Molar Pregnancy--egg has no nucleus, so is reabsorbed by mom's body after conception. (more in comments)
If a woman has what's called a molar pregnancy, doctors say that an egg was fertilized, so a pregnancy begins, but then the fact that there was no nucleus in this particular egg limits it from dividing/multiplying properly. The egg is reabsorbed early on and the pregnancy symptoms continue as usual, until the inevitable miscarriage or D&C is preformed.
My question is, if there's not a...

I spilled an ashtray on my mattress, but don't have a vacuum. Anyone have any tips on how to clean it up as neatly as possible?
I'd try slipping a piece of stiff paper under the pile of ashes and scoop it off into a dustpan. Then use a sponge with soap and water to blot it. Try not to rub or the spot will spread.
Answer to:
Have you ever had anything stolen? What is the most expensive thing you have had stolen? Did you ever get it back or get insurance money for the theft?
My car was stolen once. Funny thing is, my husband and I had just argued about me wanting to leave my leather jacket on the seat. He convinced me to put it in the trunk so it'd be out of sight and less tempting for a thief to break in and steal it. Instead of stealing the coat, they just took the whole car! lol
We ended up getting the car back, but only after the teen aged driver...

How often do you swim?
I go out to the pool with the kids a few times a week. It'd be a lot more often if our pool was bigger. It's too small and shallow to really swim, but I do use it to exercise and have fun with them. Love it when our neighbor with a built in pool invites us over to swim.

My friend's little boy is turning 2. What would be an unusual gift for him? I don't want to buy the usual stuffed toys, etc.
You could give him a set of plastic cookie cutters and a little rolling pin, etc. along with a card inviting him to come to your house to make home made play dough. There are easy recipes online. You can let him pick out the colors for the dough. Kool Aid packs work well and smell good too. :)Next time your friend needs a babysitter, you could have your play dough date and when you're done...

I'm guessing you were on your bike in the drive thru? If so, then you had no business being there. It is for motor vehicles only for safety reasons. You should have parked your bike in the parking lot or in front of the restaurant. If you couldn't lock your bike for some reason, then maybe a better choice would have been to ask an employee if you could set it inside the door while you...

We just found out that a friend always gives gift cards with no balance, it happened 4 times to 4 different people - should we call her out on it?
I would mention it to the friend in a non-confrontational, by the way, kind of tone. Just let her know you had a problem using it and ask her if she knows what happened. Maybe she bought all the cards at one time and had a problem with the cashier not activating the cards? If it is a good friend (which I would think that she must be if she's writing $40 on the cards) try to give her a...

Okay , is this a new thing?"black men don't committ crime?" i have heard this a few times...its stupid..but is it for real?
I haven't heard anyone saying this, but I would imagine it's a 'real men' act a certain way kind of message. Like "Real men wear pink" or "Real men fight on their knees" etc. Maybe it's just an attempt to use black men's pride to make them think twice about their actions?

Ok so my gf is pregnant and is going 2 the dr. this weekend i was wondering if any1 could tell me how far along they think she is heres a pic
As thin as she is, with a belly that sized, I'd guess she might be around 3 months. An average sized woman wouldn't be showing that much at 3 months, but your girlfriend doesn't have much fat to hide it behind. Could definitely be wrong though, so just wait and see! When we got the house, there were two yucca plants out front, three bushes and a large tree in the back and that's it--on a 10,000+ sq ft lot. Talk about plain and boring! The tree is great for shade, but drops hard balls with spikes all over the grass. Not fun for kids to run through while playing. I'd love to take it out eventually. What would u do if u saw someone geting mugged call the police or do something your self or walk on like u seen nothing?
I would definitely have to try and help. Not sure what I'd do, probably would depend on the situation--if I had my kids with me, size/scariness of the thief, size/age of the victim, etc. I do know that I could not walk by and do nothing though. I know this is putting some in the spotlight, but i need honest answers from cheaters. Do the people who cheat care at all how their partner would feel if they knew? Do they feel guilty and if so, why did they do it?
When I was younger, a married man I worked with hit on my constantly. He played so many mind games, I couldn't think straight and he wrapped me up in his world.
I myself had a boyfriend at the time, but we weren't really that serious and I knew we wouldn't end up married. He was just fun for the time being, so I didn't really think about him very much in this situation....
Answer to:
What age difference between couples is to much?
I'd say any difference that is large enough for the elder person to be the parent of the younger, so say, fifteen years or so. I think the younger the couple is, the more significant the age difference is. I'd think it was gross for a 33 year old to date an 18 year old, but if they were 75 and 60, than no biggy. Personally, I always preferred dating men only a few years older than me....

I would take as much time to talk with my child as I could-letting them know I love them, help them get a lawyer, giving them advice, etc. Then I would do the right thing and call the police. It would be torture to see them arrested and have them go through something as horrible as prison, but it would be the right thing and if I didn't turn them in, I'd be guilty of a crime too.

Do all the towels/wash clothes in your bathroom match (all same color/design) or do you have all colors, shapes, designs?
If I have time before company comes over, I try to have a matching set-solid light green ones with coordinated dragonfly/leaves ones. Most of the time though, towels are kind of draped all over the shower rod and thrown all over the floor. The joys of being the only female in a house of boys!

What are a few things you have done to save money?
We bought rubber backed curtains to block out heat and cold. We also turned down our thermostat to 68 during the day and 66 at night. (My husband wanted to lower it even more at night, but I said no because the kids don't stay covered up very well yet.)

