Why are people in the government so corrupt? Corporations spend huge sums of money to help get the person elected or hired. Once they are in office, the corporations pull the strings in their favor. So the people with money decide what happens in this country. And what do they decide? "I want more money for myself, and who cares about people who aren't rich like me."
