do you think it takes women a long time to get out of the car they just parked?
I have noticed this seems to be a rather peculiar characteristic of most women. I've seen my own mother, sisters, aunts and all my female friends and even my ex-wife, do the same thing. When I was married my ex-wife and I got into a couple of silly arguments about this. We would go to the store, for example, I'm out of the car and alredy walked more than half way to the store and she'd be still...

Is that you in the picture? I can't see you whole but because you ask to be rated, I'll presume you have some degree of confidence, and if you do, you must have good reason to. My reasoning could be faulty, but I believe you're a 9. This is only my opinion. But here's an advice. Don't allow vanity to creep in. Vanity is not a friend.

Do you know any women you might expect to refer to themselves as "feminists"? How would you respond if a woman did so?
I just tell them I'm a "masculinist." That more than likely will throw them off. They would not be able to help themselves and start asking questions and they probably would not like what I have to say. I will use lots of logic, truth, and reasoning--something many "feminists" (particularly "Gender Feminists") are not interested in.

Au contraire. We atheists have morals. No we don't go around killing, robbing, molesting, and raping people. I have never been quite able to understand the assertion of many theists that atheists must be inherently immoral since they have no belief in a god that, presumably, would keep them behaving athically. But to us, atheists, a morality that is contigent upon authority or a desire to...

Actually, no. I even say "thank you." "God bless you" statement means absolutely nothing to me, but I do understand that in most cases is more of a cultural thing; so it doesn't call for me to be rude.

The two segments tangent to a circle from a point outside the circle are congruent.
Why?
Because eventhough the two tangents might be touching the circle at deifferent points of the circle, congruents have the same degree measure and are in the same circle or in congruent circles. The radius of the circle is perpendicular to the tangent line through its endpoint on the circle's circumference. Two tangent lines can be drawn to a circle from a point "P" outside the circle. Your question is very presumptuous and condescending. I'm an atheist, but that's all you know about me, yet you take the liberty to make a categorical asumption about me and atheists in general; inasmuch as your own book warns you against passing judgment. What a hypocricy!

Answer to:
Why do SOME Christians assume Atheist have no morals?
Some theists presumptuously think that they have the market cornered on moral principles, and make up that ostensive claim to suit their prejudices; and in doing so, they are, knowingly or unknowingly, disregarding passages in their own book which warn them about not to pass judgment on others. What a hypocricy!

He has this weird ability of dying and then resurrecting himself again; which at close examination is not much of a death as we know it if he can resurrect himself. No, atheism is not a religion. But there have been efforts by some religious fundamentalists to place atheism in the same light as religion to be seeing just as ridiculous and unreasonable.
Answer to:
Are Atheism and religion equally ridiculous?
No, is not. It's intelligent--not ridiculous--to take a default position when there's no empirical evidence to support or to warrant a "belief" that is defined as something supernatural; and thus impervious to scientific investigations or any form of reason based on observations. This the position of atheism.

No, that jurisdiction is not extended to collection agencies; unless the loan is directly provided to you by a specific collection agency, which is highly improbable because all the agencies collectors do is to act as middle-man on behalf of loan companies you owe the money to, and they get a cut from any money they could successfully "collect" from you.

Answer to:
"God bless America"? Why would God pick America for a blessing and not Afghanistan or China, or Iraq or all people ?
I like your question very much--it's an interesting one. Of course, that's the god created by man. A god who has preference and is also jealous--among other things. Many (if not most) of the American peopple believe this country to be worthier, more to be revered, more sacred and held in higher honor by the god than any other country in the rest of the world. Not only that, they also believe...
Answer to:
Just how open is your mind?
Well, most of us generally believe that we ourselves are open-minded; however, this belief is itself something about which we need to be really open-minded because true (or an ideal) open-mindedness requires--with respect to our beliefs--that we steer a path between empty-minded credulity and dogmatic resistance, and also, to remain watch to the traps and pitfalls that undermine our attempts...

Atheists, be honest, are you ever concerned about what will happen when you die?
No because I already know what's going to happen. Every organ in my body will stop functioning; consequently, the body will turn rigid and cold. A postmortem examination will be performed to fully know the extent of the illness I died from. I will then be placed in a coffin and displaced at a funeral home for family members and friends to take a last pick at my dead ass. After that, I will be...

