What do you do if a young child has a bad dream?
Definitely talk about it that night and then again the next day. Many times they won't even remember they had the bad dream. Or they won't remember the "topic", just that it was "bad" or "scary".
My son used to have night terrors and we would simply take him to our room, turn on cartoons and let him watch them until he came out of it. Then he...

Can shopping become an uncontrollable obsession? What are the remedies to treat a shopaholic?
Mom, is that you? ;)
I think it definitely can be an uncontrollable obsession. And, I can easily be too spendy.
I have to really work at it because I'm an impulsive shopper/buyer. One thing that helps me is to think of where I will store it. I have no room to store ANYTHING, so that can help hold me back.

How does someone get a yeast infection? Is it limited to a certain age group? What are symptoms?
You can get a yeast infection many different ways - it's from bacteria entering the vaginal area.
Any age and gender can get it - even children. I'm not sure about what symtoms are experienced by men, though.
You will know it if you get it because you will experience extreme itching. VERY uncomfortable. Google it for details.

And DO NOT get into another relationship for awhile. :)

Do you think it was worth it, to spend the money you did on your wedding?
Probably not....but it was a wonderful day and I felt like a princess and haven't felt that way since....
So, although I would probably not ever spend that kind of money again (and I think mine was pretty inexpensive as weddings go), it was worth it at the time.

I'm so, so sorry you're going through this. This is a very hard place to be, but remember that there are other opportunities out there and some day you may just be glad this happened because you'll find an even deeper love.

Answer to:
According to the bible what do Christians think that we are allowed to do an a Sunday?
Actually, the Sabbath was on Saturday (the 7th day of the week), not Sunday. The Sabbath was changed to Sunday by the Roman Catholic Church. So, technically, the Sabbath should be honored on Saturday.
As far as the Sabbath goes, we are to rest. In fact, we aren't even suppose to make meals - we are supposed to make meals ahead of that day so that the day can really be of rest.

This story makes me sick. These girls have no idea what they've gotten themselves into. They're not going to all be together for the rest of their lives....they will all be going at this alone at some point. They were very selfish in this decision. I feel saddest for these unborn babies.

What can really be learned from Literature?

It's not tacky at all. In fact, some people in our area do it that way on purpose - to make sure baby arrives healthy and with no complications. Plus, people can buy specific for the gender and everyone gets to see this bundle of joy!

We are planning an early July trip to Michigan, probably the area of Holland or St. Joseph. Can anyone give me pointers on hot spots as far as what to do, where to stay, where to eat, etc? Looking to go to a beach but also want kid friendly activities.

Also, Grand Haven is a must see. Darling little town north of Holland and it has a great pier the kids will love to walk out on and nice beach, all on Lake Michigan. I love Grand Haven!

That's a great question. I hate mind games and yet sometimes, actually rarely, I will pout - which is a total mind game and usually makes me more miserable than the one I'm pouting with (ususally my poor husband!).
I used to date a guy who played mind games with me constantly and it was such an emotional roller-coaster. Then I met my husband and he was a "what you see is...

Why would you need to? Just refrain if you can. I can't imagine the desire for that when a baby is so precious. Sure, it probably won't do any damage, but I didn't dare risk anything when I was preggers.

Let him sleep on your chest. I did this with my second child and he's so snuggly now event at age 9! Just lay on your back in bed and place a pillow uder each of your arms so you won't roll over. This was a very enjoyable time with my son and I miss it still!

What do you think of people who wear a lot of jewelry?
I love jewelry, but you have to balance, I think. Like if you're wearing a necklace, don't wear a pin too. And one ring per hand, thank you very much. I hate to see several rings on each hand. I think it looks cheap. Several bracelets are fine with me.

What do you think of the idea of the new program, "The Moment of Truth" where they ask you personal questions that could be life changing (+ or -) while you're hooked up to a lie detector?
I have seen portions of this show several times now and I have to say that although it's interesting, it is ruining people's lives! The people that go on the show must be desperate for money because in the process they usually end up with marriage and relationship problems - major ones!
We have sunk to a new low in our country and this show proves it!

I have done a little research on this and here's what I believe:
You have to have purposefully blasphemed the Holy Spirit and most of us have not done that. The reason is that in order to blaspheme the Holy Spirit you must purposefully and very deliberately make fun of Him or ridicule his actions and or presence.

Attitude is really everything, I think. Being pleasant rubs off and is contagious. I chose every day to come to work with a good attitude and it really does help. When you're an old crab, you're the one that ends up feeling miserable and others around you think a lot less of you too.