What's the nicest thing you've seen a person do for a complete stranger?
Once, I was traveling at night alone with my two year old son. We got a flat tire just south of Bakersfield, CA-about two hours from my destination. I didn't have a cell phone and couldn't figure out how to get my tire off, so I took my son out of his car seat and began walking to the next off ramp. I was going to try to find a phone, but a car pulled up next to me.

How do you handle a boss that plays favorites, and his favorite doesn't know what she's doing half the time?
That was the situation at my last job. The girl next to me would talk bad about the boss behind her back and roll her eyes when she saw her coming. The moment the boss walked in the room, she was all smiles and greeted her with a big hello. The girl was constantly late and took none stop personal phone calls while I worked hard all day, came in on time and picked up the slack on the phones,...

What interesting or different ingredients do you put IN your pancakes, not on them? I like adding lemon peel and ricotta cheese, or sliced bananas and walnuts.
I mix in chocolate chips and a little vanilla or cinnamon and the kids go crazy for them. My step dad put peach slices in his. Once when I was little, my older sisters and I were fooling around and baked some pancakes. Turned out a little strange, but good if I remember right!

The last thing I microwaved was a cup of tea. The last thing I baked in the oven was a batch of peanut butter cookies I made in muffin tins. If a woman becomes pregnant and wants to have an abortion for whatever reason but the father of that child wants to raise it and he is stable and secure enough to do so, should he be able to go to the courts to prevent her from aborting the child?
I feel that if the woman consensually had sex and became pregnant, then the father should have equal rights to the child. If a woman wants an abortion, than the abortion clinic should be required to have signatures of both of the child's parents. If she seriously does not want to have the child, but the father does, they should sign an agreement that she will carry to term and then sever...

I was once told while arguing the concept of the beauty of the sexes, that the most unnattractive female's body in the world would always be more attractive than the most unattractive males's. I know 'attractiveness' is subjective, but any thoughts?
Well, if I have to see a naked person, that isn't my husband, I'd rather see a woman than a man. Their personal level of attractiveness doesn't matter much-- I just hate seeing a man's genitals dangling or worse, sticking out with an erection. (My own hubby excluded, of course!) At least a woman's genitals are less 'in your face'. So I can see how this could...

If I was single and found someone I was interested in, them already having a child wouldn't be a problem for me. I'd be more concerned about their relationship with the child's mother. If they got along without too much stress, than that would be fine. If she'd be constantly causing problems for us, then I'd have to think about just how strong my feelings were for the guy.

If I adopt a child, I would plan on letting them know from an early age that we chose them to be ours and that their birth parents loved them enough to choose adoption. If you know for sure that they haven't asked someone to stay with the kids while they are gone, then you have a moral obligation to get those kids help. I'm not all that organized, but I like to simplify my life and I'm hate sorting socks, so last time we needed new socks, I went out and bought about five bags of the exact same white socks for each of my kids in their sizes. Brought them home and got rid of all the old ones that were a million different sizes and varies brands. Now I know if it's big it goes to the older ones, if...

Maybe he's really busy on the weekends and wants to get to know you, but finds weekdays work better with his schedual. Or maybe his wife won't let him out of the house on weekends because his honey do list is too long. You'll have to find out answers...

Would you attend a wedding where the bride wore the "traditional" white wedding gown, even though you know she isn't a virgin?
If I was invited to a wedding, I'd assume that meant I was friends with either the bride or the groom. Yes, white is traditionally for virgins, but it's not my wedding and why would I want to hurt one of my friends by missing one of the most special days in their lives?

I want to name my future baby (boy or girl) Konstantine. What do you think?
I agree with Dave about the use of a K rather than a C. If you are just trying to make the name more unique, I don't think changing one letter is enough to do it and it will just be a sorce of frustration everytime you see it spelled with the more familiar spelling.
As for the name itself, I think it might be ok. You need to consider how it sounds with the baby's middle and last...

It would be nice if there was a way to get all the info from a long question more easily. I understand keeping questions short, but when more info is needed to give a proper answer, the person has to add info in an answer, which usually gets burried. Then you have to search through all the answers to figure out what everyone is talking about.

Depending on the situation I could see it a couple ways. If you were both being flirty and silly, I could take it as he was just carrying on the fun mood to show how much he really does like you. In that case, I'd think it was really cute. Almost seems like a scene from a movie! I'd just hope he checked the Caller ID first! lol

Do you believe that children (7 & 9yrs) can cope with parents splitting up & dad being with another woman? Is it true that in general in a divorce the dad loses out? He thinks he will miss them growing up & only see them when it's convenient for his wife.
Divorce is extremely hard on children at any age. It should only be considered as a last resort when everything has been tried to save the marriage first. If dad is with another woman, he's already made his choice, so I understand the need in this case.
In a divorce, the parent that leaves the home does miss out on so much of the day to day activities with the child. They aren't...

Do you find/cussing swearing cute?
Not at all. I think it is very disrespectful to swear in front of others who choose not to speak that way. I think swear words are used in place of other words due to a lack of vocabulary to accurately express what the person really wants to say. Bad words are used as a filler, just like 'um' and 'you know' and 'like', etc. It really bothers me the most when adults...

