Answer to:
What did Jesus said?
This is my favorite of all the things Jesus said. It is from Matthew 4, in the New King James version:
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
45 that you may be...

In the past thousand years, how many times has a Muslim nation attacked a Christian nation? And what about Christian nations attacking a Muslim nations?
This response is not a response, it is a request from the guy who is asking this question.
Please do not respond if you do not have actual numbers or even educated estimates. While I appreciate the history lesson from "Godfather Part II," I can look up history in a LOT of places on the web as I have access to the internet. I am asking "how many times."
However I...

Answer to:
Which religion is "right"?
This is a bit off to the side, but it has to do with the overall gist of the question.
In order to understand each religion, it's important to get as close as you can to what the founder of that religion was trying to convey.
For example, to know Christianity, you should study Jesus's teachings and actions, rather than the interpretations, comments, beliefs and such spread by...

What causes someone to be a child molester? Why would someone do that to a child?
I used to work in tech support at a computer company, and a psychiatrist who specialized in treating them told me (as we were waiting the 45 minutes it took to re-install Windows 95) that there are two basic types.
If I remember correctly, one type wants to hurt children, and the other type can only develop romantic/sexual feelings for children, not adults.
We didn't get into why some...

How much does a million dollars in $100 dollar bills weigh?
Ten one-dollar bills weighed together equal 9.83 grams, so one dollar bill is .983 grams. Hundred-dollar bills weigh exactly the same as one-dollar bills.
One million dollars in hundred-dollar bills would be ten thousand hundreds, or 9830 grams, which is 9.83 kilograms.
That's just under 21 pounds and eleven ounces. Rounding off, you could say that a million dollars in hundred-dollar...

What is the best selling fictional book of all time?
I'd suspect that "Journey to the West" is the bestselling work of fiction. It has been very popular in Asia for over five hundred years and is still gaining popularity throughout the world.
It was written in the 1590s during the Ming Dynasty in China, and has remained extremely popular in China ever since. In the last century, it became increasingly popular in many other...

How do Buddhists regard Jesus Christ?
There is no one way that all Buddhists regard Jesus Christ, because the teachings of Buddha do not say that you should or should not, can or cannot worship a god or follow another religion. Everyone who follows those teachings is left to his or her self to decide how to regard Jesus Christ or anyone else.
Buddha didn't teach about religions, he taught awareness and how through...

Answer to:
Why would a guy rather remain promiscuous than be with his "dream girl"?
The direct answer to your question would be "It depends on the guy," but that doesn't really help so I'll give you possibilities.
I can think of a lot of possible reasons right off the bat, here are just a few:
1. Maybe he said she's his dream girl but he was lying.
2. Maybe she was his dream girl until she became his, then with no challenge he lost interest....

What can I do to improve the recall of my dreams?
I have found that taking potent B-complex vitamins (which you can find in drugstores and most supermarkets) makes me remember my dreams much more vividly. At least one friend has told me the same thing. Maybe it will work for you as well. Also some people have supposedly had vivid dreams after eating very spicy food at dinner, though that has never worked for me.

Why is Star Trek so popular?
There are many reasons for the popularity of the original Star Trek series and some others have already expounded on some of them. I would like to add what I believe is an important factor: classic characters.
All of us can relate in some way to Kirk, Spock and McCoy. Spock speaks to our intelligence, McCoy represents our emotional side, and Kirk demonstrates our will or ego.

Whenever I see someone get injured (on TV or otherwise) I get a sharp pain in my chest that lasts for about a second, are these sympathy pains? What exactly are they and what causes them?
It sounds like one of the muscles in your chest might tend to spasm briefly when it is contracted suddenly. Watching anything that affects our emotions does cause a physiological response which includes the tensing and/or relaxing of certain muscles. I would advise checking with a doctor just to make sure it isn't anything serious.

Why does it matter which religion you are? Aren't most of them about being the best person you can, and helping others to the best of your ability?
While it is true that most religions advise being helpful and loving and not doing harm, it matters how you act on your beliefs. If a certain religion can help or hinder you in making wise judgments about how to help others, then it does matter which religion you are.
Some religions say that theirs is the only real religion, others do not. I don't know if there is one "true"...

Can you train a cow to take a saddle and be ridden like a horse?
I remember seeing on some TV show (I think "Real People") that someone had indeed done just that. It was funny to watch her riding the cow around barrels, because it wasn't something I would have expected to see. I don't think there was any indication that this cow was special, so apparently cows can be trained in much the same way as horses.

When a fish is caught on a hook, does it feel pain?
In order to answer that question, I think it is helpful to look at what pain is and why it exists.
Pain is a survival mechanism because it teaches us to avoid things that can hurt us, thereby increasing our chances for survival. In order for pain to work, it must feel bad (hurt) and it must hurt bad enough that we remember it (otherwise we won't remember it the next time we...

I have been dating my divorced boyfriend for 5 months. He said I'd meet his mother and father and his 2 kids after 6 months but now wants to wait a year. Should I be concerned?
Six months seems like a long time do date someone without introducing them to your family, but it depends on how he feels about you and what kind of relationship you have. If he is seriously thinking about a long-term committment, I don't think he would have put the introduction off another six months.
Is there anything that might be making him have doubts about your long-term...

