Do I really have to have that soft bedding in the cage? I think my bunny doesn't like it.
I used to just put a towel down. I found my bunnies enjoyed the coool bottominstead all that warm stuff. It's easier to clean too. If your bunny is just wasting then I wouldn't worry about it too much as long as their litterbox to hang out in.
Answer to:
We introduced a 8 week old female to a 10 week old female and the 10 week old female attacked her. What should we do that will stop them from fighting. Im a very scrwmish person and when they started fighting it scared the hell out of me and upset me.
First of all- the easiest way and safest way to introduce rabbits is when they are altered (meaning spayed or neutered)2nd, make sure you are doing it in a place both bunnies have never been before. 3rd, go to this website to learn more. http://www.rabbitnetwork.org/articles/bond.shtml
I hope this helps! Goodluck! :)

Take her to the vet. Better to be safe than sorry. They will give you meds to give her to fight any infection incase it got in the wound. Better to prevent an abcess than get one. Good luck!

My rabbit was out in the garden before, for the first time. Now it looks like he is paralysed. I picked him up and he just flops about. He's still breathing, and can move his head slightly. Does anyone know what could be wrong?
YOU NEED TO GET YOUR RABBIT TO A VET ASAP!!!!He could be having heat stroke. Go to the vets now.

My 8 week old female lionhead rabbit is chewing the wood in her hutch what should i give her to stop it
I give my bunnies these wooden fruit toys that are safe for chewing- they smell like the fruit so the rabbits go nuts for them. I also give those little cat balls and toilet paper rolls- that should keep her busy until you can give her play time. There is this wooden carrot toy lso that you can attach to the cage and my rabbits went nuts for it. You can get all this stuff at Walmart. Hope this...
Answer to:
I gave my rabbit a stuffed animal but he continues to try to mount and hump us. how do i get him to stop?
Is your rabbit altered?? If your rabbit gets altered (spayed or neutered) this will cause the hormones to stop raging. Never hit your rabbit when it is doing something wrong as they do not understand what they are doing wrong and will begin to distrust you and your bond with your bunny will be broken. Rabbits tend to hump either to establish dominence or for mating. When your rabbit starts this...

I have been old that paper towl and toilet rolls are a safe toy for bunnies to play with. Is it really ok if they ingest it? And My bunny keeps getting a mild ear infection which keeps causing cecal dysbiosis off and on. R there anyways I can prevent this
IT wont let me post comments!! This is in response to Galeandas comment:
I m beginning to wonder. She is turning four and I think it may be a bit of a struggle for her to reach. I have noticed that since I got her spayed she really calmed down and has gotten lazy. She has her own bedroom for goodness sakes! My mother likes to sneak in here and feed her these human treats which I know is not...

Well here is the thing- She doesnt seem to be in any pain at all. She is eating, playing and acting completely normal. The only way this brough my attention was cuz when it first started she was shaking her head and scratching her ear. It is off and on and only happens once a day either...
Answer to:
My rabbit has got hardly any fur left from where she keeps pulling it out. She has been doing this since this mornig and is eating a lot.
It sounds like either wat Galeanda sayid or it could be stress. Is your bunny in a place where there is lots of choas and loud noises? Could be something in her environment that is stressing her. It most likely is a false pregnancy if she hasn't been bred. Getting her spayed will eliminate this problem.
Answer to:
My rabbit constantly sits under her watter bottle and lets it drip onto her head or tushy. she is a year and half old and fixed, and we have moved the bottle severl times yet she still does this can anyone help explan why or how to stop her from doing it
Its probably because she is hot. Is your rabbit cage near a window or in direct sunlight?? Try what Gamer girl and proud wrote and see how that goes.

Hmm thats a tough one. I have a bunny who has no desire to be brushed either. IF the veggies work- then i say only brush her til she gets all crazy. Maybe give her a little pile of timothy hay to munch on after her veggies are gone? Try just sitting there patting her for a while so she calms down and relaxes. Start with a nice little bunny massage and then once she relaxes start brushing but...

