Answer to:
Are child beauty pageants bad?
I have seen one of these events where its exactly like the ones on the tv documentaries. I thought it was a sick & sadistic form of living through ones kids activities. Some of the competitions held require alot of this fake stuff. Local pageants may not include the fake hairstyles even.
A question for parents that do have kids in pageants - Are you putting the money earned at these events...

How can i get my 4 year old to feed herself
Eat together & show them how to do it everyday. If not always possible - have someone else do it with them. Just someone even a babysitter to act as a role model of sorts at one particular meal. It doesn't have to be fancy just a meal together so they can see you do it too. Imitation is how alot of young children learn things.

Do you considered it odd for a kindergartner to already have a cell phone? That it being for everyday use.
I've heard it done for safety sake. A 5 yr old that is on a school bus to & from school. They are not allowed to take out the phones unless given permission by the school bus driver. And even in school the phone is off during class.
It doesn't make any sense to me either. The parents think its a reasonable thing.

Answer to:
I've been looking for my family crest. My last name is Norwegian ("Opheim") and I'm having trouble finding ANY Norwegian family crests. Why is this?
Not everyone in the world has Arms (The proper term) and it must be noted those well-meaning individuals selling arms are apart of the problem in heraldry today. If you want to buy your arms from shop or online shop - do so only as a research tool & not as in fact your own or your families. Unless you can prove it in a court of law in your home country - nope.

Answer to:
Are the Masons descendents of the Knights Templar?
Actually they are not if you're going by timeline issues. The problem is that the Templars only went underground & surfaced in other countries. They still exist today - trust me. I actually refer to the Freemasons Templars as Master Mason Rank Knight only. As they do not understand the fullness of knighthood.
Answer to:
Do you believe the Freemasons were in totally in history made up of old Templars?
I believe that the Freemasons adopted the ideas used by the Templars & the name for a rank only. In this way they recognized the templars before they were disbanded.

How do you turn down people in your office whose children are selling Girl Scout Cookies or really ugly wrapping paper nicely?
I usually buy one box from each GS cookie form presented. (If asked they've got to be prepared to take the order on the spot)
As to the ugly wrapping paper - I tell them I spent the money on GS Cookies every year.
Answer to:
Decades ago, when I wanted to join the Girl Scouts, the first thing they insisted on was the candidates selling books of chances before they would even "consider" membership. Is it still that way?
First of all, you were given inaccurate information way back then. To join, it is just a matter of learning the GS promise & laws - and filling out a membership form.
With the form & a fee - you were a card carrying member of the GSUSA. Troops usually do not sell raffle tickets. The major money maker they have these days are the oh so popular cookies. Councils do at times offer a...

Answer to:
What are the code of ethics for a Pageant Director with regard to interfacing with contestants during the pageant, favoritism, interfacing with the auditor and the judges scores?
A pageant director should not have direct contact with the contestants nor the parents. The pageant director is usually the one that runs the whole show & should have a person be the absolute contact & liaison with the participants. The Director works with the judges, staging people, producers, etc. In an ideal situation the first contact they make is just after the crowning ceremony.

Are you a vampire? If so where do you meet others?
As a physic vampire I meet & work with one everyday at work. He hates it when I shield completely as he loves to drain everyone in the room.
They don't know they're being drained and he does not realize I am one. Out of respect for him if everyone is drained out, I drain him for the rest of the day. Turn about is fair play when someone hurts others by this stuff.
Answer to:
Vampires or the idea of vampires...love or hate them and why?
Hmm, Vampires - real ones in society today do not appear like the ones in the movies
The vampire societies that exist nor those that drink blood are really vampires. The real ones know who they are or at least should know. And they do not act like those swarmy goof ups in the books either.
Anne Rice & them do not have an accurate picture of one in the books they write. I laugh at...

I believe it was flooded out & really existed. Only thing is that it occurred earlier in time then previously thought. Which would make since with the number of people who feel they have connections with it.

Answer to:
If you were judging a beauty contest, would you emphasize looks, talent, or poise?
If I was judging, if a kids pageant (under 15) I'd weigh everything with the verbal coaching done by the parent on the floor. Also, the rules of the competition should ban southern styling-that's not posing - its dancing.
Answer to:
What do you think of beauty contests involving preteens?
The pageants are for the parents mainly. The kids are victims of the parent or parents whims at first. Then later its the kids that live it due to not knowing anything else. Usually they overspend on the gowns & tuxes and not enough on the families needs alone. I call it stupid.

Feel like quitting? Have you thought of taking up diving?
Alot of elite gymnasts turn to diving or trampoline as an alternative without changing focuses. Some even do it as a side sport to keep concentration in the gym. I'm thinking of local spaces to practice not elite level athletic groups for doing this.
Answer to:

For your first class wear gym togs (sleeveless shirt & shorts) with socks or go barefoot.

Sorry to disappoint people-Magick is real-I have seen it work. Magick is not meant to make the world better in the scale that everyone thinks. I was at the library the other day and this guy...I think he was crazy! was opening books and spitting in them , closing them and putting them back on the shelf - over and over again - What was his problem?
Mentally ill, you might want to alert the library staff immediately about where this guy was doing that at.
Books are holders of gunk and germs. Also, dust doggies (bigger than a bunny) creation devices.
This library needs to put a stop to this mentally ill persons biohazardous ways. Liquids can damage books and also who wants to open a book thats been damaged by that stuff?
Thank you...