I'm (for most part) a happy person. I have quite a few good things going for me in my life that are the reasons for my happiness, but they are not related to my atheism. Of course, I find certain comfort in being an athiest because I don't have any god or goddess to worry about, to fear or to worship.

No I would say nothing to him/her. Your friend didn't kill, rape or rob anyone, he simply used some language that we have come to associate with something terribly bad. No, I don't think so. Perhaps to your amazement, yes, there are believers who, literally, believe there was a talking snake. But they believe everything else, so the talking snake story is just chicken-feet to them. But I'd give some credit to the bible. It was very instrumental and inspirational to the making of the movie "SHREK."

I suddenly don't know what I believe anymore as far as religion is concerned. What do you believe? Maybe I can just pick one.
The problem is that religion is not subjected to the will. There has to be a compelling reason to warrant a belief. I believe Santa exists within a pagan myth, but I've seen no evidence that would compel me to believe that he's real. And fat guys dressing as Santa every year won't do it.

How can you believe in an afterlife but not believe in a supreme creator? Isn't that a contradiction within itself?
I think it would be a contradiction only if you believe that the concept necessitates (logical necessity) the proposition of a creator. I never got interested in that kind of stuff. I always looked at those people as just individuals who work for a living doing a different job (acting, dancing, singing, etc) than mine--that's it. I have busy myself with my own personal life and affairs; thus I have no time to spare on something that I frankly find trivial and pretty silly. Can a thorough study of the bible support atheism just as much or more than belief in God and the supernatural?
Interestingly, I've known many believers who themselves admitted to me that they hardly read the bible. Well, from an atheist perspective I can ask you somewhat similar question.
You, as a believer, must look deep into your heart and mind and ask yourself this question if you haven't done it yet:

Yet every believer in the supernatural imagine that they have figured out a way to do so.

What the "socio/psychopatic" element in the nature of mankind illustrates is a flaw in the design of the "designer"--either willfully or perhaps because the "designer" might not be "all-knower" and "all-wise" after all. And if we were "created in his own

One of the reasons I spend very limited amount of time watching TV. The stingy amount of time I have to watch TV I use it to watch sport (football, track & field and boxing), DISCOVERY channel or some [scheduled] program dealing with political or economical issues--that's it.

Why is the USA a warrior nation ? Are we forced into it by the military industrial complex ?
Yes, killing people that you never met from other countries is a big business. 685.1 billion dollars--according to the New York Time--was the USA military budget in 2009.
I don't know what the budget was this year (2010), or it would be in 2011, but I have
no indication to believe that it would not increase. Jobs sources have shrinked dramatically, and it will shrink even more, so many young...

Teenage years are supposely the "best of your life". How many of you believe that to be true? Do you think life gets better or worse?
I had a good teenage years--full of fun and very little to worry about besides getiing good grades and attending track practice, and never got in any serious trouble. But as you get older life becomes more complicated as your responsibilties increase, along with all of the challenges life presents to each one of us.

Categorically no. It has never occurred to me such an idea or acted on such an idea;

ATHEISTS: Are you an embittered atheist (the sort of atheist who does not so much disbelieve in God as personally dislike Him).(orwell)
No, I would have no problem with the existence of a god--any god or goddess. But I would vehemently argue that he/she is neither good, nor all-knower, no merciful, nor forgiven, nor benevolent, nor compassionate, nor his/her moral character seems
to be of a quality higher above that of his/her own creatures. If a god or goddess exists, that's the god/goddess that weather-cock atop of...

(M.L.King,Gandhi,the Christ spoke truth and were killed for it)
I tell the truth as I know it. If for doing so I become less likable to some--perhaps even hated--that's a risk I'm willing to take. After all, the truth is only inconvenient
to the enemies of truth--those who may be guilty of whatever ugliness the truth

I'm not 100% certain one way or another, but for me, as it is for other atheists, it is wholly a matter of evidence--empirical evidence that is. While I would need perfect
knowledge of the universe to be 100% certain that no god exists, I don't, however,
need said knowledge to disbelieve in a specific god's existence. If this or any other god is defined well enough that I could examine the...

