After 17 years with no promotion, I inquired and was informed that I was working at the top salary grade allowed for that degree. I went back to college (part-time, of course) and got a Bachelor's Degree. Even then, it took another 6 years to get a promotion and I never received another. If I get a call after 7 PM, it's usually a wrong number or an annoyance call. I look at the caller ID. Took them an hour and a half to bring out an order of 10 chicken wings - which were burnt - and we had to get up and find the waitress for a drink refill. Have you ever done a "Dine and Dash"? I've never left without paying the bill. Hard to tell if it's the chef's fault or the wait staff. One should not be punished for the other's mistakes. Do you have to pay for your town/city water? Mine is about $300 a year. Yes, I have municipal water. However there's a debt service on our bill due to having to build a sewage treatment plant, so mine is about $400 a year which is made in two payments - April and October.

Being a catholic, i disagree with what Halloween as it is a mockery of what it used to be, a day to remember those no longer with us. It makes me angry with "Trick or Treaters". When and why did the current Halloween tradition become popular? The same thing has happened to Easter and Christmas also. The addition of secular customs to otherwise solemn religious observances was to make it more palatable to the common people. Modern Halloween customs are relatively late comers and probably evolved in the early 20th Century. Just Wikipedia Halloween for more accurate info.