My ex keeps bringing different boyfriends home to meet our two-year-old son. How will this affect him?
It depends a lot on how they are presented to him and whether or not his mom spends enough quality time with him. If she spends lots of time with the boy and takes good care of him, I wouldn't worry about her boyfriends. It would also be a big help to have a reliable male influence in his life, so spend as much time with him as you can so that he understands that while these other guys...

What is Lynyrd Skynyrd talking about in the song,"That smell"? Is it related to heroin use?
He is talking about the smell of death surrounding heavy users of hardcore drugs, probably in both a literal and metaphorical sense.
People who use very large amounts of alcohol and hard drugs regularly may not be able to or not care to perform the daily tasks that most of us do, such as keeping oneself clean. Heavy addiction is often associated with poor hygiene, bad breath and pungent...

In the song "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" by Meatloaf, what is "that"?
It depends on where in the song you are. In the first verse, it seems to be that he is saying what he won't do is "forget the way you feel right now."
"I would do anything for love, I'll never lie to you and thats a fact
But I'll never forget the way you feel right now, oh no, no way

Assuming you have only one user account on the system: In order to get at the data, you will probably have to disconnect the hard drive from this computer and make it a secondary drive on another computer that is running Windows XP. You should then be able to access the data, drag-and-drop it to another drive or a backup system, then you will most likely have to format the hard drive and...

Contrary to popular belief, most cases of stomach/intestinal distress with cramps, vomiting and/or diarrhea that last less than 24 hours are not stomach flu but food poisoning. Actual stomach flu can from last two or three days up to a week.

What is the lightest wood?
From the previous answers by notmrjohn and drublic, both of whom provide some good information, it depends on how you define "wood." What is the difference between really liking and loving a person?
Love is a natural high. When you are in love, your brain releases chemicals that cause you to feel euphoria, as well as giving you energy, making you more alert and other things. (Certain street drugs cause these same chemicals to be released and that's why they are so addictive... unfortunately street drugs have very nasty and cumulative side effects.)
When you make a plan to meet...

Why do some men (and women) wolf whistle and shout at someone they find attractive? What do they hope to gain by doing this?
When guys in a group do this, they are relating their manliness to each other. It's more a sort of bonding ritual than anything else. They probably don't mean any harm, even though it is rude and inconsiderate.
As a man, I think I would really enjoy getting shouts and whistles from women who thought I was attractive if they were sincere. I imagine a lot of guys feel this way,...

Some people insist that American cars are mechanically inferior to Japanese cars. Others have told me that this used to be the case, but is no longer so. Who's right?
That depends on what you mean by "mechanically inferior." As far as reliability, Japanese cars (especially Toyota and Honda) are still far better on average than American cars, but the gap has been narrowing for years. The Japanese cars are improving in reliability, but the American cars are improving a little faster. American cars are still significantly behind the Japanese, but...

How effective and practical is Jeet Kune Do?

Bruce Lee in his prime was arguably the greatest fighter who ever lived, but pit a weakling with a gun vs. Bruce with no weapon and Bruce would lose.
"The deadliest person" is so relative it is meaningless. The situation determines deadliness as much as anything.
If you mean how do you become the best fighter in the world, the answer is as simple as its execution is difficult....

Probably the most commonly-eaten nonmeat food which is poisonous when eaten raw is cassava, a starchy root similar to a potato. As many as 300 million people in the tropics consume cassava daily, but they are careful to dook it first. It doesn't take much cassava to kill you if you eat it raw.
Fun fact: Cassava has the greatest yield of starch per acre of any crop in the...

Why does bread always fall buttered side down?
When dropped from a certain height (about table or counter height) it will usually fall butter side down because, as twinkle mentioned, bread has time to flip only once before it hits the floor. If you hold a piece of bread flat with the butter side up about a meter from the floor and drop it without tilting it, it will pretty much always hit butter side up; but in real life one side of the...

Assuming that you include all plant matter under the heading of either fruit or vegetable, and also assuming that you are excluding foods made from fruits and vegetables, fish from a clean environment is probably the healthiest thing. The questioner needs to be more specific. There are several branches of Chinese cooking (Mandarin, Schezuan and Cantonese for example) and each of the branches has hundreds of popular dishes as well as thousands of variations and different ways of preparing those dishes. They cover the entire nutritional spectrum. There is also "Americanized" Chinese food which bears only a passing...

There is really no way to answer this accurately without more information and/or diagnostics. First, disconnect all IDE, SATA and SCSI drives and peripherals. If nothing shows up, it might be the...

It sounds like your problem has less to do with age difference and more to do with communication. If you wonder why he's with you, your best bet would be to ask him. The same goes for taking you seriously. Since you apparently have not asked him these things, there must be something stopping you from doing so. What is that thing stopping you? What home remedies or herbs will help alleviate extreme body odor?
It depends on the source of the odor. Certain foods can cause very strong body odor. Onions, garlic, and very strong spices such as cumin and turmeric can cause a strong odor to come from the skin and lungs. Sharply reducing intake of these foods will within a day or two cause a marked decrease in body odor caused by them.
