Answer to:
What are blueprints, and why are they blue?
In brief, blueprints are the architectural plans or drawings, usually of houses but also used for buildings as well.
They are also usually used as white lines on a blue background, though I have seem them the other way around, and even with black lines on a white background.
EDIT: Also, this site might help, but it was the best I could find. http://www.psrc.usm.edu/macrog/work/blue.htm

Answer to:
Does your right to remain silent mean that you don't ever have to respond to a police officer's question?
Yes. The 5th amendment protects the rights to self-incrimination, and the right to remain silent (one of the three rights demonstrated through the Miranda Rights [the others being the right to an attorney and the right to have an attorney provided if you cannot afford one] in the case of Miranda v. Arizona [1966]). This also includes the fact that you are allowed to "ignore" a police...

What is RFID?
RFID, Radio Frequency IDentification, is a technology that uses tiny computer chips smaller than a grain of sand to track items at a distance. RFID "spy chips" have been hidden in the packaging of Gillette razor products and in other products you might buy at a local Wal-Mart, Target, or Tesco - and they are already being used to spy on people.

Can all "Freecell" games end successfully?
Nope.
If you play MS Freecell, and go to "choose game" and enter -1 or -2, you will get two unwinnable games. If you look at the patterns of the cards, you'll see why.

Answer to:
Which is correct, "as if it was" or "as if it were"?
"As if it was."
Take "it" out of context and conjugate the verb "to be." You would say (in past tense) he/she/it was, not he/she/it were. You only use "were" after you, they, or we.
Edit due to Kim's comment: You're absolutely right. Sorry I didn't mention that.
Answer to:
What is deuce?
A deuce is any tie in the score starting with 40-40. This means that if the score is love-love, 15-15, or 30-30, it is not a deuce. But any ties after that are considered deuces.

Answer to:
What is the difference between taking digital .jpeg pictures versus .gif ones?
If you're talking about a digital camera, then you're better off using the JPEG.
Why? The JPEG has a much higher quality because it uses nearly all the colors that the camera captured. The GIF, on the other hand, is limited to 256 colors, and while this can be useful for compression, it sure does make your picture ugly.

How does the no-ad scoring system work?
If you're aware of how the advantage system works (as I believe I've explained it in another question in this section), then this answer is easy.
The no-ad system is just that; there are no advantage points. The first person to score 15-30-45-Game, wins. Even if the score is a deuce, you only need one point to win, as opposed to the at-least-two-points-rule that the advantage...

How do I delete the contents of the drop-down history list in Windows Mediaplayer?
With WMP open, click the Tools menu, and choose options. Select the "Privacy" tab and click the "Clear History" button. You can also check "Clear CD/DVD" history to be on the safe side. If you're tired of clearing the history repeatedly, you can uncheck the "Save file and URL history in the Player" box to prevent any more histories to be allowed.

I constantly get the same annoying pop-up that says "Your computer clock may wrong." Where is this coming from and how can I get rid of it? I have my Netscape preferences set to block pop-ups.
Well, make sure your computer clock is right, first. :)
But other than that, your computer may be infested with spy-ware and/or adware. These are annoying little programs that take a look at the patterns of websites you visit, and give you popups accordingly. To get rid of these adware and spyware, download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, and Spybot Search and Destroy at...

What exercises can I do to help me sing from my diaphragm?
One good practice I've learned is to breathe through a straw. The sucking motion you do is similar to that of breathing through your diaphragm.
EDIT: Sorry, if you do it right then it works. If you want an easier way to do it, then try bending over til your hands touch the floor (but your legs are still straight) and then breathe. If you feel your lower back region, you'll notice...

I see JT WROS written on some checks next to the person's name. What does this mean?
This website would be helpful:
http://www.canadianmoneysaver.ca/rc_drips_spp_helpful.aspx
It stands for joint tenant with right of survivorship. This means that if one owner of the joint account were to die, the shares go to the surviving owner without going through the estate.
Hope this helps ;).

Answer to:
Where did the term "the 411" originate?
When you dial 411, you are sent to your local information. An operator will help you to find a number or a person or a location anywhere in that particular region. It's really neat.
"The 411" parallels information. When someone asks for the 411 on something, they're usually asking for information on it.

How does the scoring work in the case of a tie?
A tie is known as a "deuce". This is when the score is 40-all (or higher). In tennis, a player must win by two points. So, until a player scores two points in a row after a tie, the game continues. Each point after the deuce is called an advantage point. So, for instance, say the score is deuce, and the server scores. The score is now "advantage-in". (It would be...

What exactly is rich text? How is it different from normal text?
Well, that link in the post before mine is not an example of rich text, it's an example of a flaming ugly gif file. Rich text does include bold, underline, italicized, etc, but it also includes other font formats, like strikethrough, shadow, emboss, multiple colors, multiple fonts, and multiple sizes.

I'm seeing this person -- she's 21, and I'm 18. Is that 3 year age difference a big deal?
Of course not. If the two of you really like each other and enjoy each other's company, there should be no limit to the age you two are. There was never any unwritten law saying you should date someone within a year of your age. After all, age is merely a number, and if you're both on the same level of high maturity (which you obviously are or you wouldn't even have bothered...

Is zero considered an even or odd number, or neither?
It's neither. Both zero and 1 are what are known as composite numbers. And yes, 0 is divisable by 2. 0/2=0.
EDIT: Ok. It's a faulty answer. Quit rating me several months after I posted this.
