How many of you use your home printers to print off photos, and how many of you go to a special photo printing kiosk?
I've done both and the kiosk is much better compared to my printer. I have an HP Photosmart C3180 and besides the ink being incredibly expensive for photos, the ink runs when touched with the slightest bit of water even after being dry for several weeks.

How do you drink Corona beer with the slice of lime stuck in the neck of the bottle?
You of course either take the lime out and carefully squeeze the juice into the bottle tossing the lime aside afterward, or you do like I used to: squeeze the juice into the bottle, peel the rind off and shove the lime down into the bottle. :)
Corona is also good without the lime.

I'd listen to 'old timey' country music all day some days, but can only handle rap in bits and pieces. SPM and Grimm were the only rappers I was ever remotely interested in and that changed for the most part when SPM got sent up on child molestation charges down in Texas.

When you're running the 100m and the 200m how do you run your absoulute fastest? How do you physically and mentally prepare for those events. What techniques can you do to build your speed rapidly?
When I ran track in high school, I was also kind of a bad boy. So when I'd race, I'd pretend the police were chasing me. I did fairly well with that school of thought.
Another(maybe humorous) approach would be to imagine all of the runners being chased by a pack of animals and if you get out in front the furthest, you won't be eaten.

No. Even though I'm married with two kids, being home alone is a very nice treat most of the time. Gives me time to evaluate things. If a home invasion comes my way, the people will be shot and killed. I don't mess around.

Yes. Two kids at my daughters high school have had to be taken to the emergency room after drinking these 'energy drinks'. Went a bunch when I was younger(CCD classes included), stopped for a long time and just started going every week again since last Christmas. I typically use black frames with a white matte, unless I have a photo that I think would look better in something else. Then I use an appropriate stlye/color. One seems to be likened to a sloth, the other...a bull in a china shop. And CaptRon made a very good point...time itself never changes. Time waits for no one.

We have a host of critters that venture out at night where I live...coyotes, bears, skunks, foxes, racoons and it'd be nice to have some level of protection at least for the first...

That's funny I haven't seen that where I live. Here it's a bunch of 'free spirit' liberal granolas, telling kids that it's okay to go your own way in life, to move at your own pace and 'just let it all go' type crap. They surely aren't teaching them for success in my area.

Two of my sisters got a computer virus from FaceBook. Has this happened to anyone else?
Not yet for me...my computer kept getting attacked a year or so ago whenever I visited myspace. I was told that I was getting attacked through my ISP and not the site itself. Don't know if this shedded any light on it for me, as I still blame the myspace site. Hopefully it wasn't too bad for your sisters.

They may already be able to do that. I would suggest you look at the petroleum industry as being a strong deterrent to such a vehicle. They surely would make a lot less money.

You may feel sick because of the glasses not sitting the same way on your nose and ears. All it takes for me to feel that way is to have more or less distance between my glasses and my eyes. Just that will get me feeling that way.

I'd be going for a notebook, more than a blog. EVERYONE you tell about the site, plus others may be able to read what you put up there. This may change somes perception of you. Putting yourself and your feelings up on the net for the world to possibly see can be a bad thing. Best thing I can see is for a notebook and pen to come into your life for this purpose. Is it cheaper for a company to CLAIM they have the lowest prices (and give a discount to the occasional customer that found better prices elsewhere) rather than to ACTUALLY have the lowest prices?
Yes. Even in this day and age, not as many people check around. For some that would mean burning mucho petrol. Where does the price even out when you consider time and gas wasted. So the occasional discount is better than lowest prices all the way around. Walmart is certainly not the cheapest on everything, neither is my local supermarket chain, even though they claim to be.

I went in a store and all the time I was there, the clerk never got off her cell phone. She never lost a beat - kept right on talking even while at the cash register. I found this really rude, like her talk was more important than me. Your opinion?
I dislike cell phones. I've seen more rudeness occur lately because of them. Whether it's driving, working or in line at a fast food place, cell phones do not make for a pleasant experience except for those that are using them. In your instance, customer service should've been her top priority. I've worked for a landscaping company before and the boss prohibited his...

Do you have problems with your 8-10 year old girl wanting overpriced, named brand clothes to the point of crying and fussing?
Nope. Our kids know that there is no way we can afford those things. Fortunately, I live in a farming community where kids are more likely to be laughed at for persuing such things. There are a few however, and boy, do they look out of place. Functionality is paramount around here.

