For casual use (parties, birthday, vacations, etc) is true that film cameras are going to be obsolete soon. In fact, they may be obsolete now. New digital cameras have advanced a lot and now they do not suffer from common past problems that film cameras did not have (e.g. shutter lag, bad quality at high ISO ratings).

That depends on many factors, specially your swing speed, which will determine the best combination of loft angle, shaft flexibility, etc.
The only way to know is to make your driver custom fitted. As a matter of fact, if you buy a new club from a well known brand it is silly not to custom fit. That is the only way to know which driver (or other club) is best for you.