Yesterday my male to my male and female rabbits who are not fixed yet started humping and biting the female. The female was making a cry-like grunting noise. Should I seperate them until they are fixed? What do I need to know? Why was this happening?
DONT ANSWER PEOPLES QUESTIONS IF YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE ASKING!
Ur female thinks she is probably pregnant already from your male and is just telling him to back off. He could be mounting her for dominance or to reproduce. I would keep them separated until they are fixed. Things will go a lot smoother if you do and you wont have an unwanted pregnancy or litter. My female used...

Umm I live in Ontario and I called a bunch of vets in my area that dealt with rabbits and the lowest price I found was $130. Look up vets in ur area and see if they specialize in exotics and see whats the lowest. It;s important you go to a vet that has experience with rabbits. You will have to neuter both bunnies if you are going to introduce them to each other. Making a deal with ur local...

Had planned gentle intro but hutch floor broke and female rabbit fell into male rabbit's hutch. Both found snuggled together yesterday morn, looked happy so put in run and watched male bully female. Brought new hutches, female terrified
I think thats great but I would DEFINATLY spay ur female as it would be such a shame to go through all this and have her get stuck with uterine cancer. I dont think there is any animal that actually enjoys being sick. It is normal for bunnies to be scared to go tothe vets but in the long run it is the best thing you could do for your rabbit.

Hi i got a new rabbit on monday the lady in the shop said she is 6 weeks old when we try to handle her she kicks and scratches us and makes us bleed {like pricking yourself on a cocktail stick } we are going to get her nails cut but is this due to her age
Aww she is just a little baby and is probably very frightened. She is used to other rabbits ad probably not people. I m sure you listen to information Galeanda gave you all will be well. Start slow with your new little cutie. Rabbits are prey animals and picking them up can scare the hell out of them. Good luck.

Answer to:
What does it mean when a rabbit lick you?
If they are doing this after you are petting them then they are most likely saying thank you. Rabits lick as affection. It could possibly be that you are rather tasty but if they are social with you it is most likely because they see you as being a friend and are just showing their affection for you.

Why would my rabbits suddenly start to fight. They are brother, sister & mother & the brother & sister have attacked their mother, we have separated them. The male has been neutered but the females have not - does this make a difference?
You need to get your females spayed as they wont get a long unless everyone is altered because they will all have territorial issues. Spaying will make them happier and they will all manage to get along. Rabbits need their own space though so you did the right thing separating everyone because when rabbits fight over territory they will fight to the death whether they are related or not and...

I was advised by my vet not to bond my females 1yr old(spayed) & 6 yr old(unspayed)as the 6 yr old has always been alone and now set in her ways. I want them to have companionship. If I house them with a wire partition, is this enough for them?
That is a tricky situation! I would suggest giving it a shot as your 6 yre old female may possibly not be able to smell the other spayed female so it might not be a problem. I would take the two of them on a car ride or in a different room on the house and see how it pans out. Just step in at the first sign of aggression. IF it doesnt work outI would DEFINATLY suggest the wire partition. My...

you need to separate them. Thats terrifying for the poor bunny... give them both their own cages and keep them where they can see each other and still have each others company. Spay and neuter them as soon as they are 6 months old. I know its expensive with two bunnies but if you look around and talk to shelters you might be able to find a really really good vet. I have to baby rex bunnies. They were born on December 25, 2007. They are in the same cage. The blonde one is twice the size of the brown one. I can't tell their sex yet but I did find the blonde one humping the brown one. Should I be scared.
Umm i m not too sure if you should be scared but i would suggest the best thing to do is to put them in sep cages side by side. The humping could just be a sign of who is the boss in the cage but it could get very aggressive and the bunnies could really hurt or even kill each other. As rabbits sexually mature which is usually 4 months of age- they become more territorial of other animals and...

I'll tell you what it is- HORMONES!!!!!!! Your bunny is most likely sexually maturing and is temperamental because she has "issues". Rabbits are territorial and usually females become aggressive if they are not spayed. MY bunny was pretty much the same way but I just got her spayed 2 or 3 weeks ago and she has calmed down. Spaying your bunny will be the best thing for her- she...