A lot younger than what I actually am. I'm 43 years of age and many people who try to guess my age are always wrong by 10 and 13 years. That could be a genetic factor,
or the fact that I was a track athlete (100, 200m) from junior highschool all the way

I would not go to a LeBron James' birthday party--or any other so-called "celebrity" for that matter--even if I were offered a free pass. $500,000 is enough money to feed a starving African village for at least a month. People began to think for themselves and now they see religion for what it is.
Answer to:
Do athiests play God by asserting that there is NO God?
No, I personally don't, and none of the ones I know do play God. The position of most atheists is not exactly that we know with absolute certainty that there's no
god. We simply say that there's no empirical testable evidence which could persuade
us to believe that there's a supernatural being here on earth or somewhere in outer
space. If the God is defined well enough that one can examine the...

In Christianity, how did the concept of the Trinity originate?
While the majority of the Christian world considers the concept of the "Trinity" vital
to Christianity, many historians and Bible scholars agree that the "Trinity" owes more to Greek and pagan polytheism than to monotheism of the Jew and the Jewish Jesus. In the book "The Two Babylons"--written by a scholar and Protestant
minister named Alexander Hislop in the 19th century--he devotes several...

Atheist: by what moral standard do you judge how others treat you?
By the Categorical Imperative--which says: "Whatever you do, consider the consequences if your actions were a universal law." And we find those moral
standards adequate because they are supported by consistent and well founded
reasons. Moral conduct is the observation of a set of principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong, good and bad behavior.

Are Faith and Reason Incompatable? Please explain why you so answer.
"Faith" is grounded in wishful thinking and fear. "Faith" allows the individual to ignore and/or dismiss anything that can contradict whatever the individual believes in. All they have to do is not to acknowledge the contradictions by shutting off their capacity for reasoning. "Faith" is, in some way, admitting that one cannot

Do atheists fear Religion?
Well, me personally not necessarily "fear," but I view organized religion as being an
antagonistic contradiction in human development. Religion has people worrying
about "life after death" while their lives before death is a living hell. This irrational
nonsense is at the core of religion.

I did hate religion since I was a lad--even before I could reason whether or not religion deserves any merit. So probably I've been an atheist all my life. And this is somewhat unusual because I was born to
a deeply religious family and my father being a preacher. But even at an early age I had problem with the whole concept.

result must have a cause, then [something] must have caused the causer which caused the cause and so on to infinite regress. And why should we assume that is a
"divine" cause?

Is evolution proven?
Science doesn't assert absolutes. Science is concerned with discovering the most reasonable, most sound, most likely explanation based on the available evidences. Nothing in the real world can be proved with absolute certainty;
nonetheless, high degrees of certainty can be reached, and where Evolution is concerned, science has a huge amount of datas from diverse fields with extensive evidence,...

What was the last book added to the bible?
The book of Revelation; at least arranged in that order. But if you read the Abingdon Bible Commentary (1929) you will find some interesting arguments
opposing this view. How credible are they? Don't know.
Answer to:
Who were the people who led you to your faith or the lack of it?
When I was 10 years old I told my parents that the only reason I was going to church
was because they were forcing me. So it seems to me, in some strange way I can't quite comprehend, that there was some sort of predisposition in me to reject religion. In light of that, I can't categorically say that my parents forcing religion on me (us) is the reason for my lack of faith.
Answer to:
Would you like your children to follow the same faith as you?
I do not follow any "faith" and neither do my children. I do acknowlege that most likely I had some indirect influence in their decision, but they were the ones who ultimately made that decision. And if at any point in their lives they decide to ambrace any particular faith, that's fine by me.
Answer to:
How do you get faith?
Shut off reason.

I'd like to know why people are so insistent on expressing their hate of god?
If religion could--and not for lack of trying--it would regulate every action, words, and thoughts of every single person on this world. If religion fills people's minds, particularly children's, with a chimerical effigy called "Satan," and induce fear with

Well, I'm a fervent reader--I've always been. Reading and writing is my passion, and I