What is 7x-2(x+6)?
steps and answer please
im so bad at algebra..
Now that I saw you've edited your problem, here's my new attempt at solving it:
7x-2(x+6)=-2 Still multiply the -2 by x and by 6 to get:
7x-2x-12=-2 Combine the terms with x next to get:
5x-12=-2 Now you need to try to get x by its self so you can solve for it. You do this by removing the -12 first. The way you can remove it is by doing the opposite operation (sign) that...
Answer to:
What is 7x-2(x+6)?
steps and answer please
im so bad at algebra..
7x-2(x+6) Multiply -2 by x and -2 by 6 first, because they are in the parenthesis. You'll get:
7x-2x-12 -2 times x = -2x. The negative of the 2 times the positive of the 6 leaves you with a negative, which is why they make -12.
Next you need to combine the like terms, which means 7x and -2x. Just do 7-2 and leave the x as is. You'll get:
5x-12 This can't be...

Should "until death do us part" be taken out of wedding vows, since divorce is an everyday occurrence?
No. It should just be enforced. If someone wants out of a marriage, without a reason, such as infidelity, abuse, etc. then the other spouse should have the right to 'let them out' of their contract. :)

At what age is okay for a teenager to have a credit card?
I don't see any reason for one. They can have their own bank account with a debit card. That way they can learn to only buy what they can afford to avoid interest and still be able to pay instantly for things without carrying cash. Everyone would be much better off if there were no such thing as credit cards.

I love aquariums and would love to attend a wedding at one, that way if the ceremony itself is boring I have something else to occupy myself with. I think it'd be really cool if there is some significance to the venue and it's not just a cheesy stunt.

Answer to:
My son has produced a small pot belly. He's been eating a lot recently and waering baggier shirts, he's 14, 125 pounds (last time I checked), and 5'8, any advice on how to curb this weight gain?
As already mentioned, 5'8" and 125 lbs is NOT over weight. If anything, it's underweight. I'm 5'8" and used to be 135 lbs. I look back at pictures of myself at the weight and think I was so scrawny!
If he's just recently started eating more and is getting a little thicker around the middle, it might just mean he's getting ready for a growth spurt.

How do you feel about people who don't want to get married or have kids but want to stay in a long, committed relationship with someone?
Well, I believe in marriage, so that part I can't agree with, though I can understand how some people feel about it.
The no kids part is great if they both truly are in agreement. They're happy and helping make more room for the rest of this over crowded world.

Sure, if the meals would be prepared for me by someone who knows a lot about it. My hardest thing to switch from meat would be knowing recipes and getting enough nutrition. I'm not creative in the kitchen, so I'd need some help getting the hang of it.
Answer to:
Do you think marriage should have commitment renewals annually? (I would closely compare this to say health insurance.) You can change, modify, or drop it annually without all the legal stuff or drama.
No. Once you get married, you've already made the decision. It is meant to be a life long commitment and shouldn't be entered into with an option in your mind of it being anything else. People need to start taking more responsibility for their lives. Make sure the person you marry is the right one before it's too late and when times get hard or circumstances change, deal with it...

Do you have someone in your family that is bipolar? Is it hard for you to deal with?
My oldest sister says she is bipolar, and yes, she is very hard to be around. But she also claims to have a million other health issues that no one else in our family has, so it seems like she just wants physical symptoms that people can feel sorry for her to make up for the emotional pain of her childhood. I think she has a lot more mental illness than just the bipolar, and that is what really...

DO you own a microscope?
No, but I own a Canon Rebel XTi camera with a 100mm macro lens and a set of Kenko extension tubes. That combo lets me look at insects and flowers, etc. so closely I can see the details almost as though I had a microscope. (or at least it feels that way to me!)
It would be interesting to have a real microscope though. :)

At work when females need heavy things lifted they ask men to do it, why is this?
I believe if a woman can do something herself, she should at least try. If it is likely to be too much for her, then of course she should ask for help. Women are naturally stronger in their legs than upper body, so lifting isn't always easy. Men and women's bodies are made differently. Our elbows and hips are actually different--just look at a male and a female skeleton.

I wasn't sure what a Roma was until I read Singwell's comment (so thanks for the definition). I don't think I've ever heard of any gypsies in my area, so I wouldn't think there is any chance for discrimination. Maybe they are all in other states or I'm just naive about what's going on around me?

What would be smarter? To empty the little savings acct you have to pay off your credit cards, pay the minimum balance on the cc & bank for a rainy day or a little bit of both?
I'd say to get out of debt as quickly as possible. If you pay off the credit cards first, you'll eliminate the interest, plus the possibility of over the limit or late fees. I'd suggest getting rid of all the cards as soon as possible and using cash or debit cards whenever you can. You can always use a credit card if a rainy day should show up, but don't use it for things...

Is it wrong to flirt with a married woman if you're single?
Yes. You could think it is harmless, because you have no intention of acting on the attraction, but you could be inadvertently pulling her affections, love and commitment away from her spouse. I'm not sure about heating options, but I would suggest getting the walls insulated with the best you can afford. And if the rafters are exposed, consider drywalling them in with insulation as well. A rug on the ground would also help keep the cold out.

I like to mix tuna with mayo and mustard, relish, salt and pepper, dill weed, celery seed, and sometimes a little lemon pepper.
I also like it with hard boiled eggs and want to try it with olives, but haven't had the guts. It just sounds good. :)

How would you like to pay for your groceries?
I always pay cash. My next choice would be my debit card, but then there's the hassle of maintaining my check book ballance. I don't even have any credit cards anymore. After my husband got rid of all my credit card debt from before we met, I wouldn't even think about getting new ones!

