Could a device be put in an airplane to calculate the wind speed/direction blowing outside if the only inputs were Thrust,Airspeed,Altitude and Direction plane is facing , all loged on a time line? It's actually probably quite possbile. All you would need is a computer in the system that would account for the speed of the plane and use it to calulate wind speed. :)

The easiest way to avoid it is use scissors or a pockket knife to slice the plastic so it will just peel right off. :)
