| About me: | I like music, astronomy, philosophy, physics, art, the sciences...anything that stimulates my thoughts and imagination... I have lived only in the U.S., Southeastern Ohio, Cincinnati Ohio, Portsmouth, NH, Louisiana, Texas, Colorado, California, and where I am now. Most of the places I have lived have been brief stays. Work related. I have done a bit of traveling in the US, have been throughout the contiguous 48 with the exception of the NW... I was at the original Woodstock, gone to peace rallies during the Viet Nam war, lost friends to the war, have a distaste for most of war... I've been to many music concerts, rock and roll to opera, been to the theatre, art museums, science museums, the Smithsonian, etc. Have been on the oceans, mountains, valleys, deserts, deep south, Grand Canyon, etc.... I have been an avid reader, have done some writing, have been a religious person, a skeptic, hopeful, loved, lost love, learned that love is not what I thought it was when I was a younger man, I have been through drugs, drinking, living too fast, not living enough, et cetera... I have had a few hobbies, collected things, discarded things, had hope in people, lost hope in people... I don't know of a thought or concept I find elusive, well, this one, I am considered by those who know me as very bright...I sometimes feel less educated than I probably should have been, education is a debate, have a few regrets, have some hopes, don't believe in absolutes, believe in "God" which needs to be understood as what it means to me, not what is published by thousands of others... We don't chew tobacco, never have, i do know some tobacco farmers, there are different kinds of tobacco...i love to look into the sky at night...i don't watch a lot of tv, i do like learning programs, law and order and a good movie...i pee sitting down...sounds dumb...i learned this from women...don't splatter on everything...and besides it is more comfortable and i can read or do a puzzle this way and im ready to poop if it should come around (this stuff happens when you get older)...i don't trust politicians, car salesmen, preachers, or hungry lions, tigers or bears...i like ice cream...I like to think I am therefore I must be? I like to think i have a very good sense of humor...balance...geographic location Esoteric, gregarious, thoughtful, kind, considerate and i will take out the trash but it depends on the volume If you have questions, i have answers, if you have comments, so do I Humor - it is said a 'sense' of humor is important. A sense? Hell, I can sense all kinds of things. How about a profound understanding or appreciation for humor. Humor is very important to me. I could not bear this life without laughter...life is often ridiculous, absurd, sublime, foolishness, one has to realize this and laugh at it, or with it. Intellect - there are so many people who can repeat what they are taught. Some people are impressed by those who can relate what they have learned from a book or a teacher or an institution. What interests me is how a person thinks. Can they think? or are they just a mirror of what they have been taught. Music appreciation - this means an appreciation for what music is, a universal language, a way to speak and hopefully be heard, sharing the music of life There is so much more to the sky than what we see. Many people look up and are moved by the visual, do they know where it comes from, how it comes to us? Why? What time is it? |

H answered your question Who has an opinion on the 'God' particle? The Higgs boson, the supposed key to the unification of theoretical physics.
