Even if the speeds were the same (leaving and re-entering the atmosphere), I would say not. As we leave the atmosphere it gets thinner and thinner as opposed to reentry - it gets denser and denser.

Murder and Theft are ethically wrong, but are they logically wrong?

Depending on who gets murdered, the world could be a better place. Theft may help equalize the distrubution of wealth. The the 'logical' answer is 'no'.

Lincoln...he did something very unpopular (at the time) but stuck to his convictions...a very unpolitical move for a politician.
