How do I fight zombies?
Organize before they rise! always have a zombie escape plan and a nice sharp or blunt weapon, with which to remove the head or destroy the brain, above your door or near at hand. plan ahead. know where to hole up. you wanna be somewhere familiar, and know where the exits are, that is secure.
is it sad that i actually have a plan?

Last night I went through a little "rough patch" (as my grandma used to say). What do you do to get through the tough moments?
I guess it depends on the moment! But, I have always found music comforting. the last time i was upset, i turned on an upbeat song and sang at the top of my lungs. (Mr. Brightside by The Killers) The third time through or so, i felt better. maybe it's not the deepest answer in the world, but sometimes it's the little things that help!

If you believe that Joseph Smith authored the Book of Mormon himself, then don't you also believe the Joseph Smith was one of the most gifted literary geniuses in human history?
No. And why would he be? It doesn't take that much talent or know how to tell a story. Take Tolkien, for example. He knew next to nothing about writing when he wrote the Hobbit. He just chose to author the type of story he wanted to read. And that expanded until he had created a world with history and languages. Does that make him a literary genius?
What about Shakespeare, who changed...

Answer to:
Did you find the end to the last Harry Potter book to be a bit anticlimactic and too idealistic? Other thoughts?
I was angry with the book! She ended up killing off all my favorite characters except george, half of the book the trio was camping out and not doing much, and the end felt ruched to me! it was like she just wanted the book to be over with! I was incredibly dissapointed!

Author JK Rowling could be tempted to give in to her "weak moments" and write an eighth Harry Potter book. What are your thoughts?
No, she shouldn't. Now, If she wanted to write a prequel, of sorts, and give us more insight to the Marauders and such, that would be okay by me!

Anyone else annoyed by the Lupin/Tonks story line? Did anyone find it out of place and pointless?
I hated it! Remus was one of my favorite charaters, and frankly, I didn't like Tonks at all! And since remus was such a tragic character, it was pretty obvious what was going to happen to him by the end of the series, so that tangent of having him get married was a pointless dead end!

I'm writing a novel and want to know the best way to keep from rushing. At the moment I feel as if I'm going good. But dialog I feel is short and maybe to much to the point. Little casual conversation. Anyone have any pointers on how to avoid this?
Read it out loud to yourself. If is sounds like a natural conversation, then your dialogue is fine. If when you read it, you feel like you're missing a bit, or you pretending to be the character might add a it more, then do so!

Where did the phrase 'dead as a doornail' come from?
DEAD AS A DOORNAIL - "Since ordinary nails aren't used in making doors, perhaps the 'nail' in this phrase, which can be traced all the way back to 1350, was a small metal plate nailed on a door that visitors pounded with the knockers attached to it when announcing their arrival. Life would eventually be pounded out of the 'nail' in that way. Then again the...
