My teenage daughter wants to confess to a crime and go to prison. She has insisted for 6 months now that this is what she wants. Advice? If she wants to change her life, and wishes to start with a clean slate, that might be a good idea. But generally people only do that when the police know about them and have been looking for them. If she's just trying to escape from life, there are better options. Perhaps she can get into the forest service or work at a day camp. There's a place in life for everyone, if they just look for it.
