What is your opinion about people that try to make themselves look more intelligent by using abbreviations and codes that have something to do with their work, even though they know you'll have no clue what they're talking about. They'd look more intelligent if they said what the acronym stood for and then stuck the abbreviation in parenthesis right after it, which makes practical sense because it saves space and the reader can reference back to it.
