- NEW!
Answer to:
I can land frontside 360s, but whenever I try frontside 540s I can't stay balanced on my landings. I end up with my weight too far back. Does anyone else have this problem?
Ok, so I figured out what the problem is after paying for a lesson haha. The problem was in my take off. I was washing my take off and was leaning back before I left the lip. So naturally, when I came back down to the ground, my weight was in the back. Now, working with counter rotation and using my core to spin, I've corrected the problem :)
Answer to:

The previous design was more intuitive. As well, finding what is "New" on your page is too hard.

Do you own any valuable Artwork?
I do. My grandmother gave us a painting a long time ago that we ended up putting in our living room. It hung for years without much attention. A few years ago, a family came to visit us from Hong Kong. When they entered our living room, they went quiet and were staring at the painting. They asked us if it was real, and then went closer to inspect it.
Little did we know, it was painted by...

What would happen if you put a humidifier and a de-humidifier in the same room?
You'd waste electricity ;)
But from my experience, humidifiers do a lot more than dehumidifiers. So in my case, I'd probably end up with a room with above average humidity. But I suppose if you could pair a humidifier and dehumidifier that output and collected at the same rate, you'd end up with a normal room.

How mant copies must a book sell for it to become a bestseller?
I work for a publisher, and just asked someone from my marketing department for you. :) It actually depends. Some best seller lists don't work by how many books are sold, but it is relative to time, and how well it is selling in its category. Sometimes a publisher will just call their book a best seller, because they "think" it's selling well. Overall, it's a pretty...

Do you really save that much money buying a subscription to a magazine vs buying it for "cover price" at a store, or do they charge for shipping too or have other fees that would make both prices nearly the same?
Ya, for the most part, you can get great deals on magazine subscriptions. It's usually like paying for 4-5 and getting a years worth.
I am in the print industry. And really, magazines don't make money from consumers. They make money from advertisers.

Yup, it's called menopause. My mom went crazy for a few years. At the time, I didn't know what menopause was, and I just thought she was going crazy. Luckily, that sort of irrational behavior didn't last forever. :)

Well if we do meet aliens, we won't be discovering them. They will be discovering us. In my opinion, there would be really only two scenarios.
1. The aliens find our world and quickly see that they are vastly superior as far as technology goes. They would find it immoral to interfere with us, and since we probably have nothing to offer them, they would probably just leave us alone.

I live in Toronto Canada. I love snowboarding, but contrary to popular belief, we only have snow on the ground 3 months a year. So I try and go as often as I can which means once a week. 12 days total.
Once I got married and had a kid, I can't always go. I have started to teach my daughter how to ski, and my wife to snowboard. So the days that I'm on the hill teaching, I'm...

How old do you have to be to publish a book? (I'm underage)
Are you talking about publishing or authoring? It is a lot easier to write and go to a publisher than it is to publish a book. That being said, there is no age restriction on either. Authoring relies on skill, and publishing relies on skill and money.

If you just landed in China, you would probably be awake at night and you would probably sleep during the day because that is what schedule you used to.
So to answer your question, it feels like fatigue or alertness, just at bizarre hours in relation to your location.

I'd probably ask if I could buy him a beer. He seems like a really cool guy. That being said, I'd probably have a beer with Bush too. I didn't agree with his policies as a President, but he did still seem to be a decent guy that was just a little over his head.

I was on the bus and a girl asked me what time it was. She was obviously embarrassed when I looked down to see she was wearing a watch. I told her the time anyway. How do you whistle with your mouth open?
I can actually whistle with my mouth open. When I was younger I would imitate the gopher on Winnie the Pooh. He would whistle when ever he said a word with an "S" in it. I can whistle songs and everything. It's a great way to freak people out because you can whistle and people will look at you, see your mouth, then continue to try and find out where it's coming from. haha

That's a real conundrum isn't it. I think I'd feel guilty for the rest of my life though. I don't think we are the ones you should be asking for permission though. But then again, that's the problem right? It's not like your wife is gunna say yes. You're probably the only one who can really answer that one.

