate your daily caloric expenditure on one of many websites and then subtract 500 from that number, thus equaling the target amount of calories you should be consuming per day.

Are we really alone in this universe?
Among the billions of galaxies, each harboring billions of stars, I think it would be foolish for us to assume we're the only planet with a species capable of higher thought and communication. Drake's equation predicts the likelihood of such species, but itself relies on quite a bit of guessing.
That being said, the chances that we'll meet said aliens is extremely low,...

I didn't know Rush Limbaugh was amongst the hippies. News to me!
I submit that anyone who says they hope the President fails because he's of a different political persuasion is much more unpatriotic than those who fight to protect civil liberties and better the nation in which they live.

Well, if it "doesn't bring up no picture and no sound", it sounds as though you haven't a problem.
However, if it doesn't bring up a picture or any sound, it might be the channel or perhaps the cord has a defect.

Why are atheists so obsessed with God that they keep discussing Him and will even use God (e.g. nogod4me) in their usernames, bumperstickers etc.?
I'm atheist and I'm not like that, but the question could be asked of any religion (or lack thereof). Why do people have Jesus fish, giant Jesus stickers or any other form of religious advertisement on their cars? It seems much more common to see religious bumper stickers and usernames (e.g. Ilovegod777).

After breathing in carbon monoxide, you will exhale
carbon monoxide plus water vapor and some carbon
dioxide. But the problem is that the hemoglobin will
react with it and the very stable carboxyhemoglobin
compound will be produced, which avoids the oxygen
feed to the cells. The hemoglobin reacts promptly
with carbon monoxide instead of oxygen.

Ok, 15 years old, overweight in my opinion im 5'8 and like 180. What basic exersizes would be good for me. I would like to gain muscle because I would like to enlist in the army when im older. No access to Gym.
Starting off with light cardio such as jogging or a lower-impact exercise such as cycling and supplementing calisthenics would work quite well. Just work your way up and don't over-exert yourself at the beginning and see what works best for you.

Why is it that in a relationship when the two break up the woman most likely takes it harder than the man?Why do they play tough and store up all their feelings inside? I wonder if they ever cry at night when no ones watching?hmm?
Generalizations are a no-no in my book. Anyhow, I've been known to take a break up badly, but only if the relationship ended because she cheated on me or something to that effect.

I want to know why there are so many emotionally unhealthy men out in the singles world. Every woman I know would love to be in a healthy relationship but as we get to know the man we are dating out come huge red flags that indicate why the man is single.
I don't know; I've run across the same with many women I've dated as well, though. I think that there are many people out there who have gotten the short end of the stick so many times that they become emotionally unavailable.

I broke up with my bf of two years a few days ago. He was my first "serious" relationship. I miss him so much and now I don't feel interested in other men, just him. My friends tell me to move on, but how can I if I feel this way?
I'm in the midst of the same thing. All I can do is occupy myself so that I don't have time to think on what I'd lost. At first, I'd always be lost in thought about the good times, but then I realized that there were also quite a few bad memories too. Try to keep occupied with something interesting and stimulating, though. That's my two cents.

Would you own or display a Rebel Flag?
When I was a child, I was really interested in the Civil War. I'd go to all the local re-enactments and buy lots of antiques, as such, I've come into the possession of one. I, however, do not display it.

I don't have any experience with the particular rifle, but in my experience, Ruger makes high-quality firearms. .300 Win Mag is also an amazing long range round; I've reloaded it quite a bit and I've never had better ballistic results.

Why do young people have such high levels of credit card debt?
They view it as 'free money' since they don't actually see it physically leaving their hands. I would venture a guess to say that they also haven't been informed of interest rates and only make the very minimum payment at irregular intervals.

Suicide is absolutely pointless. Think of the people you would leave behind and how much they would miss you. (Whether you think so or not, they really will!) Don't cut your life short...especially at your age...you have so much potential to have a wonderful life.

As trite as it sounds; try to stay positive. I've had a lot go on in the past year myself, so I've had to find other things to do to occupy my time. Learn to play a new instrument, learn a new language, get out and travel or just go out for a walk and look at the world around you. Time will pass and wounds will heal; whatever you do, don't go back to old vices.

Possibly because you still (and rightfully so) see her as your little girl with whom you've shared many moments during her upbringing. One's children will always be that way to a loving parent.
