I have great ideas for movies, how can I get them to directors and film makers?
There is a publication entitled, "Call Sheet" sold at Samuel French stores (at least in LA). In that book are agents for everything. Call or write a few and see if any of them will give you guidance. You should be able to get some input . . . they don't have much else to do these days. Production just beginning to pick up in LA.

Which do you believe is more true, society would sacrifice a dozen innocent people to death rather than have 1 murderer go free, or allow 3 murderers to go free rather than kill a single innocent person?
In America, the right wing claim to be so religious yet they are the most focused on the death penalty. Personally, I'd vote for no death penalty. Doesn't mean the only option is to let the convicted go free. Not a reasonable choice in this question.

Actually, Sara Palin has become an entertainer along with Glen Beck, Bill O'Reiley and Rush Limbough (excuse spelling on these names). Why anyone would take seriously what she says is beyond me. Even some birth mom's are very annoying at times. Step parents, in my opinion, should not be involved in the discipline of the step children. The real parent should be the one doing the disciplining. Kids go through enough with parents fighting, divorce, then the new dating and remarriage. They could be friends with step parents but no discipline.

Last night, my alcoholic boyfriend of 3 years who has never hit me got in a fight we got in a fight last night, and for the first time, he punched me atleast 6 times in my head while he was drunk. i love him, but this changes everything. what should i do?
Why would you stay with a boyfriend for 3 years that you yourself labeled alcoholic? There is no good outcome to that road. As all the others have said, leave now, find an Al-Anon meeting (just Google Al-Anon) and when you try to analyze the situation, stick to analyzing yourself. Why were you attracted to a person who needs to anesthesize themselves and their emotions. If you don't...

If living is so easy why does God make death so hard for those left behind?
Anyone who has a great love loss endures suffering and agony . . . not for the loved one who has died but because it leaves a big hole in the very core of our being which takes a long, long time for scar tissue to heal over. My heart will never be the same . . . I suppose it will eventually heal, but for a great love loss . . . it takes YEARS. Tears help you heal, so if you know anyone...

I live in great area yet have next door neighbor that are trashy & loud. Fight outside drunk, work on cars day & night & block my driveway with company. Law has not done anything. What can be done?
I'm sorry, but if you truly lived in a great area, the local municipal codes would not allow such things. There are noise restrictions after 10 pm and before 8 am where I live and parking codes are enforced by authorities. You live next door to trash and there's nothing YOU can say to change their behavior. Either move or plan to continue suffering.

I vote no. I have never even kept a gun in the house. If I chose to keep a gun in the house, it would be a shotgun because if I needed to protect myself I wouldn't even have to aim it and the intruders know that.

It could be a learned coping mechanism from the family in which they grew up. There's absolutely no excuse for either sex. It shows you've run out of brain power and have to resort to physicality. Totally wrong no matter who does it. When hit, call the police. Bet the perp won't do it again when there's consequences.

It sounds like she feels pressured to eat at your table. Don't pay so much attention to what she eats or doesn't eat. But maybe some rules about no snacks between meals and then forget it. She may be trying to have some "control" over something if the rest of her life is/has seen a lot of turmoil. Ease off on the food control. Good luck.

Contacting the authorities usually means a foster home. If you have any other relatives, please go to them and try to work this out within the family. There must be someone he will listen to. This is about him. He had other choices. Hitting is not an acceptable one.

Ladies be honest. this past week i bought oil and filter for my car. the guy in the auto dept. helped me. he ask me about the engine in my car to decide what size filter. i said well d is drive i know that. do you know what kind of engine you have?
Diesel. The size of the engine can sometimes be discerned by the numbers of the model . . . like a MBZ E320 is a 3.2 liter engine; S500 is a 5.0 liter. 325 BMW is a 3.2 liter. You usually have either an in-line or V-6 or V-8 engine. V engine just takes up less room and provides more room in the "cabin." I used to sell high line cars for about 15 years.

