Answer to:
Why do people like to write storys?
I don't always "like" writing stories. Sometimes I HAVE to write a story. For me, it's just something I need to do. I need to create. Writing people down on a page, giving them love and hate and boredom is as close to the act of creation as I get, in an artistic sense.

Do you think people become gay due to nurture, nature, a combinatin of the two or a conscious decision? Why do you think that?
Nature.
I was gay before I knew what sexuality was about. As early back as I can remember, I was attracted to the male of the species.
I wanted to marry my invisible friend, who was a male nudist :P
I had crushes on my older brother's friends... Though I don't remember it, I am said to have told one rather shocked 16-year old that I wanted to marry him when I was about 3.

Answer to:
Has your partner arrived to stay and forgotten their tooth brush ... have you shared your tooth brush? ... details please?
I have never shared my toothbrush with a partner... I always have extra tooth brushes in a drawer. However, I have shared much worse with all my partners. If I have had sex with my partner, why would using his/her toothbrush be that big of a deal?
Answer to:
What is the best substitute for toothbrush?
Sugar-free chewing gum is good substitute for a toothbrush during the day.
Answer to:
Do you keep a manual toothbrush in your car or other place and brush when convenient?
I do! With tooth paste and travel size mouth wash.
I always carry sugar-free gum with me too, so I can at least get some chewing action going on, if something keeps me from being able to brush.

It's only a bad thing if someone involved doesn't want it to happen.... And in that case, they should just exit the situation and leave the frisky people to be frisky.

There is this Adirondack artist friend named Bill, 61 years old, who has a woman about 30 years old spending the night frequently, and my friend sees her black car. She says she shares his bed, he says he wants to adopt her as a daughter. Why the lies
Possibly because one of them, or both, is uncomfortable with people asking personal questions?
Many people would see the relationship as non-traditional, just because of the age difference. And the man may think it would look more "proper" for a man his age to adopt a 30-year-old, instead of marrying her.
All the same, the reason behind their differing stories is personal to...

You have to be the one to answer that. Has he ever given you reason to worry? Are you insecure in the relationship, or just in general? If he's in rehab, he shouldn't be looking to "hook up." In fact, if he's in-house, he shouldn't have the opportunity to "hook up."
If he IS the reason you worry, maybe you should ask yourself if the relationship is...

At fourteen, a stiff breeze could turn me on... You're being bombarded by hormones, you're most likely just beginning to notice things terms of their sexual nature. You don't have to classify yourself in any way at this time, if you're not sure.
Could be you're attracted to guys. But, it could also just be an arousal to something that signifies sex to you.

Answer to:
Do you think it's easier to be lesbian than gay?
The only thing I can see "easier" about being a lesbian, rather than a gay man, is the fact that many heterosexual men fantasize about woman-on-woman sex. That could possibly remove one aspect of discrimination they might encounter.
One could also counter than many straight women like to have gay companions, so that would negate the difference.

People are attracted to people they are attracted to. You can no-more make yourself straight, than a straight person can make themselves gay. You may be able to have sex with the opposite sex, but that wouldn't change who you are attracted to.
However, you can come to accept your sexuality and yourself. You can decide if you are going to be a sexual person or not. You can decide if...

It shouldn't be "harder" to tell that you are lovers. It will probably introduce you to a new type of discrimination.

I think it's always possible for someone to find a group of people that are looking for an easy answer, an excuse for their actions that comes along with "forgiveness," and a need to feel superior to others because they have found the "way."
There's always an audience, if the person is fanatic enough in their presentation of the materials.

What would you do if you told your bf that you couldnt deal with his aggressive cat anymore, and asked him to get rid of it or you would move out,and he told you that he didnt know what to say and/or that it was hard to choose?
I would ask myself what right I have to tell another person to get rid of his/her pet. Did he have the cat prior to you? You put a blanket statement down: Do this or else. If he gets rid of the cat, he will most likely resent it. If he doesn't, you will resent him.

The first thing I'd do is sit BOTH boys down for a crash course in the risks of sexually transmitted diseases... There would be pictures of infected organs, rashes, scabs and warts. Can you recommend a book that you absolutely loved, and think everyone should read? I'm looking for fiction, or at least very entertaining books. Please don't suggest the bible- I've already read that.
How about the "Popul Vu?" It's considered to be the Mayan bible. It's filled with great imagery, an entertaining creation story, and a look at the belief system that drove a group from the Americas.
but, fiction.... hmmmm.. two fun reads are:
"The Big Over Easy, A Nursery Crime" &
"The Fourth Bear, A Nursery Crime," both written by Jasper...

What great example of human generosity have you experienced? How did you react?
One simple, and great example of generosity I come across is someone stopping to allow me, or others, into traffic. I've also had people ask me to go ahead of them at the grocery store, when I've had one item, and they were purchasing a cartful of staples.
In both examples, it makes me more aware of the little things that make life easier/less frustrating, and I tend to pass along...