With a new generation growing up readily communicating via the internet, is a universally available broadband connection more important than a thriving motor car industry?
Broadband connections are already fairly accessible. But the need transportation will always be important. Think of all the people that live in the suburbs. How will they get to work? The majority of North American jobs cannot be done from home. Much of the economy is still based on service, be it food or commercial goods. Without cars, how will people go and buy things? Or have them delivered?...

umm, unless you are in an open relationship, I'd have to say tell him. But if my girlfriend asked me if it was ok that she had sex with another guy I'd say no. Regardless of his situation.
And if you do plan to keep this a secret and cheat, which I find to be a disgusting act, doing the deed in public not keep it a secret for long. You'll probably end up on youtube.

Take time out of your day to do something for yourself. Something that you enjoy.

Or you could try meditation. It helps you escape from day to day stress, and helps your overall concentration.

In soldering of metals, flux serves a threefold purpose: it removes oxidation from the surfaces to be soldered, it seals out air thus preventing further oxidation, and by facilitating amalgamation improves wetting characteristics of the liquid solder. Flux is corrosive, so the parts have to be cleaned with a damp sponge or other absorbent material after soldering to prevent damage.

I recently jumped down 8 stairs (don't ask) and landed heel first onto tile. The heel I landed on took the full force of the fall, rolled outwards, then popped. I was NOT wearing shoes either. That was 4 days ago and it still hurts like hell. Any ideas?
First off, go see a doctor.
I assume it is swollen as all hell and probably pretty discoloured. Can you walk on it? You probably sprained it or maybe it's broken. ... you know what. It doesn't matter what I say, or anyone else. How can anyone diagnose what has happened to you without seeing it.
Go see a doctor.
All you can do right now is stay off it, Ice for 15 minutes, then...

Have you ever wondered if you "have what it takes"? If you were confronted by something really challenging, could you handle it or would you wimp out? Would you prevail, barely manage to hang on or be destroyed?
I always wondered what would happen if I had to defend myself or my family. I decided that I would either freeze up for get my ass kicked. Of course I found this unacceptable.
So I signed up for Kung Fu and am getting more confident with my skills.

Am I the only person who can't stand TV?
I used to have HD cable. Then I realized there was nothing good to watch despite the plethora of channels. And it cost too much.
Then I went to basic cable (In Canada that's like 30 channels.) Then I realized there was nothing on TV.
Then I cut my cable.
That was a year ago. I don't miss TV.

Guys: How often do you work out? Do you go to the gym, or work out some other way? Do you wish you could go more or are you on a good schedule with it?
I goto Kung Fu once a week for 2 hours. And in the same gym I play airsoft. It's kinda like paintball. That lasts about 3 hours. So 5 consecutive hours of activity. Unfortunately that is all the exercise I get during the week.
During the winter I snowboard once or twice a week.
I find it hard to stay on a workout schedule.

This used to be an easy question for me to answer. Real. But then I came to consider other types of "fake" breasts. Women that get implants after a mastectomy would, for me, fall into a different category. As well, women who get breast reductions. In both cases, I would probably prefer fake.

Get one of his friends that you trust, and have them ask.
The trick will be to find someone that he is comfortable speaking with. Which means it's probably going to have to be a guy. If it's a girl asking, he will see through the mask. The other trick is to find a guy that won't spill the beans.

I'm a mom of 4 & have (obviously) lost my girlish figure. I'm not overweight, but would like to lose about 10 pounds & tone up my stomach, inner thighs, butt & lose my love handles. Anyone know a good workout without equipment? It's just me & the floor.
The quickest way of loosing the weight is a two parter. Start by really taking a look at what you eat. Try to eat until you are satisfied and not full. My wife, also a mom, is doing the Weight Watchers thing right now. She lost 15 lbs in 2 months.
The second part is to exercise. Go on some long walks if you haven't exercised in a while. Cardio is a great way of dropping pounds. Set a...

Flavoured water or plain? Why?
Isn't flavored water called juice? ;)
I like lemon in my water sometimes. It seems to do a better job of quenching my thrust.

What is the most pain you've ever been in?
I have broken my arm, ribs and collar bone, which is supposed to be the worst. But the one that actually hurt the most was when I dislocated my shoulder. It was worse than all the others because it hurt even when I wasn't moving the specific area. With all the broken bones it was fine just as long as I wasn't moving. But with the dislocation it just felt horrible the entire time.
Answer to:
Im 15 and whenever im cold or its cold in the house my knees start to hurt and then the pain travel from my knee through my shin to my ankle and my knees just lock up is this serious what should i do?
First off, you should tell your family doctor the next time you see him/her.
I used to get pain in my arms and legs when it got cold outside, but never to the point where my joints locked up. It went away with time. Have you ever broken a bone in your legs? That might explain it.