I think you should give your buns more time than 20 minutes of playtime. They need on average of 30 minutes a day to burn off some steam.

Ive had my rabbit since easter, just lately he has been biting the wire netting on his hutch is he sad? why does he want to escape?
Rabbits have the instinct roam free. Rabbits need to have an exercise run for half an hour or 45 minutes or even more than that. Let your rabbit out for some free time and he ll be so pooped out when u get him back to his home he ll nap and be content and look forward to the next time u come to spend some time with him.

Maybe she is attracted to the curtains or just loving life! I know I'd be happy if I was getting my house cleaned by someone that brings me free food and treats and love! My male used to that before he was fixed and he d run circles around my feet. Love is in the air for your buns by the sounds of it.

Hey, Whenever I walk past my rabbits cage her teeth chatter.. ??
Why is this
It could be a couple things. Ur buns could be in pain cuz thats one of the reasons rabbits grind their teeth but this is if they are in a lot of pain, check to see if there is any drooling or wetness under her chin because if there is there could be a problem with her teeth. If not, then ur bunny is happy to see you! bunnies will gently chatter their teeth when they are excited or happy. Mine...

B) Telling you to keep petting and that they dont appreciate you stopping.

Well it sounds as if your bunny has decided that he want to burrow in ur couch. Rabbits like to hide in small places becdause it makes them feel safe. Maybe if you give him some wooden chew toys and box he can hide in he wont be so determined to hide in the couch. Hope this helps.

I have a 6 year old guinea pig who has suddenly stopped eating and his poo is black when it is usually brown. His eyes are wet and he doesnt seem to be feeling good. I am taking him to the vets tomorrow but am wondering if there is anything i can do?
HERE'S WHAT HAPPENNED TO THAT GUNIEA PIG:
I changed his food brand and he started eating. The piggy was tired of eating the same old food I guess and he perked RIGHT UP and got back to normal. Maybe he was feeling under the weather but my vet had no clue and we almost put him down! Thank GOD i didnt. What a picky piggy.
Answer to:
I mated my rabbits together about 3-4 days ago. I'm pretty positive she's pregnant because I left her in his cage all night. She's hardly touched her food in 2 days. I'm worried . What do you think is going on?
The fact that your rabbit is not eating is NOT A GOOD SIGN. When a rabbit stops eating they shut down very quickly. I suggest if she isnt eating anything at all then i would rush her to a vet to get checked because there could be something seriously wrong with her that you are unaware of or something could have happenned when you left her in the cage with the buck. Goodluck

I had a bunny who would lick my face alol over like a dog and nip at the corners of my eyelids which only ever happenned once cuz it hurt like hell! But my rabbit was trying to groom out "hard to reach" stuff. Maybe your bunny is going the same. I think when ur rabbit looks up at you its saying," k i know I got your attention, now love me!!"

I just got a lionhead bunny today and I am not sure what is going on. They said her age was about 12 weeks. My daughter and I held her and cuddled her all was fine. this evening she has begun lunging at us and biting if we put our hand in the cage?
Well it sounds likes ur bunny was rather quite nervous with the trip hoem and the new surroundings. Then she got used to her home and rabbits around 3 or 4 months of age- if they are not spayed or neutered are territorial Just because she may feel liek u are an intruder in her space and is just trying to tell you-" hey this is my place u cant come in here"Dont forget- rabbits are...

Why are my two bunnies spraying urine at each other?

I have 2 female rabbits (unspayed because they're not yet 4 months old) and they live like best friends in a large dog crate. Tonight I got another female and tried to introduce her into the cage. They started fighting so I took the new bunny out. Advice?
Another way to introduce them which will work MUCH better- is to take them all to a place in the house where they have never been before and introduce them. If that doesn't work well put all three of them in the car and go for a slow ride around the block- that is usually a good way for them to bond. Well it sounds to me that your rabbit is just comfortable in her element. Rabbits who are content usually flop out on the side or put their feet in the air. As long as your rabbit is pooping normally and eating and drinking then i would say this is just a phase of behaviour:) Think of it this way- Rabbits have an instinct to always be on the lookout for predators. when a bunny is comfortable...

