I gave birth last week. 13 hours prior to birth i thought my water broke, but it was brownish. I ruptured about 6 hours later clear fluid. My baby became distressed, I caught a fever and i had to undergo a ceserean. Was the brown leakage a sign of danger? It was probably your baby having a bowel movement inside of you. The brown substance is called meconium and yes it can be dangerous if it happens when you are at home and not at hospital. But if you and your baby are now fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

What is the craziest thing you have done to potty train your kid (insentives, rewards, actions, punishment, etc.)? My son would not train, no matter what I did. I tried EVERYTHING and I mean that. Finally, when he was about 3 1/2, close to 4, I told him that if he didn't start doing peepee on the potty the bad man was going to come and take me away. It may have been mean, but it worked. He was fully trained within 3 days and he doesn't even rememeber me ever telling him that. He is almost 8 now.
