This morning the ich was all over her body and all over the other fish. A couple days ago the ich was only on two fish. If you have put something in the water to treat it then your high water temperature will help cure it quicker. As the parasite that causes Ich will complete the 3 stages of it's life cycle quicker than at lower temperatures , and as most treatments only kill the parasite in it's free swimming stage, the sooner the parasite reaches the free swimming stage the sooner it is killed. The ph level in my freshwater aquarium is off the chart sky high, even the pet store owner is amazed. My water from the tap is perfect. Everything in my tank is purchased from WalMart or a pet store. I am frustrated, it shouldn't be this much trouble. Something is leaching into the water. A rock possibly ! To test if the rock is suitable to place in an aquarium put a little vinegar onto it and see/hear if it fizzes. If it does then don't use it :)

The main differences are that the swordfish has no scales or teeth as an adult and the shape of the sword of the swordfish is depressed. Where as the sailfishes is more rounded. And the sailfishes dorsal fin is larger than the swordfish. And as 'RondoRedux' says the sword is used for defensive purposes as well as swinging about in a pod of fish to stun them :)

My plesco has a white spot on his back which seems to be getting smaller although I'm not treating him. Is it normal or should I treat the water with some anti-bacterial? If it's getting smaller then I wouldn't worry to much. But to stop this happening again i'd cut back on the feeding just a little as it's probably caused by something that has gone uneaten on the bottom of the aquarium and started to decay and as catfish are mainly on the bottom they tend to get these sort of things before any other fish :)

If you've been overfeeding, and it sounds like you have then perform 1/3 of the tank water changes every other day. To prevent shock makes sure the replacement water is de-chlorinated and of the same temperature.

I have ten gallon aquarium. I recently re-did it, put in black rocks. I have fantail goldfish in it. Ever since I redid it my AquaClear Foam filter insert has turned pink. I have changed the filter twice and cleaned the aquarium. Turned pink every time. Did you get the rock for a pet shop or did you just find them ? If you found them the I would test them first if you put a little vinegar on the rock and if it fizzes you may have to listen closely, then they are no good to use in an aquarium.

I'm really not a fan of the weekend blocks as they really aren't necessary. Any healthy fish will be fine going without food for two or three days. As they would in the wild. It would depend a lot on the size or the eventual size of the plecos. But if they are no more thern 3-4 inches then you could add a few more smaller fish. say some tetras or more livebearers.

My goldfish's tail is bent towards the surface. It looks like a V between his top fin and his tail fin. Also his bottom fin is getting smaller and smaller. His bottom fin started as a nick and then each day has been getting worse. What's wrong? This, i'm afraid sounds like it is a deformity. As goldfish are breed in large numbers many problems/deformity's do occur. If it seems happy and not struggling or in pain then just treat it as though it is a normal goldfish. But don't breed from it :)

My front door contains a mosaic glass window that is fairly easy to see through at night. Is it possible to install blinds on a door? It might be better if you put a light (porch light) on the other side of the door. This will make it harder for someone to see into your house and also you'll be able to see if/who is on the other side. And you wont be hiding your stained glass :)

Do you know any homemakers who are men, whose wives are the breadwinners in their homes? Ya a really good friend of mine is a house husband. He's itching to get back out to work though, he's not used to staying in, as he's a bricklayer.

Because you change the clocks doesn't mean that you'll get more or less sunlight a day ! In the UK it is because it makes sure children go to and return from school while their is still light....