I've done the latter numerous times, as I would want someone to do to me, if I ever did drop money. I'm too much of a tightfisted person with money I guess. :)

Any good home remedies/ideas for severe calf cramping? Getting them both at night and during the day.
You too, eh? If you find something that works let me know. I've been trying potassium, water, muscle relaxants etc... nothing seems to help. I had a real bad attack early this morning. Crying and hobbling around the room, trying to make it go away. Nothing like waking up to that in the middle of the night. I've had three surgeries on my back and this seems to be a symptom that...

Yes, it worked out perfectly. Wife and I were stuck up at a lakeside cabin staring at Mt Katahdin during a freak early snow storm. Couldn't leave for two days. No electricity, no phone, plenty of wood, food and coffee...outhouse trips weren't too fun, but it was still a slice of heaven for sure! Best time I can remember in recent years.

Not exactly sure what causes it in you, but try looking up the benefits of and maybe carefully adding potassium, in some form, to your diet. It's supposed to aid in helping the nerves to fire correctly. I have spasms in my legs post surgery and a potassium suppliment does seem to help me out some. Good luck.

Is there a smell that reminds you of your childhood? What is it?
There are a few. Freshly laid road tar, lilacs. Unfortunately I grew up down the street from a high traffic veterinarians office, so a day or two each week there was also the acrid smell of burning animals.

Have you ever fired a gun; if yes, what was your reaction? Did it lead to firearm ownership? Why or why not?
Yes. Started with pellet guns in the jr. high rifle club. The first reaction I had was one of flinching and then of sadness when I realized I failed to hit the target at all. Being able to put the pellet where you wanted it to go from a distance was a good confidence booster. Recite your favorite song lyrics and tell me why you love them.
Holiday by James McMurtry
The in-laws are waiting the games have begun
The cell phone keeps ringing “don’t answer it hon”
The whole thing’s arranged just to aggravate Dad
And it’s amateur day on the old super slab
The kids are strapped down like a half load of pipe
All safe in their car seats they fuss and they gripe
Well you can’t hardly blame...

It's got some good aspects to it. I don't dance, but it can put a bounce in my step. Some of it's relaxing and some playful. I like the traditional as well as the dubs. The Ska and Rock Steady periods also both have their plusses.

Sure would. I like my privacy. Just because you live in a house that's totally private doesn't mean people won't wander where they shouldn't go. What temperature do you keep you home at in the winter time?
60 F. during the day and 56-58 F at night.

Grerat really isn't the best word to describe anyone in the Mafia. Most commit crimes against innocent victims either directly or indirectly. Ruthlessness could go to Albert Anastasia.
While cunning wise it may go to Vincent Gigante, who used Tony Salerno as a front boss for the Genovese family and feigned mental illness to avoid prosecution for a decade or two, until being put away...

Can there be: yes. Will there be: Not as long as there's greed. They certainly aren't extinct, they just prefer to take a low profile in the US. They're a part of many industries in the larger cities, especially New York. There they still have their fingers in a lot of pies. Overseas, they're a little more brash in their activities.

Do like I did before: at the same time I'd jump up 3 feet off the bed, throwing the covers to one side and assume a defensive stance waiting for my eyes to focus. Many years ago, I freaked a new girlfriend out doing just that. I'd given her my key and she let herself in one time, after her shift was over, trying to surprise me while I was sleeping. Surprise....even when sleeping,...

I have heard that if you are 20 and not a Democrat you don't have a heart. If you are 30 and not a Republican, you don't have a brain. What do you think?
I think we need to exercise both the critical and emotional parts of our brain, screw political trains of thought. There are times when the emotional part and critical part clash, that's when you have to step back and decide which part will rule in each specific situation. Some just let their emotions run wild 90% of the time, while others for the most part never let their emotions come...

Have you ever seen a cougar where you live? If so, where do you live? I am in Southern NH and saw one in my backyard last spring. Thank you.
Yes. I live in Maine. Some friends and I saw one while hunting a year or two ago. I saw it from the mid way point to the end of the tail, they saw the face and a got a good side view when it turned sideways and ran to get off the powerline clearing and into the woods. Does it make you really steaming mad, when you go to a welfare recipients house and they have expensive items, that you, the person working to pay for their welfare check, can't even afford? Isn't spreading the wealth great?
Nope. It could've been a purchase from before they were laid-off or when they weren't in such dire straits. Sorry but, having been there I can tell you that welfare checks typically are just enough to cover bare living expenses and sometimes not even that. Do some research and find out what people receive while on welfare, figure out what they have to take out for expenses and...

