Has anyone ever had problems with TracFone representatives?
Not really. I'm a Net10 customer (TracFone owns Net10) and have actually had better service by calling TracFone's CS number than I get from Net10's.
For one thing, it seems like more of their reps speak English as their primary language, rather than Spanish.

Are self-described (anti-liberal) conservatives the kind of people who, in 1776, would have remained loyal to King George III?
Not at all. We believe in liberty and personal freedom. We believe anyone can rise to any level of society through perseverence and hard work. We do not believe in class warfare or that any segment of society should be treated any differently than any other. That is the antithesis of Crown Loyalists. Furthermore, he knows exactly what those soldiers could face, because he faced it himself....

OMG! Should a drunk driving conviction of the husband of Sarah Palin TWENTY-TWO YEARS ago (1986) even be in play, any more? WHAT does it have to do with her abilities to be VP?
It has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with how well she'll be able to do the job of Vice President of the United States.
It's a complete non-issue for everyone except a left-wing extremist.

What do people think of McCain's choice for VP after finding out her 17 year old daughter is pregnant? To me, it just confirms the absence of morals I was pretty sure existed throughout the republican party.
It makes absolutely not difference. Children are OFF LIMITS to political mudslinging.
And you obviously know NOTHING about human nature if you believe any parent can keep their kids from having sex. It happens to every part of the political spectrum. Republican, Democrat, Independent or something else, people are people.
Judge Sarah Palin on her politics, not her family.

Not entire cities, but sections have been. The one that immedately springs to mind in this general area is the Love Canal neighborhood in Niagara Falls, NY. We all love coffee! :-D How do you make (and take) yours at home?
Rarely, but when I do, I take it black, two sugars (or rather Splenda, as I'm a type II diabetic).
The reason I don't drink it more often is due to the fact that I'm hypersensitive to caffeine, and every time I drink coffee, I'm plagued with muscle cramps for several days.

Several:

Is it true that if you're illegal and marry a US citizen, and then apply for a green card, that the penalty would be for the illegal person to go back to his or her original country for a while?
If you're here illegally, you'll be sent back no matter what, unless there is a compelling reason (such as fear of imminent death or an imminent birth) to keep you here. It doesn't matter that you married an American. You broke the law by coming here (or rather, in the way you came) and you must pay the penalty.

I'm 24, a virgin, been kissed once (9 years ago). I've never had a boyfriend except for online dating. I don't do the bar/club scene. I rarely meet new people. Should I join a match-up site?
If it weren't for an extremely bad one-night stand when I was 28, I'd be the proverbial 40-year old virgin. My advice is DON'T. Online dating (and dating in general) is all about lying. It's based on false pretences and stereotypes. If you have to lie to get a date, it's not worth it.

Why do americans change words in the english dictionary for no reason

Why we change words from their British meaning is due to the fact that most of the British words mean something completely different to Americans:
"Gas" to an American, is not natural gas. It's the shortened form of gasoline, what you call petrol. "Fuel-gas" (more commonly known as "natural gas") is what you call gas.

The point is moot. The question is not "should we have ever been there (or be there now)". We ARE there. It's done. Nothing will change that.

What do you think human civilization will be like 10,000 years from now? What will the culture be like? What sort of day-to-day technology will exist? Will we solve the energy crisis by then? Will global warming still be an issue? Etc.?
Ultimately, I think basic civilization will be unchanged from what it is now. At the instinctive, reptilian-brain level, humans will always organize into "us vs. them". Yes, there will be easier transportation and communications, resulting in a blurring of those concepts to such an extent that someone from this time would mistake it for having been eliminated, just as the modern...

I agree with phillis. The instinct to organize into groups is basic human nature. In fact, it's the same drive that will make eradicating war impossible (we can sanitize it all we want, but we're not going to eradicate it). Yes. Like it or not, our economy is going to be petroleum based for at least the next forty years, and we absolutely must find a way to replace foreign oil.

Is the sun burning gas or just a ball of something on fire?
It's actually a thermonuclear reaction (think an H-bomb, only without the blast effects) that is slowly converting hydrogen into helium. Later in its life cycle, it will convert helium into carbon. Once that stage is complete, the sun will die and be just an Earth-sized lump of pure carbon, since there won't be enough mass left to fuse carbon into something else.

