Could you deal without the huge supermarkets we have now and go back to the little individual bakers, grocers, butchers, we used to have? I do like my supermarket, but i always go to my local butcher for meat, the bakery for fresh bread,and the deli for cheese,. its just everything else i get from the suipermarket, plus it is quite expensive to do it that way and when you have a budget you need to stick to its sometimes easier and cheaper to go to the supermarket rather than butchers, bakers and delis etc

I am making a cake and do not have any "vanilla". Is there something that can be substituted or will it affect the taste if I go ahead and bake it w/o vanilla? I bake cakes on a regular basis and alot of the time i forget to put the vanilla in, if its only asking for a teaspoon, this will have no affect on the cake so you can make it without, as when i forget to put the vanilla in, the cake still tastes great your only going to cover it in frosting anyway so makes not alot of difference!

I've heard (on AB, I think) that's it's bad to leave conditioner on your hair for too long, that it strips the proteins from your hair, or something. Anyone ever hear of this or know if it's true? Generally you should only leave it on for the specified time, as it can strip your hair of its goodness, you hair might feel lovely and soft after you have dried and styled it but you will find it gets greasy alot quicker, i only ever leave my conditioner on for a few minutes enough time to soak in and calm it down, then i do hot oil treatments every 2 weeks.

I am supposed to take a thyroid pill every day, but far too often I forget. If you have a medication you take daily, how to you remember to do so?