Taking a vote! Yay or Nay? My GF an Ex-dancer, is trying to sweet talk me into letting 3 of her exotic dancer girlfriends move in with us until they can find their own place,I think it's just asking for trouble. I'll base my decision on the majority vote!
Absolutely Nay! You'll have no control over anything; your neighbors will be complaining because it will be a constant stream of people in and out of your house all the time with people you have absolutely no control over and your house will be a beehive of activity 24 hours a day. If you like that scenario . . . go for it. But don't think it's going to be a variety of sex...

I believe my son is in heaven now. The New Testament could answer that question and I'm not well read regarding the Bible. However, Jesus rose on the third day and I believe that's what happens to every one who believes in Christ as their Savior. Now that I've felt the extreme pain of losing my first born son, what a sacrifice was made for our sins. Everyone will go to heaven...

In a marriage breakup who is more devastated the man/woman or children?
The children will usually only be as unhappy or happy as the parents. And I think that's the way it is in the home no matter if it's an intact home or not. If you're parent is happy most of the time, you're going to be happy most of the time.

Is it just me or does Olive Garden food taste like it was cooked in a microwave?
I haven't eaten at an Olive Garden in years. There are too many small, Italian restaurants around where they make things from scratch (except perhaps the desserts), prices are cheaper so I see no need to drive to a psudo-Italian restaurant that is so blatently corporate processed.

Do you think tipping 15-20% at an expensive restaurant is completely ridiculous, or justified? I mean, this guy brought over a couple of plates and now he's getting $50? Just because the food is expensive, does that make the waiter worth more?
If I dont' want to pay that much in a tip, I don't go to pricy restaurants. The tip amount comes with the territory and if I don't want a 20% tip to be so much, I eat at a cheaper restaurant. Sorry.

Illegals who can't pay get free emergency care now courtesy of all us premium-paying customers or of hospitals that have to eat the cost. That has been going on for years. A right is morally approved individual action in a social context. Excercising a right cannot require the forced cooperation of another individual. So how can there be a "right" to health care if it requires forcing one person to pay another's bills?
In watching a segment on the people in Denmark, they have a totally different perspective about providing health care for everyone. They believe their fellow citizens SHOULD have health care and they are happy to pay for it just out of human kindness. We seem to care and contribute generously to tragedies that happen in other countries, but not give a whit about our neighbor down the street...

I would need to know what actions are being discussed here. The guy has only been in office about 7 months. Rome wasn't built in a day. A more clear questions would be what actions has he not taken responsibility for. Perhaps you could provide those to us.

Try sitting in a chair and slowly lean forward until your hands touch the floor (if you can). THis will stretch out your back muscles if they tight due to stress, tension, etc. Just do it gradually and do it about 5 times every hour. Don't cause a lot of pain. Just do it until it's uncomfortable. Then straighten up. Again. For 5 times per hour. Should feel better the next day.

I've been learning a lot about Roman Catholicism, and I find it intruiging. Mainly, I've found that they have a logical answer for everything they believe, unlike many other religions. Does anyone else know much about it, and what is your opinion of it?
Just from the information I have . . . the Vatican has SOOOOO much money while so many of their members are starving in other countries. They seem to Catholisize them and then leave them with just a priest. Keep having more children so they can tithe more and keep the Vatican in Lira. I have little respect for their beliefs which it seems most people who were baptized Catholic do not follow...

What things should a couple sort out before they move in together?
Make a list of all the chores that need to be done around the place . . . inside and out. Every little thing as well as the big things.
Now, sit down together, each with pad and paper, and each take turns picking a chore you wouldn't mind doing until all the items are crossed off. Saves a lot of arguments whether you're romantically involved or just roommates.

Have you ever gone back to you roots? how was it?
Just did that in May. It was very nice, nostalgic and comforting in a quiet way. I got to see the inside of the house where I lived from age 3 until 9. I hadn't seen it since then and I'm 68. It was pretty much as I remembered it. I live about 1700 miles from there now, so it was a nice diversion from my life at the moment. Great question.