Awww! Thats so cute! hes obviously mad for being put away. My bunnies do the same thing, they love being out bt wen its time to go back in they both get mad and stomp their feet and try to dig at the cage floor. I think ur bunny is having a buny tantrum. Poor lil dude
Answer to:
I have kept my two netherland dwarfs together as they are sisters, and felt that they needed each other for company. I have been reading on here that is is best to keep rabbits apart, (I have separated them now) wouldn't they get lonely?
I agree with Galeanda. I would do the same thing. It depends on how old they are too cuz as babies they could get along one day and then the next they could change cause hormones come into effect if they arent fixed and causes territory issues which is why they would fight to the death. Better to be safe than sorry. Keeping them in the same room where they can see each other is ok. My friend...

Had a buck(5) and doe (2) then I went to a show and got another doe. for some reason when I tried to introduce my new doe to my old one, my old doe attcked my new one. need help because my older doe has never shown any agression toward my buck or I. so y?
A girl's gotta protect her territory! If your doe is not fixed she is going to have some serious issues with this threesome. Unfixed rabbits are very territorial of their space and introducing a new rabbit that is the same sex it is not going to be a good idea. You CAN try to introduce them all in an unknown space like a place in the house they have never been before, your male and the...

Okay, My friend braught over her male bunny (dwarf) to spend some time with my female (dwarf lop). I do beleive that the female MUST lift her tail to mate, right? But she won't. He still mates but will it work? Will she give
Shes prolly lifting without you know it. She could already be preggers. If they arent mating, then they are discussing dominance. But if both parties arent fixed or one or the other- then they are most likely mating. Are you trying to get her pregnant?
Answer to:
I have a male house rabbit who is just over a year old and going to to be castrated.Whats the best companion for him?
I think a guniea pig would be a good companion for a fixed male bunny. Or you could another fixed male or fixed female. All you have to do is make sure you introduce them in unfamiliar territory such as a room in the house they have never been. If they dont try to kill each other within the first few minutes its a pretty good bet that they can be friends but keep an eye on them for the first...

Ive had my rabbit since easter, just lately he has been biting the wire netting on his hutch is he sad? why does he want to escape?
Your bunny most likely wants out or is bored. How about you throw some toilet paper rolls in there for him to play with? Or even better you could let him out to play for an hour or two and let him explore. How would you like to be locked up for hours and hours on end? Pay attention to your little buddy. They are like kids they need play time and nap time. Give him a carrot and stuff to occupy...

How early can you have a male rabbit neuted?

Answer to:
Rabbits
Is it ok to put 2 male rabbits in the same cage? I heard that males will fight until death. Is this true?
YES THEY WILL FIGHT! unless they are neutered and introduced properly they will most likely fight because they have territory to protect. As babies, yes u can put them together because hormones have not gotten in the way...yet. You can give it a try but the friendship most likely wont last long. and it could get very nasty and heartbreaking cuz someone will die. Good luck!

I have a 7month old female lionhead lop. she has a grey/white colouring with a black nose.she lives in the house and hops round happily all day, she's very tame and i have been considering breeding her. is it best to purchase a male or to borrow one?
Why would you want to breed her and do that to her? There ar enough unwanted animal bunnies that need good homes as it is. Plus its painful and she s just a baby! Let her be a happy bunny!

My female rabbit wasnt a good mother to here first litter should I get rid of her?

I bought two rabbits from a reptile and fish store, One rabbit is totally loveable and the other is a problem bunny. This bunny scratches, bites, growls, at me and bites chunks of furr from the nice bunny. It also peed and chewed up my carpet.
Ahh it sounds like u have a male bunny. Some people call this spraying, i witness squirting or just regular ol' peeing onm an angel. The first thing u have to do is get a decent sized litterbox. You can get one of those corner ones or a box one whichever u prefer. I m pretty most pet stores sell the recycled paper litter, its cat litter and its in the shape of pellets and is called Enviro...