If it takes 3 minutes to boil one egg, how many minutes does it take to boil 4?
The best recipe I've ever tried for hard boiling eggs says not to boil them at all. It said to place the eggs in a single layer in the pan and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil, then remove them from the stove. Let them sit in the water for ten minutes, then rinse with cold water.
Another helpful hint is if you want to hard boil them for Easter, you can poke the end with...

Sorry I don't know how to type the 3 as a power sign, but here's the best I could do. Hope it makes since:
y=3, then
3 to the 3rd(3 to the 3rd - 3)=
27(27-3)=
27(24)= 648
You have to multiply out the powers first, which is where I got 27 (3x3x3). Then you do operations in parenthesis next. And the last step is to multiply outside the parenthesis by the number inside the...

What do you have (or want to have) on your walls: paintings, prints, etchings, drawings, photos, posters, collector plates, calendars, wall hangings, something else?
We just made a temporary move to an apartment, so my walls are completely bare. We're buying a house and should be able to move in towards the end of October. Once we're settled in, I'd love to start hanging my photography work as large prints or on canvas. I did one black and white canvas print of my sons and loved it, but gave it to my grandmother as a birthday present. I hope...

The sight of my two year old's finger tip when it was 95% severed just below his nail bed. I could see through to the bone.(He stuck his hand in the doorway to my bedroom, just as I closed the door, so I felt horribly guilty on top of scared to death.)

What has been your worse sexual experience?
Yes. Once my ex husband tried to hold my hands over my head while I was on my back. Something about not being able to move freely and the way the moonlight was silhouetting his face reminded me of when a man broke into my bedroom in the middle of the night when I was a teenager. I had awoken with this guy straddling me and I had to fight him off. I kicked and screamed and when he tried to cover...

Do you prefer hot coffee, hot tea, or cold coffee, cold tea?
It depends on my mood. Every morning I make a cup of Lipton tea, nice and strong with either a ton of sugar or a few Splenda packets. Most of the time I'll add ice, but I also love hot tea. During the afternoon I'll usually drink another glass or two of tea. Most of the time I crave coffee instead is when I'm extremely tired or out and about. Then I love blended or iced coffees....

Should parental consent be required for underage pregnant women to have abortions?
Yes. Parents should know what their children are going through emotionally and physically. There is a high chance of complications, especially if the parent isn't aware. When I was a teen, I remember hearing about a girl who had one and didn't tell her parents. They made her mow the yard that day and she couldn't bring herself to tell them, so she hemorrhaged.

I am happily married. I went out the other night and drank WAY too much with some friends. While chatting with a random couple, they said we should have a threesome. NO WAY, but I did laugh and give the girl a joke peck kiss on the lips. Did I cheat?
If it truly was a joke of a kiss and you didn't feel any excitement, or arousal at the thought, then I'd say it was nothing more than an awkward situation and you were fine. You should probably be more careful who you spend time with when you're drinking though. As one person commented already, you may have been just a few drinks away from some major regrets.

I think it sort of depends on how well she knows you both. If say, she knew you both long term and knows that you live together (if you do), then perhaps she felt you shared finances and that you would help resolve it similarly to a married couple.
If she doesn't know you on a more familiar level, then I think what she did was more wrong and agree that her supervisor should be informed.

I stopped doing it regularly once my kids were old enough to keep up with me as I walked. I still pick up my three year old when I'm in a hurry or if he's really tired. I even carry my five year old when he's really worn out or just want to fill close to him.

I have before, but usually I wait until I get home. If it's other fast food, like McDonald's, I'll eat a few fries on the way home or if it's Panda Express, I'll buy pot stickers, and eat them all in the car.

Do you still call your uncles and aunts "Aunt....." and "Uncle....", even if you're an adult?
The only uncle I have (that I've met) died when I was very young, but we still refer to him as Uncle Richard. I have met my husband's uncles and we use the title for them as well.
I have noticed that my sons don't really use the titles for any of our extended family members. They refer to my sisters as the parent of their cousins, "Kenny and Michael's mom",...

Answer to:
Should i let my boyfriend put his hands in my nickers? i'm 14, and i want him too
I don't think it is a good idea.
You may have sexual feelings for him, and that is normal, but as soon as you experience a little bit of sexual pleasure, it is very hard to stop yourself from going further. If you start with a little of this and a little of that, pretty soon you'll be wanting to go further until you're trying to resist having sex.
At your age, there is...
Answer to:
Im 14 and i havent had a boyfriend what should i do
The longer you can wait to start experimenting with boys the better. You are still very young and a lot of parents won't even let their daughters date until they are 16. Don't rush things. Use your time now to focus on school and friends and fun. There is plenty of time in the future for you to start dating. The older you are the more mature you should be and will hopefully help you...

Do you approve two gay's being married?
Marriage to me is a special ceremony that was created to show a vow between a man and a woman before their God. I understand if someone feels that another person is special to them, that they would want to be with that person for the rest of their life. (I also understand the financial benefits too)
If someone is involved with another person romantically, then I think long term commitment is...

Do you support abortion?
I do not agree with abortion unless the pregnancy puts the mother's life in jeopardy.
I believe that the moment the father's sperm enters the mother's egg, the DNA combine to start a new and separate life. The life is both part the mother and part the father. So I don't understand the concept that women say it's just part of them, it's their body, their choice....