How do I get started as a writer?
I agree with Ben... You have to write to be a writer.
Now, for my angle on it: Don't get too hung up with being perfect the first time. Get the words on the paper/screen. So many people with real talent get bogged down in trying to make a sentence/paragraph/single page of prose/chapter perfect, that they lose interest or become frustrated before they actually achieve their goal of...

Does the paste on prepasted wallpaper have a shelf life? My paper is 10 - 12 years old and I'd like to know if I can use it as prepasted or should I use a wallpaper adhesive?
If the paper has been dry, you might be able to reactivate the glue, when you submerge it into water. You might think about cutting a ten-inch strip off of one of the rolls, follow the directions as if you were preparing a full-sized piece of paper. Once you've let the paper sit in water, backed the paper and let it stand for 5 minutes, you should be able to tell if the glue is viable.

I have a white jersey style shirt made out of polyester. The shirt has a stain, probably ketchup or something, on it. I've tried all types of cleaning products, like spray on stain removers and bleach, but they didn't work. Any suggestions to remove it?
I have had a lot of luck by soaking dried stains with hydrogen peroxide. I've also had luck with an indelible pen mark that somehow dried, by saturating the fabric with foaming shaving cream, rinsing, and then repeating.
Good Luck!

I stained one set of my new mahogany garage doors without sanding them, and the result is uneven and ugly. I sanded the second set and they are beautiful. Can I sand the first set and restain them? If not, can I salvage them?
Sure, you can sand the doors down, and start over. You might have to completely sand down to bare wood. You would want to re-stain the first door as soon as possible, as you don't want the stain on the second door to fade from the sun and/or weather, and still wind up looking different from the other.
Answer to:
Is milk more fattening heated up?
No. You do not change the fat content or caloric content by applying heat to milk. It all boils down *no pun intended* to the amount of milk you drink. If you are worried about the calories, try a 2 percent, 1 percent or fat-free milk.

A great place to start is by visiting your local Junior or Community College. Make an appointment with an advisor, and discuss what you'd like to do. Also get the dates for entrance exams. Well, I'd say you need to ask yourself a couple questions. Do you have a history of dating people that aren't trustworthy? If the answer to that question is yes, you might be transferring the deeds of others onto your boyfriend.
The next question, which is harder to ask, is to ask yourself if your boyfriend gives you reasons to not trust him? Does he disappear for hours/days on...

It IS possible to add porous elements that could lead to contaminated water safely, if you completely seal said element with an aquarium grade, silicon based sealant. How to repair drywall damaged by removing wallpaper?
One option you have is repapering the walls with a heavy textured wallpaper. These come in white, so they're paintable. Usually, you can find this in textures that mimic grass papers, or textured sheetrock.

Is it better to get a satin finish or semi gloss finish on Hardwood flooring ? We just installed hardwood floors and has a satin finish. I don't particularly like it. I would like some shine. Should I change to semi gloss?
In my opinion, it really depends on the amount of traffic on the floors, and what you're looking for. How many coats of finish are on the floors?
I've found that a glossy finish tends to show more of the day to day scratches and imperfections in the wood than a satin.
That said, I've also found that a glossy finish is stronger and lasts longer than a less glossy...

Will a treadmil cause damage to ceramic floor tile? Will the black rubber mat used under the treadmill stain the ceramic tile? If so, what would be a good alternative? Thank you.
It really could depend on the type of tile you have. A glazed tile (or a tile with a good seal) shouldn't stain. If you do get marks, they should be fairly easy to remove, though might take some elbow grease.
Now, if you have an unsealed terra-cotta (or any unsealed porous tile for that matter) it is very possible to get staining. If this is the type of tile you have, you should...

Personally, it would give me more tax breaks (if it were federally recognized). It would give me protection, if my "in-laws" decided to contest my partner's will. I would ensure I have the right to make decisions for my partner, if he were unable to make them for himself.

Why does California not get much rain..being right by the ocean you would think they would get alot.
Mainly because our wet weather patterns happen because of wet systems that come from across the Pacific. Those systems usually only happen between November and March, or there about. They are also controlled by the temperature of the ocean water.
When our weather comes from the east, we heat up a lot, as much of the interior of California is desert.
We do get a lot of fog on the...

Have you dried the jeans yet? If not, use some Shout (or your preferred stain remover) and do a prewash, once you start washing.
I, personally, have never been able to get out a color, once it has been set by the dryer. I suppose I'd give it a try, though. If worse comes to worse, could you get a bottle of Rit dye, and just re-dye your jeans? That will usually make stains less...

If a contractor made a mistake measuring your home for a roof repair (causing him to have to purchase more materials to finish the job) and asks if you would split the additional cost (but you're not obligated to, since it was his fault), would you?
A good rule of thumb, always use contractors that give you a written estimate. If they have to add additional materials because of unforeseen damage, they will either give you a completely new contract or amend the original in writing. I expect a contractor to be able to figure these things out, as it IS his lively-hood.
If he makes a miscalculation, he should be able to return the...
