I have a 1997 Dodge Intrepid 3.3L and there's a thunking sound coming from under the air filter box. The only thing I can think of is the black canister/cylinder under the airbox, next to the ECM(or some other grey control box there) The engine runs fine.
It's a steady hollow thunking sound, not very loud, but very noticeable with the hood open. If you place your hand in the base of the airbox with the filter removed, and the intake hose off, you can feel the thunk. This is not coming from the engine at all.

if you used a known good hdd, and a known good IDE cable, it is definatly possible that the IDE I/O controller has failed, requiring MB replacement. Make sure jumper settings are correct(doesnt sound like the issue but never hurts to check).

I would speak to a lawyer, they might be able to find a loophole, or the best course of action against eviction. Now they'll charge alot, but you might have a good chance of dodging the eviction. lots of water, lots, and lots. Also some green tea with ginger(not powdered), echinacea, and chamomile flowers. It's my all cure remedy.