Sauerkraut, sweetkraut, or sauteed onions on your hot dog?
Eww. I've only had sauerkraut once and don't think I'd ever want to try it again. I've never heard of sweetkraut though. Sauteed onions sounds good if the hot dog is more of a fat sausage with lots of flavor.
At home, I just buy the cheap hot dogs, throw them in a bun and microwave them with a slice of American cheese over the top. Then add mustard and ketchup. :)

Is it possible after a break up , to get back together and for it to last a long time?
About 8 years ago, I started dating a guy from work. We really had a good relationship. He was ready to settle down with me, but I was at a point in my life where I needed to be a little more carefree and work through some stuff. We dated for three months and I finally broke up with him.
We remained friends and ate lunch together at work everyday, but we each started dating other people....

We eat there a LoT. With three boys 10 and under, we have tons of Happy Meal toys laying around here. I love their double cheeseburgers, McChickens and quarter pounders with cheese--if they are hot and fresh. I'm also finding myself pretty much addicted to their sweet tea this summer. I don't even want to know how much sugar there must be in them to taste so good. lol

There's a restaurant that serves an ice cream sundae with edible gold accents, served in a crystal bowl--for $1,000. Would you feel comfortable splurging on something like this if you had the $ or do you feel its ridiculous extravagance?
Thanks for answers everyone.
The Golden Opulence Sundae, the "World's most expensive sundae", was created to celebrate Serendipity's 50th Anniversary.
I wouldn't ever be able to pay that much for food. I feel guilty or weird even spending more than around $15 a plate for dinner at a nicer restaurant. And price aside, I don't think the sundae even looks...

How do you fix your banana split?
My favorite is to slice the banana into bite sized circles so they are easier to eat. Put those in the bowl first. Then add three or four big scoops of favorite ice creams. Heat up some hot fudge and a ton of that goes on next. Then if I have some, pineapple topping or caramel toppings are good. Whipped cream goes on next, followed by chopped nuts and or sprinkles of some kind. To top it off...

Me, right now at this very moment, as I'm dreading going over to my old house to finish up repairs and painting for the new owners to come move in this weekend. Just. Don't. Want. To. Move. Ugh. lol

Do you make assumptions when you see someone at the pharmacist's counter buying hypodermic needles?
I've never seen it either. If I did, I would probably think they are buying them for legitimate medical reasons, like insulin shots, etc. I doubt I would think they were buying them for drugs. It doesn't seem like someone buying illegal drugs would go the 'proper' route to get needles.

No and it really annoys me that they always throw it on my doorstep or in my yard. I think it should be considered littering, since they just end up in my trash. I'd rather they just stick to placing them in grocery stores where who ever actually wants one can grab it on their way out.

The town I lived in from 2nd grade through 7th was terrible. The main street of town was only a mile or so long. It had a so-so grocery store at one end and a scuzzy one at the other. Not much other than bars and liqueur stores and a few beauty shops in between. I would keep the letters. I still have love letters and little notes from way back in jr. high and high school. They are your memories. Just don't keep them so close at hand that you can dwell on them. Store them in a good safe place so you know they'll be there when you're ready. If it is too painful to store them yourself, ask someone close to you to help you out.

I think at the normal marrying age range, up to 5 years or so difference is about right for max difference, otherwise life experiences and maturity...

I always had perms and colored my hair from a fairly young age. I'd say if she really wants it straightened and is old enough to sit still without causing it to drip in her eyes, then go for it. However, you should do the allergy tests first to be on the safe side. If she is really young or has sensitive skin, then maybe a flat iron would be best.

A boob job is yours for free. Would you do it?
I wouldn't mind being slightly larger naturally, but I don't think I'd ever get enhanced surgically, even if it was free. I've heard that implants can make it hard to find breast lumps. My grandmother recently had a partial mastectomy due to breast cancer and I believe her five sisters all had breast cancer. With family history like that, I don't need to do anything...

If you were a guest at someone's house, and they let you sleep in their guest bedroom, would you sleep in the nude, then not change the sheets afterward?
If someone were a guest in my home, then I would treat them as family. I would want them to sleep however they feel the most comfortable, but to at least cover up if they leave their room. I don't want an unexpected eye full! In the morning, I would expect them to make up their bed or at least fold up their bedding if they've had to sleep in the living room (we don't have a guest...

If my felony is 11 years old do I still need report it on my applications?
I'd say yes. When you read applications, they say have you EVER been convicted, not have you RECENTLY been convicted. If that much time has passed and you have turned your life around, then go ahead and list it. Just explain as simply as you can in the details section and note that it was your last big mistake and you've learned and grown as a person since then. It's better to be...

Give me a reason why I shouldn't call my ex (he dumped me) right now?
You shouldn't call him because you need to respect the personal boundary he's established. He has stated that he wants to end the relationship with you. That's his choice. It can of course hurt you, but it was still his decision. You need to respect that and keep your distance. If you broke up with someone, you probably wouldn't appreciate them harassing you and putting you...

Underwear was definitely the first thing I thought of. Another would be shoes, but pretty much anything having to do with hygiene.

What do you think about those people who answer your question but don't rate your question?
I'm not sure how others will feel about this point of view, but when I see a question, I decide if it is a good question with thought put into the way it's worded, etc. Then I look at how many points it already has. If it has very few, I'll usually add to it as much as I can (currently +2). If it already has a ton of points, I try to decide if it really deserves that many points...