Answer to:
Does the librarian have a right to send you out of the library if you're sleeping there?
Depends upon what type of library - public, school, university, specialty.
Also, depends upon what your borrowing privileges are too. Student, staff, library visitor, etc.
Yes, I say that in that way because libraries do not always have librarians doing this task. I've awakened a few homeless people in my time in a library setting.

If Price William decides he only wants to adopt children, would those children still be heir to the throne?
I'm not an expert on this, but, if Prince William decides to adopt - whose to say that adoption couldn't include a child of Sophie?
A lesser royal but a family member indeed. And then if it comes to it - his then wife were to have a child naturally the question would be moot.

My great grandfather (Nicolaus Kontos) came to America from Greece in the early 1900's and shortened his original last name. Is there any way I could find any records of what his original last name was before he changed it? He had it changed in the U.S.
Check immigration records and then the ships manifest. Could be the name appears on the ships manifest. If at Castle Garden checkout the site - if at Ellis Island then search it.
However, understand that many peoples names were changed when standing in line at the immigration desks. Why? Phonetic spellings were often taken to avoid issues with extra letters or trying to get people to...

When was Wonder Woman's costume changed from eagle to "W"?
Changed with the end of the war. Seems she needed a costume change. If you're talking about the Linda Carter series - it happened gradually through the 2nd & 3rd season.
Despite what people think - her costume changed alot over the years. After a while the skirt was ignored, the boots changed to lower heels, the bodice went from a corset style to a full bodice in cloth.

Can the wife of a Duke be only a Countess if the Duke was originally a Count? There are some instances in history where the Duke's sister, or mother, is still the Duchess, even when the male is promoted to the Duchy.
Actually this is mixed up question
1) Can the wife a Duke be only Countess if the Duke was originally a Count?
Depends upon the country where the title was given. In some of them its possible the wife could have been made a Countess in her own right.
Please rephrase the rest of it as it doesn't appear clear as to whether you're asking about a Countess or a Duchess title.

Actually Paradise Islands technology is more advanced than most peoples in the areas of aerodynamics, invisibility and shielding.

They take blood from the arm. Actually in the past from my hand. Okay, I'm probably one a few that can stand having the hand done. And yes I hate it.
Anyway, sometimes testing blood in small quantities doesn't afford the use of the arm. Sometimes the finger is pricked to get a drop or two of blood.

If given a chance to be one of the judges in Ms. World Beauty Pageant, what would be your question?
Which is more important looking into a mirror or donating blood to help save lives.
Answer to:
In U.S. beauty pageants, they start with 50 girls, and then cut down to 15 at the beginning. How is this first big cut made?
At least the ones I've seen on tv. They are interviewed by the judges before the actual pageant on tv. They are also scored for different parts of the competition beforehand. At the time of the tv show they have the top 15 or so already selected. After that it depends upon the scores from that time on.

To sew the corners straight and crisp. I iron the placemats before sewing them and do so after each step. Some instructions do not mention this step. Also, if you take the corners and cut it down to no more than 5 centimeters of fabric in the corners.

You see a train out of control. It will crash into another train killing five people. The only way you can stop it is by pushing a very fat man onto the track. Can you sacrifice him to save the five?
No, because another way must exist. Like divert the train to another track or even attempt to get the engineer on board back into control of the train.

1st - Get to the Police and file charges if he's hurting you, 2) Get into a shelter they are anonymous looking buildings and are not usually known to people unless referred to them, 3) Notify your family these things were going on, 4) Get a peace bond against the person. Lastly, if you are the owner of the home or the apartment holder get him moved out of it and change all locks.

In alot of libraries the Bible is placed in the Reference Section, Religious Texts (yes some libraries have a section), Theology or even under General Non-Fiction.

I want my birth certificate, but my mom won't give it to me. I'm 18 years old and will soon be leaving for college, and I would like to have all my legal documents with me when I go. Isn't it my right to have it?
Either ask her for it again or go and get a copy from the state or county. That way you don't have to continue to argue with her. And yes you should have a copy for your records. While at college get a safety deposit box at the bank and put all major documents in it. No matter what happens with your dorm room, apartment or ? arrangements they won't go missing.

Personally, I was sick of the show as a kid. After five episodes it wasn't watched.
Each kid is different and if a kid likes it - they should be allowed to watch it. If like me, hates the usage of super sugary sweetness in a show - shouldn't be forced to watch it.
My favorite show at that time was Air Wolf - go figure. :)

How many heraldic heiresses are there in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland?
Okay, this is a tricky question. One that might be answerable only by the College of Arms in London or the Heralds in Northern Ireland.
Why? Because they would know about this subject more as they keep the records. Also, remember that women often do not inherit arms like through an inheritance. Many receive them as family members, becoming a Dame or a member of Parliament.

What shape shield can a woman use for her coat of arms. i know it used to be lozenge or oval only, but i've heard that now they can use shields, crests and mottos like men. is this true?

As a woman I do have a shield with motto, crest and that. However, remember that in most countries they are not usable. The USA is the only exception to the rule at this time.
