It is always acceptable, at any age. Burning your finger when you're 80 hurts just as much as when you are 5.

Good question. It's quite arrogant to think one knows what is best for everyone else, isn't it? Our government has a habit of doing that -- telling us who can marry, how long we should live and so on. I get tired of it. "They" are the boss as long as the majority of us allow them to be.

For me, I have to believe what I am doing. If I'm acting the role of Willy Wonka, I have to completely immerse myself in Willy's character before I go onstage. If I'm Willy, I'm not nervous. It's a question of psyching yourself out.

Unfortunately, too many. A friend's sister died of bone cancer, which had originally been breast cancer. A great uncle died of leukemia. A coworker died of colon cancer. A neighbor died of skin cancer. There are more, but it's depressing to discuss.

I don't know any atheists who gather together to discuss their non-belief in a god. Atheists don't have beliefs, so it would be pretty difficult to discuss them. Even if they did, how is that like a church? I thought the purpose of a church was to worship. Atheists don't.