Even though it hurts extremely bad at the moment, you can in a way be grateful. He finally set you free from his world of deceit and now you can move on (when your heart is ready) and find an honest relationship with a guy who will treat you with the love and respect you deserve. Answer to:
Can you fill in the missing numbers and explain why 1= 2, 2=5, 3=?, 4=4, 5=5, 6=?, 7=4, 8=7 and 9=6.......?
Group 1 is a = a + 1, b = b +3, so c = c + 5:
1=2, 2=5, 3=8
Group 2 is a = a, b = b, so c = c:
4=4, 5=5, 6=6
7=4, 8=7, 9=6
Group 3 is a = a -3, b = b - 1, c = c - 3, so d = d - 1
7=4, 8=7, 9=6, 10=9
Hope that makes sense. I wasn't sure how to explain my logic. Are my answers or my reasoning even close to right?

Someone should explain to the dad that keeping his son's things at his house just because he bought them is selfish if it is making him miss out on having and enjoying them for the majority of his time. If you were stranded somewhere, like on an island, with no apparent food and water sources, would you stay there and hope to be rescued, or try to get away and possibly die in the attempt?
If there was no way to survive on the island why stay? At least with an escape attempt you have a slight chance for survival. No one can go long without food and water. And if you did die in the attempt, at least you'd know with your last breaths that you did everything you could and never gave up.

If you are a re-married widow/widower, will you be buried beside your former spouse or your new one?
The vows say till death do you part, so I'd say next to the current spouse would be the appropriate thing to do. Even though the first spouse had a place in your life, the current spouse should be a priority and not have to live in the shadow of the first, so why should they have to give up their spouse at their death to be buried by the first?

I wouldn't interfere if the parent looked like they they were showing self control and spanking with reasonable force. What is an appropriate time for a 4 year old child to be in bed?
It depends on when the child is getting up each morning and also if they still take naps. I think in general, kids that age on up to the teen years need a minimum of 10 hours of sleep a night. If the 4 year old is still napping, then it should be just a few hours after they wake up, not a few hours before bedtime. :)

Why do they spend so much money on stupid shows like Ugly Betty? Why do stupid shows like Ugly Betty move to NY, when Los Angeles has already lost so much from runaway production? With ratings down so much on this show, why not just cancel it?
Yes a lot about Ugly Betty is stupid, but I actually like the show. I think it's good to point out how people are so quick to judge someone by their looks and place unrealistic expectations on people. They had a good episode where young girls toured the magazine and some of the popular girls were pressuring another girl in the group to not eat lunch so she could be thinner like the models....

When does life begin? At conception? At 24 weeks? At birth? At 40?
I believe that as soon as the sperm combines with the egg it is a separate life. No it may not be complete or able to live on it's own, but it is no longer simply a part of the mother. Many animals give birth to tiny, helpless young that would not survive if not cared for and protected by the parents, so I don't think that being able to survive outside the womb is a valid reason to...

What is the hang up about eating food that has touched the floor??? The way I view it is if starving children in Africa can eat poisonous insects to survive, I can handle something that was briefly on the floor.
At our house, it depends on what kind of food it is (messy or dry, etc.) and where it landed (cleanish looking spot or right next to the trash cans where all the food dribbles are, eck!). We typically will pick food up, look it over and if it still looks clean, go ahead and eat it. An abortion is not reversible. Do not do it just because someone else wants you to. If the father wants nothing to do with the child, then he should walk away or sign over his paternal rights. He's had his say about his feelings, but has no right to force his desires on you. It is your pregnancy and just as much your child as his. I personally feel that abortion is ending a life. After...

Is it better to punish those in prison or try to rehabilitate them? Why do you think this way?
I think prison should be a mixture of both.
Prisoners are there because they have broken a law and threaten the security and peace of mind of others. They should have negative consequences for their actions. The worst punishment is being taken away from loved ones, if they had any, so that is a huge part of repaying their debt to society. But being in prison should not be a pleasant enough...

Why Do Cane Farmers Sometimes earn a higher income from a poor harvest than from a good harvest
I'm not sure about this, but the logical answer to me would be that if their crop was poor, then the crops of other farmers would also probably be poor. If there is less supply, the demand is just as great and they can charge a higher price for their cane, just like any other product.
Another answer might be that the government supplements their income in cases where their crops fail.

If I was in public and someone made bigoted comments of a general nature, I'd probably let it go. The reason it is questionable to marry someone related to you is because of the health risks to your children and the moral issue of marrying a family member.

To what introductions would your creative writing instructor say, "Don't start this way! ?"
Don't start at the beginning. Through you're reader right into the middle of the action in a scene. Dialog is a good way to do this. If you take pages of description to 'set up the scene' your reader may have already fallen asleep and drooled all over the text, ruining the ink before they ever get to the good stuff.

Here's the answer I just gave in another thread asking for help:
Create an outline before you begin. Come up with a general synopsis and then break it down into chapters. You have to make sure that you have enough of a storyline to fill a whole novel and you need to know where you are taking the story so you don't end up stuck in the middle with no conclusion. Also create detailed...

Do you distrust anonymous users?
I like the feeling of being more anonymous on this site than other places I visit online. I feel like I can ask and give more personal info than I would normally like traced back to me. I did add a D to my anonymous everyone can get to know me a little easier.
I think that regardless of who posts an answer, the information given should be judged on it's own merit. Advice shouldn't...

Naming a daughter after a car: classy or trashy?
I'd say a definite don't. In my son's preschool, they had cubbies with their names on them. One day I happened to read a row of names and side by side by side were Porche, Mercedes and Lexus.

