About me:	Just a regular guy wishing I lived in a better world and trying to do something about it. Ok, so let's play this out... Am I a liberal or a progressive? I abhore abortion. Abortion should be legal, but rare. We need to do more to encourage adoption. All the effort to outlaw abortion, but a fraction of the effort to encourage adoption. Doesn't make sense to me. I believe access to health care is a basic, fundamental, human right that shouldn't be dependent on your ability or inability to pay. Our elitist society rations health care based on socioeconomic status and that's immoral. Our system is grossly inefficient and the reality is that from a cost perspective, we already pay enough to support universal single payer health care many times over. I think public education should be free, including a college education. We have all this money for the military (and I'm part of it) yet we can't send our own kids to college. We worry about losing our competitive edge in the world, yet we don't invest in our own education. I'm not saying everyone should get a free ride to the Ivy League school of their choice, but public university should be funded from taxes. I could go on and on, but the reality is these are progressive ideas, not liberal and definitely not conservative. The problem with conservatives is that they don't understand or believe that government can do good things for people. It's sad really. So, what's the difference between a liberal and a progressive? Progressives bite back! Oh yeah, I'm a paid up member of PETA too. And I do in fact hug trees. I love hugs and I love trees, so why not. One more thing...I love to positroll. They're my points, they don't cost me anything, and I can do what I want. Welcome to America. Ok, I'm also a "militant" Mac user. I love all things Apple...best fruit known to mankind. Bill Gates epitomizes evil, but I give him props because he came pretty damn close to world domination. One more thing. I hate racism and stupidity. I'm married to a beautiful Asian woman. My two daughters are half black. My step father is black. My great grandmother was half Native American. So, I'm a mutt of a "white" guy and I'm proud of it. And oh, by the way, I'm not really white. Kind of like a creamy color, maybe a little brownish, hell I don't know, but I'm not white. Don't hate, it's stupid.
