When you see someone with a bumper sticker (for a candidate who lost, or who one but has done a miserable job) on their car, do you snicker? No. I just wonder why they don't remove it. Same goes for people who keep the signs up in their yard for weeks after their candidate lost.

I received a letter from my attorney saying I understand your insured may only have minimum bodily injury liabiality policy. What doe's it mean? That is the absolute minimum required by law in the state I live in, so that is being pointed out. It also means that if you have an accident the most that would be paid out to one injured person is $25,000. The most that would be paid to two or more injured people would be $50,000. You should probably increase those limits of liability :)

I only worked part time and that was the arrangement my husband and I had. Soooo, in order for me to be able to keep that job and maintain my standard of living. . .he had to pay up :) I ended up working full time, but my ex-husband didn't bother to go back to court to have the alimony reduced. Yay!

In my case, a few people mentioned that I would make a good one to the staff. Rich offered me a chance to be a CL and I took it. Would you be thankful if your dog was lost and someone found it? I found 3 dogs yesterday, pulled them from the road and searched for the owner. Finally, I located her. I thought I was a hero. She showed up, didn't even say thank-you, and left... Some people just should not own pets. I've done this before and I am amazed at how indifferent some of the owners are. I mean their dog was in the middle of a busy road, somebody stops and brings their pet home, and all they do is mumble a thanks and slam the door in your face. Grrrr.

I find I rarely notice the "category" a question is posted under when I answer. I just don't register that light orange writing over the question. Shouldn't AB use another, bolder colour. Am I the only one who has this problem? I always notice the category, but that's just me. I think that would be a very good idea. A consensus of well meaning folks is no substitute for trained medical advice, and while they're waiting for an answer, the animal suffers. Do you Agree? Does asking someone, as an answer or comment, when they will "stop being a prick" qualify one for the penalty box? I would give the person a warning if they had a fairly good reputation and no other PB record. I really dislike questions like this though. If you have an issue with another ABer, please use the feedback link or contact a CL. Asking a question about it just creates drama and conflict.

Do you have any ideas as to unconventional yet inexpensive curtain rods? This sounds ridiculous, but it really worked well. Pipes. Yes plastic pipes painted black with decorative caps put on the end. There are 3 windows all in a row and it takes up an entire wall, so instead of doing an individual rod for each one, a long pipe was run across the top in some nice brackets and each of the panel arranged on that. Looks very custom and hardly cost a thing.

I'm getting my first car, it'll have to be used and my parents want one that runs well, gets good gas mileage, and is safe. I'd love to get an SUV or truck, just something that'll fit my friends and my stuff. What's a good car with those specifications? Try a Scion xB (wagon). I am on my second one and I love it. It's roomy, gets about 31-34 MPG, and is for all intents and purposes a Toyota. Toyota is tops in reliability. You can pick a used on up fairly cheap. My credit union put a block on my ATM/debit card because they thought they saw some odd activity. I went to get gas and that was the only card I had with me and no cash. Do you refrain from answering, edit your answer or just touch base with something noncommittal just to support your friend? Answer honestly. Honesty does not have to be brutal. For example, people who post statements instead of questions. I will remind them that AB is a Q&A site, so best to stick to the format. Whats the best makeup to use? Best is a subjective term. The best makeup for anyone is what works best for them in terms of texture, available colors, and what type of look they want to achieve. It also has to work well with your skin type and any sensitivities you have to ingredients.