HOW DO I GET RID OF BAD TOOTH ACHE
Obviously the dentist is the best long term solution, but for tonight if you don't have Orajel, another good solution is a sock full of rice. Take about a cup or so of uncooked rice and pour it into a clean sock. Heat the sock full of rice in short increments in the microwave, like about 20 seconds at a time until comfortably hot. Then rest the hot rice sock on your jaw. The heat will work...

Answer to:
If you hired a professional photographer, and they showed up to do the job with no equipment but a few disposable cameras they had obviously bought on the way to the appointment, would you fire them on the spot, or just trust in their artistic methods?
If someone hires a photographer, they should view their work first. If this was done and the work was the quality you're looking for, then why second guess the photographer? I might ask if it was his normal equipment or if he'd had a problem and was grasping at straws to make his commitment to me work.
The equipment doesn't make the art, the artist does.
Answer to:
Homeless for 4 years or prision for 4 years
I guess I'd have to go for prison. At least you have a roof over your head, a bed to sleep in, a shower, and three meals a day. Sure there are in mates all around posing a threat, but at least there are guards who 'should' protect you. If you're on the streets, you have no guarantee of any of these.
Answer to:
Would you be offended if a close friend of yours does not have your home address but just know how to get to your place? Why that feeling?
I wouldn't be offended. If they know how to get there, and choose to visit you because they care about you and enjoy your company, that's the important thing.
I don't know a single family member's address from memory or their phone numbers. I know how to get a hold of them through their email addresses or saved phone numbers on my cell phone if I need to.

Be creative. If you were homeless and had to stand on a street corner with a cardboard sign, what would you write?
I actually saw a local guy with a sign that read, "Need money for bud" the other side of the sign was simply a smiley face.
I loved his honesty. lol

Would anyone like to enlighten me as to what the Dream I had last night means? I was looking in the bathroom mirror, and my teeth began to fall out - one by one. Please help! P.S I have perfrect teeth - never had a cavity!
Loosing teeth in dreams is actually pretty common. It is said to be linked to the feeling of poor communication with someone.

At night when I am in bed alone I ____________
You mean some people actually get to sleep alone...? My husband was gone on a business trip last week and I STILL never got the bed to myself--at least not for long.
My two youngest kidos think it's their job to wake up in the middle of the night, come to my room and spread out in the most awkward, bed hogging manner possible-typically with an elbow or foot in the middle of my back....

I think I'm jealous of Obama. My boyfriend is really into politics and he thinks that Obama is like the best guy on earth. He is always volunteering for his campaign and I never get to see him anymore. What do I do?
Fill your free time with something that's of interest to you. Enjoying your time away from each other should make you happier and he'll enjoy coming back to you more than if he knows you're just sitting there waiting to complain about him always being gone.

Photoshop Elements 5. Tried to send a pic using their email and got this response: "Your email could not be sent because an unknown error has occured". Worked fine earlier today. What could have happened. Tried sending to myself also. No good.
Have you tried just turning off your computer and restarting it? A lot of times Photoshop and other programs act goofy, but restarting fixes the glitch.
If that doesn't work, I'd just send the photo through your regular email account.
Good luck!

What was the most memorable news you ever watched?
For me it was just a short news break that interrupted the show I was watching. A guy parked his truck on an overpass and rolled out a banner complaining about health care. He just looked like a protester causing a nuisance. They blocked off the road and had helicopter coverage.
He sat back in his truck for a minute and then tried to catch it on fire with himself still inside. He must have...

Any girls out there like being gunged or seeing others gunged?
I had no idea what it was either and was almost afraid to click on this question. lol But curiosity got the best of me, so I Googled it. Gunge apparently is slime. I found a video on YouTube where a couple was on a game show and she got gunged with a huge tank of the goo over her head.
Looks like it could be fun...until you try to clean up afterwords!
Answer to:
Should engagement rings always contain diamonds?
I think I'm a traditionalist. It would just seem odd if my engagement ring wasn't the beautiful diamond that it is. But if another couple both feel comfortable with a different stone, then I don't think there is anything wrong with it. For instance, if she's already been engaged before, it might be nice to have something completely different.

Is it possible that Jesus was a blackman?
I believe that Jesus was and is the son of God. He was born to Mary, a Jewish young lady, but does the Bible actually say he was biologically hers? If so, than he would take on characteristics of her heritage, but what if she was just like a host body with no shared DNA?
The Bible says in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. I've always been taught...

Should i turn in my best friend's boyfriend for stealing and using others' credit cards
If you know for a fact that he is guilty, the simple answer is yes. It is a crime. It can ruin many people's credit, causing them incredible problems and it is just plain wrong of him to be doing this. If you don't turn him in you are just as guilty as he is. Please try to imagine if you were one of his victims. Wouldn't you want justice?

He makes sure the bills are paid on time and takes care of the house repairs (when he gets around to them anyway...lol) He does his own laundry and I do it for myself and our three sons. Have you ever done something big like get married in secret then you told your family later on?
My husband and I dated for a few months, then broke up for several months. We still ate lunch together at work everyday during that time, so the relationship still developed, we just weren't dating each other. When we finally got back together as a couple, I brought up the idea of going to Maui for a vacation. He said he could check with a travel agency to see how much it would be. I told...