I tend to think that the higher up a person gets in the political system, no matter their political affiliation, the farther out of touch with reality and common sense they become. This same thought can also be applied to one's level of wealth as well.

You should try to find volunteering opportunities or activities where if you were to show up stoned, people would know that you were. This may help in keeping you away from it. Keep in mind, it's easier to give up and fall away from what you are trying to do, than it is to stay in line and on track with your goal. This time it's best if you don't choose the path of least...

In January 11 soldiers were fired from the Army for being unable to hide the fact they are gay.One guy said "They gave me a medal for killing two men and fired me for loving one". Is that action justifiable?
Depends on what the current policy is on gays in the military. They created the rules, if someone doesn't like it, just like in the civilian world, they can either work to change that rule or they can work somewhere else. From what I understand, no one has been drafted for a while. They joined on their own free will, they should be willing to live within regulations, no matter how silly...

They confront you, typically after you leave the store(thus ensuring their suspicions that you had no intention of paying for the item) and ask you to come with them back inside the store with them. How about just dropping evolution from the school curriculum and letting parents handle the subject on their own? Seeing as how there's so much arguement on the subject, just drop it and let parents handle the beliefs part altogether.

A wicked funny comedian from the 80's(Emo Phillips). Also had a part in writing some very funny screenplays.

The government does, but civilians can't. They steal freedom from a thief by sentencing him to jail w/o his/her permission. Has there ever been a person in government that has had so many people dissecting every single thing he does, and questioning it over and over, as Barak Obama has? (personally, I'm finding it is getting tiring)
Yeah I think GW went through the same thing towards the end of his illustrious presidential career. ALL politicians deserve to have this happen to them, especially the ones in 'upper management' if you will. If you're given a credit card with unlimited spending and over 300 million people paying it back for you, you deserve to get scrutinized over every decision you make. Just...

This is 'our' song. We've danced to it many times including at our wedding. We'll also break out into the song with a 1/2 a verse or so just out of the blue on occasion. Kind of keeps things going and always manages to bring a smile to the others face. Good Q!

They can only do this with the familys permission. I think they were saying the ban went into effect when Bush senior was on tv talking about the original invasion, saying it was going well, and they split screened him to include coffins coming off of the airplane after it had landed on US soil. Some families have complained on both sides. Some that wanted to, weren't granted the...

The Obama administration wants to reinstate the ban on assault weapons, which expired in 2004. Do think this will lead them to place more strict gun restrictions on gun owners, or perhaps a ban on guns?
Hopefully neither, especially the ban on guns part. If they're banned at this point only non-law abiding citizens will have them, putting others at a severe disadvantage. Law enforcement isn't always around the corner, especially if you live rural. The ability to defend your family and yourself is important. Edit to read: Yes instead of No, and it is true that ginger kids need to stay out of the sun, much like...vampires. ;-)
BTW, one of my daughters is ginger-haired and does have a low pain tolerance level. Same as my wife who was ginger-haired until the 6th grade. She seems to bruise if you just look at her the wrong way.

What are some of the things that keep lost people from coming to Christ and being saved?
For some it's the fear of being made fun of by others...worried about what others might think of them. Not everyone who believes in God is a 'Jesus freak'. While there are some extremists, these type of people exist in every faith and even non-faith based groups. For some, it's being associated with these type of people that keeps them from coming to Christ. There...

If smokers can sue tobacco companies, can gunshot victims sue gun manufacturers?
I see the humor and intended sarcasm but, they can and have(not to say they've won). It happens more frequently than you'd think. When there is a wrongful death and a firearm is involved, sometimes the gun manufacturer is listed in the suit to cover the suers butt, because in the end they want someone to pay for the loss of a loved one. If a weapon can be proven as defective in any...
Answer to:
Soooo if President Obama's stimulus package is such a great idea why is the stock market tanking?
No such thing as an overnight saving of the economy. Us getting into this mess didn't happen overnight, neither will the fix. I'm surely not saying that O'bamas plan will save anything. I think that'll rely on the American people rather than those in power. Those in power in the past, present and future couldn't save themselves from suffocating in a plastic sandwich...