To answer your "statement", you dont need to return your bunny. Thats the stupidest thing i have ever heard. Pet stores cannot guarantee personality. NONE. You need to fix your rabbits to make them better pets as the guy above said. I have two bunnies EXACTLY like you. one...

I have just got a baby male rabbit as a companion for my 18 month old neutered male rabbit. Yesterday I introduced them in a neutral area and the 18 month old attacked the baby. Is this a hopelss case or how do I over come this situation.
I suggest that u put ur bunnies in sep cages for now and keep them in the same room so they can get to know each other on their own terms,. You did the right thing with introducing them into neutral terrotory. Def. get ur baby neutered when the time is right but as for now seeing as u cant do this until he is 6 months, keep them in sep cages where they can see each other and try every so often...

My rabbits (which are female and male) are in the same cage together. When my male stood by my female, she made a squeaky sound. What does this mean?
My female rabbit does the same thing. I think it means she doesnt want to be bothered. When she was pregnant i asked te vet and she said she was warning my male not to touch her cuz she didnt want to be touched. I had this other female once who used to chase after this toy i would pull around and make the noise and as soon as i would let her have it she would hump it. Its got to be some sort of...

I have a female Mini Rex who is pulling fur (and skin) just above her hind leg. She cannot be pregnant! My male lop is fixed. However, whether or she's pregnant is not my biggest concern. What is she doing? What can I do to aid her
I would check the area to see if there is skin irritation. Sometimes they get mites in there fur if they are outside hop through grass. How long ago did ur male get fixed? I got my male fixed and the vet failed to mention to me that it take s 6 weeks for sperm to die in the sac or tubes so my rabbits got together which was an accident and she had babies. But definatly check the fur aNd skin....

We just brought home a male bunny. Of course he likes our female. She however wants to chew him up. The first encounter I had to pull him from her jaws. Now we have to keep them seperate. Will neutering and spaying help, so they may get along?
I think its really good your spaying and neutering your bunnies. I ll cross my fingers for you that they get along better after.I thnk its all in the way you introduce them. SO even ater the surgeries, try introducing them outside where they both have never been or somewhere in the house they havent been so it is both foreign to them. Thats usually the best way to introduce rabbits. PLus...

What does it mean when a rabbit thumps his/her name? (my bunny was doing this.)
no lol it means he is trying to warn you or whoever that he sense danger or somethign that everyone needs to be aware of. In the wild. rabbits thumps when they sense danger to the other rabbits so they run and hide in their holes for safety. also, a rabbit thumps sometimes when they are angry or dont want to be bothered. Hope this helps.

Has anyone ever come across gay rabbits? I have a pair. They are obviously in love and I have just put them together in the same pen. They cuddle each other and take it in turns to 'jump on top' as it were. Is it ok to house them together?
if "gay" is what u would like to call it- then o......k. Rabbits like to be with other rabbits and i thk u should make sure they are the same sex. If they are then make sure they are neutered and fixed cuase if theu arent then one day tthey could turn on each other because of territory reason. If they are just regular good old buddies, then the huping id to show who is boss.

Question about rabbit body language: Is there any special meaning when a rabbit keeps one ear up and the other laid back down on its back?
Are there any body language things you know about them that mean something?
It jst means that the rabbit is zoning in on a particular area infront of her and listenning for danger or whats going on. Rabbits see from side to side so when they appear to be facing you- its not really u they are looking at. So when they put their ear forward its kind of like them listenning to what coulc be infront of them down the hall or soething ike that. Rabbits have really really good...

AWWWWWW!!! Hahaha, yes I tried the newspaper thing with my 2 bunchkins and they loved to eat it. I thnk it was something for them to do because rabbits love to chew paper and wood. If they are all in one cage i would swicth to a towel so all u have to do is wash it since they are already litter trained. I m not quite sure how bad eating newspaper is for them but i wouldnt let them cosume too...

