I am trying to stay sober. The problem is, everyone I know drinks (all of my friends, family etc). I feel really alone and unsupported. my friends tell me to "lighten up" and get drunk with them. How do you stop leaning, and needing a friend? For the first time in my life, I have allowed myself to, and I don't like it, but how do I stop? Don't stop being that persons' friend first of all. Ask yourself what you can do for yourself first before leaning/needing on that friend. Once you come up with an answer or two act on it. Take time to think. You'll find that you have a lot of answers. It actually can be fun.