My son had a traffic "failure to appear" bench warrant on him in Manchester, Missouri. Do the Manchester police department have the right to come to your home to arrest you on a "failure to appear" bench warrant? I was told they cannot come to the home.
Oh yes they can!
I had a neighbor a few years ago who constantly violated the city's noise ordinance by cranking his stereo high enough to be louder than my own stereo could go (despite the fact that mine was located TWO FLOORS BELOW - Yes, in my apartment, HIS was louder than mine could go!) and the city court judge issued TWENTY-ONE separate bench warrants. And the local police...

Where did you go on your first train trip?
Unless you count subways and commuter trains, I've never been on a train trip.
If you only count commuter trains, it was up and down the Rhondda Valley in Wales (from Cardiff in the south to Tonypandy in the north) during a visit last year.
If you include subways, then it was around New York City during a visit in '82.

Do you think that whoever wins the primary for the democratic campaign be it Obama or CLinton, that they should just nominate the other as their running mate to basically dominate the election? Would that be smart?
Obama's support amongst likely voters, especially those in the middle of the political spectrum, has dropped considerably, mostly due to his increasingly blatant arrogance and his unwillingness to tackle economic problems from anything but a Sierra Club-centric direction. It won't matter who he puts on the ticket as VP. He has no chance.

You would think Hillary Clinton would learn after losing against Obama for the nomination. I just heard she's going to run AGAIN in 2012. Is anyone else with me in thinking she's lost her mind?
Her entire political career has had the aim of becoming President. That's why she chose to run for the Senate here in New York, because she wanted to follow the Bobby Kennedy pattern (he was a carpetbagger, too).
I predict that she will keep running until she either wins the Presidency or dies trying.

Most modern video cards have an S-video output, which can be connected to most modern TV's. All you need is an S-video cable.

I don't have any children, but if I did, I'd choose them in a life or death situation. My parents have had good, long lives, and wouldn't begrudge me a few years, knowing that their grandchildren were alive to carry on.
In the case of a quarrel, it would depend on the subject.

Hate is not so much a matter of time as of environment. The reason it's so prevalent in small towns is because such small towns tend to be insular and isolated, which leads to mistrust of anyone from "outside", regardless of their race. Any racism is merely because "he don't look like us".

And where has that stance taken us? In Iraq, it's led to a decrease in violence, and even talk of a drawdown. Here at home, it promises more domestic energy production (both drilling and alternatives) and an enmity toward pork barrel spending.

Who knows when this recession is going to end. My family are literally struggling and i feel completely helpless. Can some explain the meaning of a "recession" in the most simplest terms please?
The offical definition of recession is two consecutive quarters of negative growth. We have not had an official recession since 2001-2002, when we had a one-year recession, mostly due to 9/11. What we are in is offically an economic slowdown, since the GDP and other indicators are still growing, but at a slower rate than expected.

Why is Meatball generally considered to be a good guy on All In The Family? True, he may have been more educated, but shouldn't he respect Archie's view in his own home?
It's Hollywood, where liberals are always right and conservatives are always wrong. Since meathead (and Rob Reiner, the actor who portrayed him) was at the extreme left of the political spectrum (like nearly all of Hollywood since the Johnson Administration), he was automatically seen as "good" by the propaganda machine that is Hollywood.

What is your feeling about the United Nations attempting to dictate laws to the US and other countries about gun control (bans)? Keeping in mind this violates the United States Constitution.
Actually, treaties are considered to be at the same level as the Constitution (per Article VI), but treaty negotiators and Senate staffers are very careful not to include anything that would negate any part of the Constitution.
As for my feelings on what the UN wants... screw them. They have no authority to enact or enforce it.

Should George W. Bush be subject to investigation by the International War Crimes tribunal? Why or why not?
No. He acted with congressional approval, therefore, if there are any charges, not only Bush but every member of Congress would have to be impeaced and tried.
While we're at it, why not dig up John F. Kennedy and put him on trial for starting the Vietnam War? Or Franklin D. Roosevelt for World War II?
Or do you ONLY want to prosecute Republicans?