What would you take from your house if it was on fire and you could only take one thing?
For a long time I had a metal box with all the negatives of my photos. The idea was that it would be easier to carry than a bunch of printed pictures in albums and on the walls. It would have been what I'd grab in a fire, but now I have a digital camera.
All of my family pictures and my writing (including a first draft of my first book) are on my laptop, so I'd probably save it...

Girls: When you receive a single rose by a male, do you view it as they were to cheap to buy the other 11 or find it romantic that it is singularly beautiful, or what ever you are supposed to think about a single rose?
When my husband and I were dating, I started work at 5am. He worked for the same company, but started at 7am.
One morning, I found a silk rose and a bottle of Starbucks' Frappuccino sitting on my desk with a simple note that said, "I love you". The coffee was still cold, so I knew that he hadn't left it on his way home the night before. He had woken up early enough to go...

I knew my bf smoked weed when we 1st started hanging out, but it was a reason I wasn't even going to give him a chance & he knew this. He has slowed down & he doesn't do it in front of me, but we still fight about it. It is stupid to think he will change?
Yes. If he enjoys it and sees nothing wrong with it PLUS he already has you as a girlfriend, what incentive does he have to quit? And if he doesn't do it in front of you, how do you know that he's really slowed down? I think you should break things off with him and find some one that respects your feelings more.

I want to marry a man that I have been dating for 4 years. We both have been married an divorced once. We both at first said we would never get married again but now I do. Would it be wrong for me to ask him to marry me knowing he does not want to marry.
I wouldn't suggest a full out proposal at this point. You should talk with him first to get a feel for where his heart is at the moment. If you pop the question out of the blue, you may be setting your self up for a heartbreak. I like the previous answer that suggested discussing how each of your feelings may have changed over the years. If he knows where you're headed emotionally,...

If your dating for over 10 years and he never popped the question. But you had to get pregnant to get married, and he marries you after 3 years of the birth. Is this a man who is inlove with her?
It could be that he loves her, but has had some hurts in the past that make him wary of marriage. If he's seen family that have bad marriages, maybe he didn't place as much value on the 'piece of paper' or worried that he wouldn't be able to be a good husband.
The important thing is how he treats her each day. Does he treat her in a loving manner? Does he act like he...

If you love someone that you're not compatible with, could it still work?
I think it depends on why you say you are not compatible. If its something to do with "He's a night owl and I'm a morning person" or "He loves red meat, I'm a vegan" etc. Those are the types of things you can work around and accept about each other.
If it is more serious incompatibility issues, like one of you hates the idea of being a parent and wants to...

How much money should I give my 4th grader for lunch?
Everyone is answering as though they assume you are asking about how much to send with him/her to school. If it is for school, $2-3 a day would be good, although it will very depending on schools. We just moved to a new school district and milk here is .40 a carton, but at the old school it was only a quarter. Lunch at the old school was also only $1. Here it's over $2.

My hamster learned how to escape and has recently been escaping I have tried rope and stickers to tighten the door but nothing worked, What do I do?
I would move the cage and place the door next to a wall or place something heavy, like a book on top of the cage if the door is on top. Then I would look into buying a new cage with a different type of latch as soon as you could afford it.

Have you ever been brutally attacked by an inanimate object? My desk caught me as I stood up just now.
The only time I've ever broken a bone, was a few years ago when I broke my toe--stepping over a child's safety gate.

Do elbows produce grease?
If you're referring to the phrase 'a little elbow grease', I'd say it's referring more to the fact that bending your elbow, as you would to scrub or do hard labor, would make you break a sweat and start feeling greasy. I have never had my actual elbow create grease. :)

Should a 7-year-old girl wear make-up any old day, keep it for special occasions, or not wear it under any circumstances?
I would say that it would depend on the situation. If I had a little girl watching me put on my make up, and she was curious, I might dust her VERY lightly with a little blush or dab on a little lip gloss, just so she could feel pretty in a fun way. If she was going to be a flower girl in a wedding, then maybe a little more, but still in a very subtle way that would keep her looking like a...

My son won't talk to his kindergarten teacher when she greets him at the door. He was the same in pre-school. He approaches kids easily and is a clown by nature, but clams up during greetings. She took away his recess because of this. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the input everyone. We had back to school night tonight and I was able to talk with the teacher for a few minutes. We cleared things up and apparently I was misunderstanding the details a little. I thought she was punishing him for not greeting her at the door, but apparently they all also say good morning during rug time. She went down the list of kids and they all responded...

Would you spank your child @ 15 y/o if he/she came home drunk & stumbling?
First I would try to remember that you can't reason with someone who is intoxicated and hopefully have the wisdom to wait until they sobered up to try to deal with the situation.
I think the punishment should decided after I had all the details of the incident. Is the child someone who is normally a good kid that made a bad choice? What's going on that would make it seem like a...

My fiance owns a house that he can't refinance and he can't sell it without a huge loss (many foreclosures in his area). He wants to buy a new house and then let his old property foreclose. If we buy a house together can the bank put a lien on new home?
Has he thought about renting out his current house?
My husband and I wanted to take advantage of the foreclosure prices out there to get a bigger house while we could afford it. We already owned our house though and knew it'd be hard to sell it for what we owe on it in the current market. (especially since the house next door is about to go into foreclosure).

My husband and I are buying a home that is bank owned. We found it on ziprealty.com. It is a site that lists tons of houses in a way that was very user friendly to me and it is free to use. You can pick search options, like price, sq. ft. of home and or lot, style of home, etc.
You can search exclusively for foreclosures, fixer uppers or new construction. There aren't any fees to sign...