I have 2 rabbits who adore each other, but im looking to take another one on but last time i did this my male rabbit attacked me because of the smell. I would keep the other rabbit in another cage but how can i prevent my rabbit from attacking me again?
I d go with answer number one if I were you. I did the same thing, and i got my male fixed and he turned into the sweetest guy ever. He has no aggression and he used to be. Neutering them will make things go a lot smoother and its healthier for ur bunnies. Goodluck!

I have a male rabbit that is about 5-6 months old, i just got another male, possibly 2-3 months of age. I am going to have them both altered soon, can they ever get along? I was told the new one was a female, oops. i don't want to give him back.
I believe getting ur bunnies fixed is the best thing for them. I cannot stress enough how IMPORTANT it is to get ur bunnies neutered for they will not have a chance at all getting along or being friends if u dont. Males, when sexually mature which is around 5-6, become aggressive, especially with other male bunnies, it is in their nature to fight to the death for territory and the female...

Because in the bunny world, ur bunny either thinks, or is preparing to be expecting babies and is making a home. It is in a rabbits nature to next.My bunny used to do it all the time. My friend has been breeding lion head rabbits and had three or four litters no problem. but this time the mother destroyed the nest with five kitts. The mother now is very unsettled, does anyone know how this happens
Clearly the bunny is upset and doesnt want to have any more litters, i suggest letting her live a peaceful life as a companion rabbits intesad of using her as some sort of tool. Ask ur friend how she would feel if she was forced to give birth three or four times to twins and triplets and have them taken away from her. Shed probably go insane too. Stop breeding the poor little thing.

Hahaha my bunnies did the same thing! What is happenning here is that your female bunny wants to make sure your male bunny knows that she is the boss when they are together. Do Dwarf hotots bite? I`m afraid my rabbit will bite me and it will hurt.
All bunnies have difference personalities. Some rabbits are more docile than others but that doesnt change the fact that all animlas have the potentential to bite. But ur bunny most likely wont go A-Wall on u and...

I have had bunnies that make all sorts of noises. I had one bunny make this sqeaky chair noise when i used to drga this little platapus beanie baby and she would chase it and when she got a hold of it she would hump it! so it all depends on the nature of ur bunnies body language and situation u r in. My pet rabbit keeps sliding her teeth on the cage wires. And she keeps biting her hand and her nails. Whats wrong?
Actually rabbits are not rodents. They are close but they are actually called LAGOMORPHS. They are actually closely related to the horse because their internal organs are very similar. It is true that their teeth never stop growing and that is why they love to chew on things. My bunny chews on her cage like urs is doing because she wants out. Maybe urs is too? or maybe she has an itch in her...

Ahhh there is nothing like a bit of sibling rivalry(sp?) Unfortunatly my friend...its more than that. Hormones have come into effect! It seems to me that your bunnies need a good fixing! The rabbit that is attacking you and being aggressive is probably a female and is going through the "changes" where her hormones are raging and she/he it could be either- feels they need to defend...

My rabbit keeps on humping my arm and it's getting a bit annoying. When I don't let him, he bites me! What do you think I should do?
AHAHA that is too funny! sounds little fluffy cakes needs to be fixed or get laid. Pick one. Spaying or neutering is better because it will get rid of all those hormones that frustrate a bunny and also easier to litter train and eliminate the risk of uterine cancer or tumors and cancer. Judging by ur bunnies body language- i dont thnk u have anything to worry about. my bunnies tend to to do that and so does my gunea pig- especially after i have had a tasty treat for them in myh hands. why does it matter if they are herd animals or not? Fact is- they like being with other rabbits. they are like a pack of dogs. U basically are saying the same thing i JUST said. Umm thats exactly what i just said. Rabbits can be kept together as long as they are fixed. rabbits live happier healthier lives if there are more than one of them. We have four rabbits; one pair, their adult male offspring, and a 3 week old. The adults have recently started mounting one another while pulling fur from the back of the other's neck. Why?
ok. Rabbits ARE herd animals. they are happy with other rabits. BUT it is definatly wise to get them all neutered so no one can mate with the mother. Also ficxing ur rabbits will ensure that noobdy gets aggressive and attacks or kills one another. Males if not neutered will fight and if u put them with the mother they will try to mate with her and lets face it- thats wrong and biologically...

