Why is it that when you ask a question, only a few people answer, but when someone else asks a very similar question, they get loads of answers? I think it has a lot ot do with when you ask, what day and what time. There are times when there are a lot of people here and sometimes not much is going on. I don't think it has anything to do with being in some in crowd as I'm not in any and I"ve done very well with some of my questions and sometimes not so good. Asking on weekends has not worked well for me.

We are supposed to give tax cuts to corporations so they can create jobs for our people. Why is it then that they consistently farm work out to other countries because labor is much cheaper and it makes their bottom line better? Tax breaks never work that way for the large companies that really matter. It might work for little companies but since they are being devoured or failing, they don't matter anyway. How about giving one million dollars to each family instead of billions to these companies. I'm sure most people wouldn't be spending this money overseas, they would be buying things in the U.S.A.

My husband doesn't want us to have Santa involved in our Christmas ever, he was raised to think it was pagan and Santa took away from Jesus. I had Santa and I loved it and I want my kids to have him. We both feel strongly. What should I do? I think it's wrong to tell children lies. A story is one thing, but to pretend something is real is different. There is no Santa. I don't see children being harmed by not having Santa. And I don't think that children should be told that Dec. 25th is Jesus' birth date either since it's not. That is a lie as well. I'm all for being honest and postive with children.

Almost every day I cook our meals from scratch. Almost every day I make a big mess..both sinks full of pots/pans/dishes/flatware, whatever. Every single day Jim cleans up my mess, straightens up, loads the dishwasher. How does your partner help you? We switch. Whoever cooks doesn't have to clean and the other one does it. And we don't take advantage of that either. I'm not going to make a huge mess unless he says it's okay and he's up to it. I take care of inside the house and he does outside. But we will each help the other out as needed. Say the word and we're there.