For Guys: if you are getting ready to have sex with a girl and you guys have been out a couple times and she tells you she is a virgin and still wants to have sex.... is that a turn on ...or are you thinking why me?
It really depends on the guy. Most guys I know don't like the idea of their girlfriends having lots or any ex-boyfriends. So the idea of a virgin is appealing.
On the other hand, some guys don't like to have to teach girls in bed.
Being married, and if I were to treat this as a hypothetical question, I would say that it would be a turn on. But, you know what they say. The...

When I insert the batteries into my wireless controler it begins to viberate. Why?
Is it the same type of vibrations that you would get with the rumble pack inside of the controller? If it is still under warranty you should try and return it.
Answer to:
Do you find Picasso's work astonishing or weird?
I have studied art history and went to art college, but for graphic design. I will go with weird. I never really found the appeal in cubism or surrealism. I'll give him points for going against the grain of what was popular in his time, but in the end, his work never stood out for me.

Sex or chocolate?
I don't know why this question comes up all the time. What am I missing. Chocolate is food. I don't feel anything when I eat chocolate. Sometimes it makes me cough... thats about it.
I choose sex. FTW.

All the people that have a PS3, is it worth it?
I have a 360 and a PS3. As far as gaming goes, I play my 360 more often. I haven't even tried gaming online with the PS3 actually. Mostly because all my buddies have 360 and not PS3. I do use the PS3 as my DVD and BluRay player though. I love being able to watch movies in HD. Not to mention, if you are using HDMI, you can upscale your old DVDs to a higher resolution.
I would say get...

If I just bought a brand new snowboard, do I still need to get it sharpened and waxed? Or should I not worry about that until after I use it?
I would recommend waxing a new board. You don't know how long it has been sitting on the shelf. The wax won't be very fresh. Your edges will be fine, but you will find that a fresh coat of wax will give you some extra speed.
I wax my board after every other day of riding. Don't forget, not all wax is the same. Your board will come with a generic wax. Different temperatures...

Which would be easier for a beginner snowboarding or Skiing?
I skied for 10 years and now currently snowboard and have been for 13 years. I found skiing to be easier at first, but harder to master. I found snowboarding hard at first and a lot easier to master. The learning curve on a snowboard is much steeper.

What do you think is the most boring sport?
Baseball. I worked at the Skydome (Toronto Blue Jays) for 3 years as a food vendor. I don't know why people watch it. It's kinda fun to play, but not watch. You end up watching while you are playing most of the time anyway unless you are the pitcher or catcher.

My 3.5 year old daughter often wakes up in the middle of the night crying uncontrollably. The only thing she will respond to with a "no", is when I ask her if she wants me to leave. My wife and I feel terrible that this happens so often. How can we help?
As I am looking further into this, I think she might be having night terrors.

I just bought a 5150 snowboard and im new at snowboarding its 159" is that a good board for a 6'3" snowboarder?
I might be a little small for you. I am 5'10" and ride a 159. The reason for having smaller boards is to be able to be quicker on your feet for tricks. But you sacrifice speed and stability. Although it might be a little small, I don't think you will find it too bad. If you are finding that you are having trouble, try widening your stance. I am thinking about buying a 154!
Answer to:
If theres a cute girl in your class how do u no if she like you.
I assume "like" you as in "I want to date you" right? The most simple way is to really look at the way she responds to you. When you are speaking with her, does she maintain eye contact and seem interested? Think of it from your perspective. If she was talking to you, I assume you would be hanging off every word.
The most simple way of finding out is to ask her out to...

My ps3 wont show a picture using the av cables, but i get sound. Help?
Have you run the video set up? Make sure your settings are set to the correct cable. If you are using VGA cables with the HDMI setting, you will run into troubles. Also make sure your TV is set to the correct input channel. Try turning on your TV and then cycling through all your input channels, pausing a while at each channel to see if they work.
Answer to:
I am buying a ps3 what accessories are important to get?
It depends if you have an HD tv. When I got my PS3 it did not come with HDMI or Component cables. Without those cables you can only get 480p rather than 720 or 1080. But if you don't have an HD tv, you are fine with the cables that are supplied.
Also if you have a home theater, you might want to look into optical audio cables. I have a 5.1 system that only worked after buying an...