To save money the Postal Service is considering stopping Saturday service... won't that hurt the economy in the long run (slowing down business correspondence)?
I'd rather see Wednesdays being a no mail day. It usually is a no mail received day for my household. For those that live rural with a post office box, Saturday is the only day they can pick up the mail. With this day taken away, who knows what bills will be sent to collection, because they weren't able to get the mail with the post office closed on Saturday. I only know this...

Do you come to a complete stop when you do a right hand turn at a red traffic light?
Yes, absolutely. We do have right turn on red in my state, but I always come to a complete stop because that's what we're supposed to do. It gives us the chance to make more than just a quick glance and then dart out, possibly missing seeing a car that we'd normally have a chance to see. Sometimes it gets people irritated behind me and I've even been hit from behind by...

What is your favorite all time movie and why is it your favorite?
Toss up between Malcolm X and The Killing Fields. Those are the only two movies that, after I had shut them off, I just sat there in stunned silence for several minutes afterwards. If a movie can do that to me, I consider it top-notch.
Answer to:
Have you ever worn cowboy boots?
I briefly wore a pair of my brothers once back in the early 70's. They had the wicked pointy front part on them and everything. I stopped wearing them when the kids started making fun of me at school the first day I wore them there. Turns out, cowboy boots in a city school system is a recipe for being the butt of jokes.

I married into one that both plays instruments and sings. I can't do either, but I can write lyrics and melodies. It may just be a winning combination someday. I wish I could sing the same note twice in the same spot during the same song, it'd make songwriting a lot easier.

What is your all time favorite Dire Straits song?
Your Latest Trick.
Answer to:
Oldies flashback : The 80s ! What is the first song that comes to your mind when you hear the name "Dire Straits"?
Sultans of Swing. It was the song that introduced me to them. Then of course the last six songs on the "Brothers in Arms" disc just blew me away especially the title track. Mark Knopfler has a distinct guitar and vocal style that I've grown to like, even purchasing one of his solo discs entitled 'Golden Heart'.

X-country skis or snowshoes work well. You can also sit tight and call them in, keeping an eye out behind you as well, for those ones trying to sneak up on you. What is your favorite kind of music?
Currently it's Christian music. Keeps me positive in an increasingly negative world. Next comes classical for pretty much the same reasons, plus it's what I listen to when I write(no lyrics makes for easy concentration on the writing part). But I like most if not all types of music. Every genre has at least one good quality.

I feel the same way no matter who dies. Sad, but now I realize that for one reason or another it was their time to go. Answer to:
How can i find oput when someone is going to be released from jail online

Answer to:
When singers go to a recording studio do the recording person or people edit the singers voice?
Depends on what effect the artist wants attatched to their voice. If it's a gritty song and they want truer sound or realism they may tweak it a little or just leave it be. Some go for the allout tweaking and use the Autotune program to its fullest potential. It's prevelant in Chers 'Do You Believe' as well as some of todays R&B or Rap artists.

Did you know that following too closely is the nations No. 1 cause of traffic accidents? how can this be prevented?
BACK OFF!!! :-)
It'd be nice if everyone followed the rules we learned in drivers education, as they were obviously there for a reason. However it seems that whenever you leave the appropriate car length for the speed you are traveling (1 car length for every 10 MPH's? more in bad weather)between you and the car in front of you, some idiot passes you and puts themselves in...

Did the groundhog see his shadow?
Where I live, it doesn't matter what some groundhog sees or doesn't see. Around here we know we're in for six more weeks of winter. :-) BTW, Smart2 is correct as far as the shadow goes.

Do homeless people comit crimes just to have a warm place to sleep? (in prison)
I personally know of some that do. By the way, it's typically done during the wintertime where I live(Maine). Most however, would rather not spend time in jail, if they can avoid it.
Answer to:
Has anyone had unpleasant side-effects from nicotine patches?
A definite no-no: Don't let them sit in the sun before putting them on. I did years ago and it made me sick to my stomach. Had to rip it off within 10 minutes of putting it on. I think it shoots the whole thing into your system at once. Dang ole package directions mentioned something about that.