YES!!! It's crazy and no one is really talking about it like we used to!!!! 3 years ago people would be ranting and raving and today it's like "oh well, whatcha gonna do?"
They raised prices ever so slightly in a relatively short amount of time and people just keep paying...

If I was given a list of stuff to do, not that I have a list of stuff to do, what I was wondering was, if I don't do them, will I disappear or something? Will body parts fall off? Could I wind up in limbo? I'm asking for a friend.
I make lists occasionally - usually when I feel disorganized or overwhelmed with too much chaos. They work for me.
However, I'm not obsessed about them either.
They say that crossing stuff off your list once it's accomplished actually releases endorphins and that's good for your brain....so sometimes I put stuff on my list that I just got done doing, so I can cross it off!...

Answer to:
Are you morally or ethically responsible to tell someone they are being cheated on BEFORE they get married to the cheater.
I would sit down and share the information as tenderly as possible.
Long ago I was dating a guy for a couple years who was cheating on me. One of my good friends finally sat me down and filled me in. It was horrible at the time, but I'm so glad she loved me enough to tell me the truth.
Years later, and acutally the week before my wedding, he called to tell me he was sorry he did...

My neighbor beat his son with a curtain rod for spilling milk on the floor, even though the poor kid apologized to him immediately and agreed to clean the mess. Was it right of my neighbor to do that?
There is never time when it's okay to hit a child with a curtain rod. It's completely wrong. It makes me sick....

I think I might be pregnant, I think it still might be a bit too early to take a test, my period is only two days late. However, i have other symptoms. Should I make him go with me to the doctors to get the test or not
Just take him to a drug store and test yourself first. It might be a false alarm and a simple home test can tell you anyway.
good luck!

Answer to:
Do you really believe that prostitutes are happy with what they're doing? Do you treat them as less than human? If so, why?
I don't, for a minute, think they are remotely happy. They do it because of money - just like exotic dancers. But, I think it's probably a pretty shallow, lonely life really.
I don't know any, but if I did, I wouldn't treat them any differently than anyone else. If anything, I would try to help them out of that world.

My labrador puppy seems to think he's the boss in the house, and ignores me when he's being naughty. How do let him know I am the Alpha in the pack, and that he needs to listen and obey me?
We are in a training class with our dog right now. Here's a couple tips:
1. Feed him by hand. Don't let him eat at free will - this will show him that you're in control. (It's a pain, I know!)
2. Put his toys away and YOU pick out what he'll play with and when. Let him see you selecting everything and taking away too. Only have out one or two items at a...

What is somthing good that happend to you today?
My son went to bed last night mad at me (he's 11). When he got up he continued the pouting. As I helped him with his coat and gloves (it's only 18 here today), I hugged him and told him how much I loved him even though he was mad at me. He left and I locked the deadbolt behind him...then he knocked...I opened the door and he flung his arms around my neck and told me he was sorry.

How can i stop my dog from barking, when i leave her outside to pee and poop, without me having to stand beside her?
I have a suggestion - we just adopted a dog and were having the same problem. She'd run out of the house barking every morning. Here's what we did and it worked instantly!
We took a thick rubber band (like the ones that come on broccoli) and put it around her snout - she had it off in 10 seconds and it wasn't hurting her, but she did NOT like the feel of it at all. That was...

I am considering a 2 1/2 year old dog who is not crate trained. I work several hours a day, and I am not comfortable not putting the dog into a crate until I know him better. What do you think?
We just adopted a dog from an animal shelter who is 3 years old - we knew absolutely NOTHING about her. We have never been "crate" people, so we left her to roam in the house for short periods of time at first. She did great and eventually (within a few days), she was home free and has done great ever since. Try it just for an hour or two to test her. Leave a good chew toy or bone...

Sad, but I think true.....

Im on BC. I got my pd. a week early. I had sex and quit bleeding directly after. Since then I have been constipated, getting sick in the morning, moody, craving different foods, getting a rash, and have a sore like ache in my lower stomache, Pregnant?
I highly doubt you are pregnant if you had sex at the end of your cycle. Probably just some other illness. But, to be sure, you can get a test. How old are you? Your age and regularity have a lot to do with your symptoms.

We just rescued a dog - rottweiler mix. She is wonderful except she attacked our neighbor's dog the other day. Can you please advise us on how to train her? I suggested that we muzzle her and let her meet new dogs she will frequently see around us.
In response to "Kill her" : Actually we were told my the rescue league that Kali is an Australian Shepherd mix - not Rottweiler...but I think she looks like a Rottie. She is one of the most gentle dogs I've ever encountered. Just doesn't like little dogs, I guess. This little dog charged at her and that's why I think Kali lost it. She has been at Petco amongst...