Anger management
What are your top 5 tools and/or resources that have been most helpful to you for managing your anger"?
This includes books, exercises, coping strategies, anything.

Forgiveness. Write the person's name down that you have such anger toward and forgive them. That doesn't mean you bend over again for them . . . you make sure the same thing doesn't happen again, so you don't forget . . . just forgive and take some responsibility so it doesn't happen to you again. Because the woman has some "script" in her head about who she's attracted to. Has nothing to do with the guy but more about how she has learned she wants to be treated. I'm the odd person because I think separate bedrooms is the most civilized thing. If you fall in love with someone, but you split up, then meet someone else (possibly years after) and fall in love with them, do you think it is possible to still be in love with the first person?
I don't have a crystal ball but as an opinion, I suppose it's possible.

Answer to:
Why the hell doesn't Britain join the Euro and give up the pound?
Perhaps it has something to do with pride. The EU would lump England in with everyone else and England has always been England the Magnificient. Just my guess.
Answer to:
What would it take for you to sleep with your best friend boyfriend?
What would it take? There's not enough of anything that would allow myself to do that.

On a date, I said we should do this again and she said ya, and im like ill call you this week is that cool and she was like sure. Date was 4 1/2 hours, am i reading too much into the "sure", would think she would say yes or def. No kiss. good date or no?
Great date! Stop trying to over analyze the situation. Just don't call her the next day. Girls don't usually like guys that "glom" on after a first date. I think you may have somthin' goin' on!!
Answer to:
Is it appropriate for me, being im 18 yr old girl, to have a relationship with a guy that's 36 yr old? He seems really nice and really into me, i like him too but i don't know if its, well appropriate.
Well, it doesn't sound like he's looking for conversation about the Iran problem. Since you're asking us, I think you know it's pretty dicey how it will eventually wind up. The odds are against you. But if you're a gamblin' woman . . . . .

Answer to:
What do you do when you know there is something wrong with your friend but they won't tell you what's wrong? Me and this girl used to be really good friends and then she stopped talking to me. I asked her what's wrong and she said she had to go. Any tips?
Aaaahhhh, young girls . . . they're so hard to figure out. You couldn't possibly know what you've done and she may never tell you. I could only suggest you pester her to death until she DOES tell you. What do you have to lose?

Why is everyone so rude today?
I don't know about everyone else, but today has been an especially sad day for me. Had problems with one of my grandsons and had to cut him loose. Let go and let God . . . they say. But it's just breaking my heart into little pieces.

Answer to:
Why do women say they want a good guy, but never give a good guy a chance?
That's probably more true than not. Sometimes if a woman had a father who was emotionally aloof (and there was a generation like that as that's the only way they knew how to be) or had no father-figure at all, she will be attracted to that same kind of guy because she knows the territory. Isn't about what's good for her. She can't help herself . . . it's the...

Loss of loved one.
Answer to:
Do you ever get tortured by the tag on the neck of your shirt driving you nuts because it irritates the back of your neck?
Yes . . . however, most apparel manufacturers now either sew it down at both ends or merely stamp the name on the material rather than include a tag at the neck. Maybe I don't shop at the right stores! :)

How come rail travel in the USA never "caught on," the way it did in Europe? Those trains are always packed and profitable. I just can't figure out where "we" (the USA) "blew it." We could have had the BEST system in the world!
I wish it were more available. I LOVE taking the train. Just the romantic in me I suppose.

A headline on Yahoo right now is: "Train your boyfriend using animal tricks". If it was instead: "Train your girlfriend using animal tricks" would a lot of women get upset?
A marriage counselor once told me to get a dog training book to understand how to treat my husband. I swear! So, I guess it's not so quirky after all. My experience (and I have a bit) is that men have very simple needs; food and sex. And if you give them both when and how they want those things, they are happy guys. We are the ones that complicate the heck out of everything. :)))))

When you're bored do you make others suffer for it?
I live alone so there's no one else to punish; however, I've been single for so long and I found out long ago that I'M the one that has to make things happen for me because no one else is going to.