Answer to:
My rabbit doesn't like to chew, except for the odd nibble of carpet and drapes. How can I get her interested in wooden chew toys?
you can buy ur rabbits chew stuff that is scented and will taste good. My bunny has a salt lick. Try that. It might entice her. In order to make sure she is filing down her teeth( because rabbits teeth grow continously, which is why they chew in the first place) u could always make sure her pellets are big enough to the job for her.i had a rabbit who wasnt intersested in chewing either and she...
Answer to:
Im new to this bunni thing and i mixed a doe and a buck and they did there thing many times.and now she is scratching the corners of the cage and my carpet and annoying us does it mean shes nesting or just crazy and should i remove the buck now or later
It depends on how old ur bunnies are. Sometimes bunnies will hump each other to prove who is the boss in the pack. But most likely ur bunni is trying to nest and burrow for her "upcoming family" The best thing to do is to let them be together until she gives birth and then remove the male and keep him removed until the babies are old enough. You should definatly talk to a rabbit savvy...

I allowed my daughters pal to bring her dwarf bunny male 1 yr to visit our bunny female mid-size1.5yrs. they seemed to attempt to mate....hillarious...but does it matter that the rabbits aren't the same breed should our little hussy find herself expecting
Ahhh yes...well just to let u know- yes ur rabbit is probably expecting. my 5 month mated with my three year old male. So make sure she has plenty of food and a lot of hay and something for to nest in. a large shoebox will do just fine. Rabbit generally take three weeks to give birth to the little bundles of joy. Goodluck and congrats on the soon to be new parents!!!

Are rabbits afraid of heights?
I've learned that bunnies like to climb and stuff- they just dont like being forced. Some bunnies that arent used to being picked up- like my rescue bunny Thumper- doesnt like to be held high- he would rather be cuddled on the floor. My other rabbit loved to jump up on the computer desk and flop out behind the screen.
Answer to:
My rabbit bangs really loudly at night and keeps me awake. Is this normal, or is my rabbit ill?
in the wild when a rabbit thumps it is because they are trying to warn the others that there is danger ahead and to run back into the rabbit holes. My bunnies do it for attention or because they are mad at me or think that my dog is coming up the stairs.

Answer to:
My roomamtes rabbit has a habit of knocking over it's food bowl when they feed it and eat off the floor of the cage, is this natural behaviour?
My bunny used to do the same thing so i went out and bought a heavy dish like a dog dish so he couldnt know it over and gave him toys. FOr the wires there are these plastic things you can put on or u can soap them with ivory soap. Its not toxic for rabbits and they dont like the taste. It worked for my bunnies but i like the plastic cording better because u dont have to sit there and watch...

What kind of a stupid breeder are you? Don't you know there are a ton of oprphaned bunnies in need of a good home? Why dont u go figure something else out to make a buck instead of breeding poor rabbits. You are truely disgusting if you do and its WRONG. your bunnies will genetic problems if you do. Clearly you have no idea what you are doing.
Answer to:
I just got a new rabbit and now he is starting to bite my pants and my slippers.he has also bite my kids on the hand. What can i do to stop this?
The scratching and biting of pants are for attention probably. and the biting may either be terroritorial if you are taking the rabbit out of the cage. My one rabbit used to do that when i first got her. Just let her come out on her own. give the bunny a treat or something to knaw on like theothers said. If it is just bad behaviour get a squirt bottle and everytime ur rabbit bites out of anger...

How common is it for a rabbit to run really fast inside the house and then emergency brake when about to collide into the skirting board?
Congatulations! you have a happy bunny! WHat your rabbit is dispaying is called the "Bunny 500" in bunny terms. Rabbits that are excited and happy will do this sometimes, my rabbits like to race from one room to another at very high speeds. ITs just a form of play. then they will stop- sit for a second and catch their breath and then binky and start all over again. its just a wya of...

