Did anyone become a step-parent because of an affair and you eventually got together? I would like to hear about experiences good/bad. Was it difficult to make the decision to leave marriage or stay in it for children's sake?
Last year I discovered my H was having an affair my teenage D was with me when i found out. I had a fairly happy marriage. Within a couple of weeks my H moved in with her and her child. My D says she will never have any sort of dealings with OW. My other child says the same.
My sis left her H 7 years ago and her kids have never met her new SO.

I can't understand why you would be jealous of these two little girls they are babies and need lots of attention. You youself seem to be upset at the lack of attention you are getting, and you ARE old enough to understand. Also dose your child live with you and your husband what if he felt this way about your child and went to stay at his parents because of your childs presence. You will...

My husband and I have been seperated for 2yrs. I have been livin out of state for 7mths and he comes every other mth + holidays but says he's doubleminded about us. When asked if he wants a divorce, he says dont ask me that right now and it is what it is
Chris you have to do whats right for you. I think maybe you don't want the divorce yourself otherwise you would have done something about it by now. What I think you should do is live your life as normal as you can until you are absolutly ready to do whats right for you. Good luck.

Why is the middle child always ignored?
I can't believe this question was asked today cos I had a discussion with one of my sister's about this earlier. Apparently the middle child is favoured less because they are not the oldest and not the youngest and more often than not they are not the only boy or only girl. I have a friend with 3 kids and I witness this a lot with her middle child also another of my sister's has...

I don't think this is something that happens overnight but over a period of time. Sometimes it happens because of another love interest or people just growing apart there are lots of reasons for this.

Why do people get married if they're just going to give up?

I'm in the middle of a divorce and our three year old daughter talks about her dads new girlfriend and how much he likes her.I don't feel that its appropiate to allow our children to become involved in grownup relationships. How can I address this issue?
It sounds to me like your daughter is being tutored to say these things. Either that or your daughter is very perseptive. How could a 3 year old know how her daddy feels about his girlfriend. If I were you I would'nt ask my three year old any questions about how her daddy feels for the gf the person most to be hurt here will be you. Its a hard situation you are in don't make it worse...

This is a hard one, alcoholism is an illness hard from both your points of view. If you could record him by video recorder and show him what he is like while under the influence it may make him seriously think about his problem, but on the other hand he may get angry and upset if you do this.