Answer to:
Have they written a version of the bible in modern English?
There is probably more than one version for sure, but the one I'm familar with is called, "The Way" an illustrated version of The Living Bible, copyright 1971. How true it is to the actual wording or meaning, I'm not sure. I'll never claim to be a Biblical Scholar. Another one is called the New International Readers Version. Same goes with that one: How true it is...

Who else thinks the birth of the octuplets is obscene?
Even without considering most of the background info of the person involved, I'd have to agree. Nothing like giving birth to a litter of young'uns (edited to include when you can't afford it.)

Answer to:
Why would my ankle crack everytime I walk or move it up and down?
Could it be a prior injury maybe? That's what it is in my case. Jumped down a flight of stairs in elementary school landing on the last step twisting my ankle. Went home never saying a word about it. It didn't heal properly leaving me with a clicking ankle. That's one possible cause and ligament/tendons moving over bone could also be a likely cause.

What does the word 'bible' actually mean
The collection of writings(Old Testament) which became the sacred book of the Jewish religion, or these writings along with the New Testament, which became the sacred book of the Christian religion.
The sacred book of any religion. Ex: The Koran is the Moslem Bible.
That's bible with a capital 'b'.
With a small 'b' I think it's considered to be any list...

What is your favorite Don McLean song?
Certainly not American Pie(I'm trying to cater to him as he has said many times he hates to sing that song anymore). Vincent would have to be my choice. He actually lives sometimes down along the Maine coast, I've worked for him before doing some minor landscaping.

Great!!! another tax cheater..way to go "O"...So what do think about Obama;s cabinet picks now?
Either way, no matter who was elected, we'd run into several of these same problems. Come on now, we're dealing with politicians here, not honest people. It's a give-in that most of the politicians take advantage of loopholes in the system, fail to correctly state their income or avoid being completely honest in other ways. I think no more or less of O's picks than I...

How do people live in places where the temperature is constantly below zero? Do you stay outside much, or do you stay indoors with the central heating? And what type of clothes do you wear inside?
You adjust. When you go outside you bundle up(it's easier to take layers off that you have on, than it is to put on layers you don't have). It's only below zero a few weeks a year total where I live. -52 was the record up North last week in my state I think. Last week at my house it was -25 a few mornings, warming up to the single digits above during the HEAT of the day. The...

Answer to:
Why is it that when Disney brings a movie to DVD, it is only for a limited time? I just saw that on the Little Mermaid commercial, it's going back in the vaults! why?
Marketing gimmicks to increase revenues. They try to create a buyers frenzy. My favorite was back in '99 they released some with the line, "To be put back in the Disney vault and not available again this century." What a hoot!

Did you ever outgrow disney movies?
Nope. Still watch Petes Dragon occasionally(I think that's Disney), cause it's supposedly set in Maine and the Gogans(Villainous family who try to claim adoption of Pete) remind me an awful lot of my in-laws. Well at least the two brothers do. I really shouldn't say that about my M-I-L. She's super nice and my F-I-L's passed on. Jungle Book and Aristocats I watch...

How do you react when someone is driving too closely behind you?
I pull over and let them pass when safe to do so. They're obviously in a hurry, whereas I'm not. I refuse to let anyone push me into going faster. I've taken a life in a car accident and I'll do everything I possibly can to avoid having that happen again. BTW, for those who say they'd slam on the brakes, if it can be proven(not sure exactly how that'd happen,...

Do you think those clocked and caught driving at speeds in excess of 100 mph should automatically have their licences suspended on top of fines? Do you think this might make some not stop?
Sure why not(Autobahn driving may of course be a different story). They're not only risking their own lives, but the lives of innocent people around them. Do I think this might make some not stop? Not stop during the act itself to receive the ticket etc... or not stop commiting the offense? Either way, some will learn others won't. It's been said in my state(as I'm sure...

2 or 3 a night depending on how many different pills I have to take for my back. Freaky dreams too. I also get to talk in my sleep now, something I never did before. Answer to:
Does Oprah Winfrey annoy you?
Yes. It really annoyed me when she went through her spell a few years ago of...Oh, I didn't know y'all did your laundry every week, or I didn't know y'all went grocery shopping every week. She's as much out of touch as the rest of the famous people. Good thing she's not really catering to most americans with her ideas.
