REVISED 9-18-08: You may consider this a little long, but please read this through.
PLEASE BELIEVE ME: If I didn't think this was necessary, I wouldn't take the time to write it or post it.
In advance, I thank you VERY, VERY much!

When there is any kind of gain, I will disclose that.

***********Please excuse me. I don't mean to hurt or insult anyone.
We're here to share information and learn. I simply want my answers to be the most helpful, most informative and the best.

When anyone isn't happy with the way I conclude my answers here's a suggestion:
Instead of starting to read the answer, glance at the end of that answer; if you see "VTY," or "Very Truly Yours," it's probably my answer. You can read the answer or you can ignore what I wrote and move on to other answers.

Why am I the only [or one of the very few] person who posts his real name?
I truly believe the Q should be asked: "Why doesn't everyone use his or her real last name?"

The reasons I use my real last name:
I do it for those who recognize our family's name. This way
A) There isn't any doubt,
B) There isn't any "play on words".
OR
C) No one has to even think, "Gee, I wonder what he means by that."
I don't have anything to hide. I do it just in case someone from my past recognizes my last name and decides to get in touch with me.

When a new reader of my answers sees the answer I wrote, that person could have doubts. On many occasions others "vouched for me" and the answers I wrote! THAT makes me feel excellent!

I want folks to know the answers I write are the absolute truth or "gospel" from my perspective - according to the way that person wrote his or her Q AT THAT TIME.

If my answer is a guess, I let the asker and everyone reading that answer, know it is a guess.

I THINK I'm one of the very few - if not the only person - who consistently mentions "Sources". When folks read my answers, I want to prove my credibility. I want everyone to know I'm not "a bunch of hot air" or "full of *(%$#".
Some folks say they went to the "School of Hard Knocks" or "the College of Hard Knocks". I choose to use "THE University of Hard Knocks". I did enough tasks and had enough different positions I truly believe I qualify to go to "THE University of Hard Knocks".
IF everyone went to the University of Hard Knocks, why doesn't everyone use that as a source? In fact, (((thinking and writing aloud))) Why doesn't everyone use "Sources"?

Until and unless the way I choose to do things can be improved, I'll continue answering and concluding Qs the way I always did.

If you have something you want to mention about the way I do things, please post a "Comment" and I'll respond. I don't mind the debate. ************

Thanks Very Much for taking the time to read this additional *********** information.

I AM NOT a "point fairy"!
Do you believe in awarding some extra points to your friends and those you took a liking to? I DO! I'm going through my "Friends" list.

BTW, when I awarded points, they were awarded from the most recent 20 or 23 answers you posted! The ones with the lowest number and the most recent date for those answers.

Before you are told to move on to another person, I THINK 25 is the maximum number AB will allow. That restriction is for one week.

Want to know how to do it? No problem! Here's HOW I awarded many of those extra points you may have received:

1] Click on your avatar.

2] Go to your "Friends" tab.

3] Find the friend you want to award some points to.
Click on that person's name below the avatar.

4] After that person's Home page is displayed, on the mid-left-hand side, that little grid with the Q&A break down will appear.

5A] You get "more bang for the buck" [you'll be able to award more points] awarding points for that person's Answers. Click on the underlined number to the right of "Answers" and the 2nd line below "Subs".

5B] If you want to award points to that person's Qs, click on the underlined number to the right of "Questions" and the line directly below "Subs".

6] When the Answers or Qs are displayed:
For the Answers: Click on the bottom of that particular numbered Q.
The answer that person typed for that Q will automatically be displayed.
Award the points.

For the Questions: Click on the top or that particular numbered Q.
The Q that person asked will automatically be displayed.
Award the points.

BIG TIP: I found this to be very helpful:
IF you want to award points for additional answers or Qs, here's what I do:
I start with a particular numbered Answer or Q.
As that particular opens I speak the number of the following Answer or Q.
I award the points.
I close that window.
THEN I move to the one I spike and repeat the procedure..

I HOPE the information helps.
