Is there a way to fix and clean PS2 game discs without needing to buy a special kit?

I'd go with the classic wiping on your shirt, but thats mainly to get junk/fingerprints off. Not to get rid of scratches.

Mario (NES) hands down is the best classic game, besides Goldeneye (N64). If you can call 64 games classics that is.
