Well, some people decide because of where they live. Others decide because it's a family tradition to be a Yankee fan or a Mets fan. When I was growing up, my dad was more of a Mets fan. I watched the games with him--I was a Rusty Staub fan.

Should Major League Baseball keep banned players from playing in the minor leagues?
Well, I can see both sides to this argument. First, if they are banned for whatever reason, they should NOT participate in the sport. It's their punishment.
However, these banned players eventually will return and if they have not been practicing or staying in form by playing in the minors, they might not even be worth bringing back.

Answer to:
Does the Home Run Derby spoil a player's swing?
I think it does because they are swinging for home runs and not just to advance the runner. In regular games, they don't always swing to hit one out of the park. I'm sure after a while, their arms get tired, shoulders hurt, etc.
That is why lots of HR hitters don't participate in this competition.

Why do so many Americans distrust each other?
I don't know about you, but I don't just trust anyone. Trust is earned and takes time to develop. Also, when one has trusted and it's broken, it's hard to trust openly again.
And is this just with Americans? I think not.

I think it develops over time. People who get heartbroken go from feeling rejected to denial, to becoming a cynic, to being jaded, to becoming indeferent...when they just don't care anymore. That happens enough times, not only with being in love--just trusting the wrong people can create this cycle.

There's a co-worker that is very negative and bordering on depressed. I don't have a lot of contact with her, but one time I rode the elevator with her. By the time I got to my floor, I felt she had sucked the life out of me!!! And not in a good way! hahahaha!

Ladies, who would be more successful in romancing you, a man who connects with you on an emotional level or a man with a large "manhood"?
Without a doubt it would have to be a man who connects with me on an emotional level. Having a large manhood doesn't necessarily guarantee great sex. Besides...relationships are not only based on the sexual aspect--at least not for me. It's a very important part, but not the most important.

He told me, "honestly, I don't want to spend any of my time away from you. Every hour with you is precious to me."

Is it okay/normal to laugh at ethnic jokes about your own people?
When other Puerto Ricans tell me jokes about Puerto Ricans, most of the time I find them humorous. I know our stereotypes and/or customs. When others tell the jokes, I guess, it depends on their intentions. Some use them as ways to perpetuate the negative stereotypes. Others want to offend me. Others just know I'm a wiseass and would laugh at myself. I hope that answered your question.

I didn't make this one up, but it's sure scary! Necrophagia was one of the first death metal bands, assembled in 1983. Their name derives from the act of cannibalizing a corpse. The word derives from the two Greek words nekron (corpse) and phagein (to eat).

When and how did the phrase 'Jumping the shark' originate?
From an episode of Happy Days--when Fonzie was water skiing. He jumps over a shark. The phrase now means going off course. I remember watching a soap opera and all of a sudden one of the characters was abducted by aliens. That's an example of jumping the shark.

If people are just blatantly trying to accumulate points, I usually don't answer those questions.

Back when telephones were first used, what did people say when they answered the phone?
The word hello, as used today, didn't really exist back in the 19th century. Halloo was used to hail someone from a distance -- as in "Halloo! You up there on the roof!" -- or to incite hounds to chase, but it was not used as a greeting. Thanks to the discovery of a letter buried for more than a hundred years in AT&T's archives, we now believe that the word originated...

Why do so many women let themselves go after they get married? They just get fat. Why? Please don't give bearing children as excuse there are many who have babies but they are not fat.
So basically your problem is with women getting fat--not letting themselves go by not shaving their legs anymore; not plucking that weird hair that grows from their chin; not getting manicures or pedicures; not dressing nice or using perfume--just getting fat.
Hmmm...obviously, it's because they sit around all day, watching soap operas and pigging out on ice cream, cake, pizza, and fast...

Does anyone believe that there can actually be happiness in a relationship all the time? No fighting, arguing or ill words ever?
I think it's healthy to disagree at times. One cannot become a robot and not express one's feelings in order to keep the peace. Eventually those feelings will be let loose, and by then, the resentment is too great to fix.
Even when I argue with my bf, I am completely in love with him. I may not be happy at the moment, but my happiness doesn't disappear with one argument.