Can my female rabbit get pregnant at three months old?
good cause i dont want her to be.
Answer to:
Our rabbit is nearly 6 months old (male) and has started spraying my daughter every time she goes near him. why is he doing this and is there any way of stopping him?
ur rabbit is marking his territory and wants a mate. If you get him fixed then he will not do this anymore. also by getting him fixed there will be no horomones to get in the way and have him all frustrated and it will make it a lot easier to litter train him. Goodluck!
Answer to:
I just found out that my Female rabbit is pregnant, do I need to put the Male in another cage?
Yes you need to put the male in another cage. It would prolly be best to tget the male neutered so this cannot happen anymore because there are tons of orphaned bunnies that dont have a home and thousands of rabbits have to be put to sleep because a home cannot be found for them. Its not that expensive to get a male neautered and it wil be for the best. in the mean time- keep the bunnies...

Well,,, following the many advices from experts. I bought a new budgie the day my old one died and it was a little awkward at first and they were freaked out a little but did not fight. i would definatly suggest getting two cages and puttng thm side by side. It gives the budgies more things to do by exploring and what not. and everyone is happier. Thanks for all the advice.

My gf went away this weekend for the first time and our bunny follows me everywhere and jumps up on me nudges me to pet her then licks me like crazy then gives me little bites, jumps down then up and we do it all over again, What's up with this behavior?
Lol, your bunny loves you and just wants to show u affection. The licking then nipping is just the way rabbits groom each other- they just think that they are doing you a favour by doing a "thourough" job. They dont mean any harm by this i had a bunny who used to do it all the time it just meant she thought she was getting the places that are hard for you to get. So dont worry about...

I just got a young buck and my older doe likes to attack him but when I keep her still he just puts his face right up against hers and doesn't move. What does this mean?
Your female might feel like she has to protect her territory if you didnt introduce them properly. Females are territorial especially if they arent spayed. The best thing to do is to take them to neutral territory- say a part of the house where neither have been and introduce them there. Ur male is prolly asking for acecptence from the female. If she fights then its not a good idea to leave...

How can I get my rabbit to really trust me?
Thats a horrible answer to give! When I first brought my bunny home after letting her settle in, I openned the cage door for the first time and just sat in the middle of the floor and watched her. When your rabbit comes up to you to see what your all about- offer ur hand and let ur buns have a sniff. Always be calm and relaxed and offer some sort of treat like a carrot or kale leaf. Eventually...

My three baby rabbits have sores and white fungus on their feet. What is this, and how we can help them?
Depending on what kind of cage ur bunnys are living in. If ur bunnys are in a wire cage with no soft bedding with prolly be the cause of the problem but if not u should definatly take them to a vet. could be a bacterial desease going around in the cage kind of like warts with humans. Definatly make a vet appointment with a vet that specializes in rabbits.

When your dog is behaving like this it means exactly what you say it means- she is not feeling well. Let your dog have some space to herself and let her relax if she is not feeling or acting any better by tomorrow take her to the vet. Hope this helps and ur pooch feels better!

Answer to:
My Netherland dwarf lion head is clicking his teeth and the right side of his face seems to be permanently wet. The vet doesn't know what's wrong. What could this be?
Your rabbits mouth is in pain. You need to take him or her to a vet right away. My rabbit was just put to sleep because of a molluculated tooth that causes abcesses and it spread all over her face and behind her eye and it was not treatable./ If your rabbit has any drooling or clicking- immediatly take him to a vet to be treated.

I know rabbits can live outside, but I'm afraid they will die of the cold. How much cold can they handle and how can I insulate the hutch?
How would u feel if you were forced to sit in a cage with fur wen it was was really hot out? you prolly woldnt like to be out in the freezing cold either. I would never put my rabbit outside. Other animals can come a knocking to harass your bunny at night and scare them.
