How does the media influence our perception of others?
People form their opinions, largely, based on the information that they absorb as fact. By generating only stories that represent ONE side of situations and people in those situations they immerse others into ONLY that school of thought. So the experience becomes one-sided and then is reinforced endlessly.
If you don't view media as only "part" of any given story you run the...

Why would someone verbally abuse a suicidal person?
Frustration.
Nothing renders a bystander quite as ineffective as the fact that if a person chooses to end their life there is nothing that can be done about it.
So, if they do care for the person and aren't in fact part of the problem beforehand, it is likely you are hearing all of their grief, frustration and fear coming out.

When it isn't a matter of it being "worth" it but a matter of feeling the strong and compelling need to unite and to face your lives together, no matter what, then yes, it is "worth" it.
If you feel this way and don't desire marriage, that's okay too. But that partnership is what makes commitment, whether marriage or not, WORTH it.

Your question, view point? presumes that there is defining moment where you fall into love.
Love, in my experience, isn't like that. It is more an unfurling of feeling like a rose blooming than a snap of a switch. So it's hard to pinpoint when, exactly, love happened.

I think very few people ever forget.

We are both bad in our own special ways.
Men are likely to rear end the guy in front of him who thinks, wrongly buddy!, that he is going to "beat" the driver to the red light.
Women are more likely to be in distraction type accidents...involving tippy cup wars and "he's looking at me" fight refereeing.

Why do people become uncomfortable when someone displays their emotions?
Lots of reasons.

As such, the only opinions that carry serious weight is the opinion of the couple.

We can never know why someone tolerates what they do in their personal relationships. That is an agreement ONLY between the two of them.
This is hard because you being aware of the situation makes me wonder HOW you became aware. Did someone make it their duty to tell you? Did you stumble on to the truth?

To write very straight take a thin ruler or an index card or some paper that won't buckle and fold and hold it across the paper you are going to write on.
The ruler or the index card will stop the writing perfectly straight.
You will have to go back and add your loops to g's etc. but it makes for a very neat invitation envelope.

There is no proven way to prevent it. Some folks swear by Joint Juice and Glucosamine supplements for increasing joint flexibility but it won't prevent the distortion of the joint.

I will make "fun" of most anything. However, there is a vast difference in poking fun and wrappping hatefulness up in a fake jest. This kind of fun is easily recogizable in that the subject of it laughs with you.
I see lots of the fake jesting in the world. Unforgivable meanness candy coated with "joking".

Clear your schedules and cover your furniture.
I had the most success training by allowing them to spend as much diaper free time as possible. Outside is best. This gives them a chance to connect the feelings of needing to pee with the result of urine instead of a nice, warm, heavy diaper.
Same goes for bowel movements though those are a bit more disconcerting on the patio!!...

**Friends don't let Best Friends go broke.***
Does your company have a name that a play on words could come out of?
Answer to:
Define 'testicular fortitude'.
Testicular we all know.
Fortitude is defined as
1: strength of mind that enables a person to encounter danger or bear pain or adversity with courage
So we have a bit of a good news/bad news situation.
Good news is it's about strength...bad news is, as we have long suspected, testicle holders "minds" are located below the belt. :) :)

Every time your mind wanders towards this other person, replace the picture of her face with the picture of the devastation of your children if you allow this infatuation to grow and to break up your relationship with their other parent.
What is it about this other woman that makes you happy every time you see her? I can assure you she is, in all likelihood, just a mere mortal. So there...

Check to see if the timer is stuck with time left on it. If it is digital...unplug the unit completely, let it sit for a minute, replug and try to open it.

Thing is you really need to discuss it with her if you find it disturbing for her to be talking to exes.
Not just use it as justification for...

When refinancing a mortgage has anyone ever heard of a one time escrow fee charged? Not title company escrow. I pay my own property taxes instead of letting the lender escrow them. They want to charge me $900 for this. seems fishy to me. ANyone?
Yes, I've heard of it...if they are talking about establishing your escrow account.
The escrow account for the payment of your insurance, depending on how soon it is up for renewal could be at the $900 mark.
This amount should be offset, eventually, by the refund of your escrow account from your existing lender.
Lenders call their "origination" fee by different names so...

The day that I finally compromised myself to the point that I realized I wasn't living MY life. I was living too much for other people.

Now, even when my life is a bit nonsensical, it's MINE.

Why do people treat idealism like its a bad thing?
It can become a bad thing if clinging to idealism keeps a person from dealing with the reality.
The fear of that happening is what makes people see it as a "bad thing".
Idealism isn't a bad thing, we should all have ideals..we should all also have a back up plan for when life falls short of these ideals.

I have only met my fiance's friends once in my 4 year relationship, is this a bad sign?
Depends on how much time and how important his friends are in his life.
If he isn't seeing them all the time and they are more friends from his past...not as much to worry about.
If they are a big part of his life that you aren't being invited into...then you have things to work out. BEFORE the wedding, preferably.

Not ever because of age. I have had them put down for illness.

I think I would give him the benefit of the doubt that he is just Hallmark Impaired.
Perhaps he is trying to tell you that he values you as person and not a plaything. I wouldn't let the comment stand undiscussed.
I would say, I appreciate that you value me for more than my body. When you said that about my exs, it hurt me that you seem think the only reason men have dated me...

Is being too observant bad?
It can be bad if you get sidetracked by every bit of data with no ability to prioritize it.
That is what having ADD is like. Everything is equally compelling...the kid tapping his pencil in the classroom can swamp out the lecturer. The colors out the window can make the whole lesson disappear.
On the bright side...you do tend to see the world with more details.

Committed to each other and to a shared vision of what their partnership will be.

What do you accomplish by apologizing for your partner's rude behavior or comments when he or she does not?
Some people do it to limit the "embarrassment by association" that they feel. It's not a good idea to do this.
For one it allows the other guy to "get off" lightly because the people he/she offended don't want to offend YOU (who has apologized for his/her behavior) by holding him accountable. So they may not reach the point where they confront him/her for a...

I literally can't breathe when too close to smoke anymore. No one is more surprised about this than I am.

The first thing I would try would to be to make arrangements with the owners to put the pig up when I was there.

When you encounter people who are unnecessarily nasty and vindictive, are you able to shake it off or does it leave a lasting imprint?
Once it is truly in the past...I can shake it off and leave it there.
Unfortunately getting it in the past means that it has to STOP and stopping isn't usually a nasty and vindictive person's strong suit.
I do find it to be like chewing gum though, it starts to lose it's flavor pretty early on so I lose my desire to chew on it all day every day.

If we are assuming that both are equally intelligent and independent then the more attractive will likely have more opportunities.
