Yes, it is quite possible, my friends mum lost all her teeth when she was 25yrs old with Gum Disease, which is caused mainly by stress. Easier if nails are pink as you can see the "quick" You need heavy duty proper nail clippers, and they need to be strong and sharp or you can hurt your dog. First just take the tips off, then as you get more confident take a little more next time, but be careful not to go to far or you will have a bleeding nail, its not the end of the world, but it does make a mess!

My dog's 1 year old and he's a min pin. i go for walks 5 times a walk at least with him, and there an hour or 45 mins long. every time someone walks by , either alone or with there dogs, he try's to pull me to them and he barks at them. what do i do? My 7 month old GSD has been licking at her vagina. There's a slight rash red coloring inbetween her hind legs. She also leaks a urine like liquid from her vagina when laying or siting down. Started 4 weeks after spay. What Could cause this? It sounds like she has an infection, and maybe a thrush type, you MUST take her to the vet immediately, something is wrong with her for sure, and it could be a problem with the speying operation.

In order to register the progeny you need to mate her to a fully registered GSD dog. However if your bitch is not registered there is no point in thinking about breeding with her. There are too many unwanted dogs now :-(

Why can't I control my dogs? I have read the literature, exercise them daily, and so forth. They jump on strangers, bark, and obey commands only when they want. They are 4 years old. No training seems to work in real life situations! You have to be FIRM with them, I think your only course of action is to take them to training classes, I do not think you will be able to achieve obedience in your dogs by yourself at this point!

Normally neutering sorts most males out, but better done early in life than later, hopefully once he is fixed his "desires" will settle after a couple of months, but it may have already become a "habit" so you will need to help him stop if that should be the case.

This is going to be a VERY difficult task for you, as once a cat finds a fav scratching place they will always go back to using it, given the chance. The best solution is to remove the item, and make sure you have plenty of substitutes e.g. scratch posts, another way is to cover the item so the cat cannot get at it, but you do have a problem which is a bad habit to break. If you had the choice to take as much money as you could carry and gold was the heaviest and the 1 dollar notes were the most cumbersome what would you carry if you had to cross a 5 day desert and you had to pack your own water and food It would make sense to take the notes as you could evenly distribute them to make transportation easier, also if you needed to shed some weight you could be more selective and I feel lose less financially. From a lot of responses I get here on AB, I seem to notice that a lot of people (especially young people), have an animosity against police. Don't you think that's a sad statement about our society? Personally I think that the Police are some of the biggest crooks around, plus many take advantage of their situation. I have had many dealings with them on various matters. On the other hand there are some really good guys about, genuine and fair, sad for them they get job-lotted with the others.

My dog won't eat by herself unless you hand feed her. How can I get her to eat out of her bowl by herself? She will no eat unless she is hand fed. No healthy animal will starve itself to death! Try putting some of her fav treats in her bowl first. Also if she is young or from a rescue she may not be used to eating from a bowl. I recently bought a new Stud Male and at 3 yrs old he did not eat from a food bowl as sadly he had not used to one. He is fine now.

My dog has what looks like dried blood in his ear and he keeps shaking his head and scratching it. What could cause this? Ear Mites for sure, they must be pretty bad as well for him to make his ear bleed, you need the proper ear drops from the vet and need to use them for a week, then a week off, then again for a week and repeat, as you need to destroy the eggs also when they hatch.

I live in an area of beaches, deserts, green belts, theme parks, state parks, mountains, malls and theatres but still the kids hang out in the street obstructing traffic. Lazy kids or lazy parents? I blame the parents, kids learn what they live, so lazy parents/parenting will produce layabouts ! There is a flap of skin that comes up but she isn't bleeding Don't worry, if you can get some wound healing powder, it will help dry it (if it is moist) or use Aloe Vera Gel to speed up healing. When outside he keeps his eyes almost closed even when walking around. Why? My boxer hind leg appears lame, no pain by all indications however it is swollen at bottom of limb and paw pads swollen as well, very worried anything i can do before vet visit tomorrow sounds like a bite, certainly a reaction to either a bite or something he had stood on, infected. Antihistamins will reduce swelling (if it is an allergic reaction) and antibiotics will deal with infection if necessary.

My dog started panting heavily and licking her limbs to cool down. Its not that hot as it is 12 at night. Has she been bitten by a spider or is she a little dehydrated? For bites/allergies give antihistamin tabs - you can get from vet of drug store - just half human dose for normal dog, 1/4 for small dog. Also make sure she is drinking - keep check on her water bowl, change and clean daily. If it is weather/heat related either give her v.cool shower or get out the hosepipe!
