From a female's perspective is a guy's foot fetish a turn on, turn off or neither?
I think it depends on the woman. A true fetish means that he is unable to have an orgasm without that to turn him on. I think I would get tired of the same thing all the time.

I don't seek out anyone in particular. Life brings me to different people. I am drawn to both those who I have similarities with and those who I don't. I do find it interesting that, most of the time, I'm drawn more to people who are at least ten years older than I am. I only have two friends who are close to my age. What do you do when partner in a relationship is romantic and the other isn't. Where do you compromise?
That depends entirely upon the two people. There is no one answer to this question. I think that there is usually one partner who is more romantic than the other. It's equally likely to be a man or a woman. Each couple has to find the balance if they are able to. If not, perhaps it was not meant to be.

How would you respond if your recent boyfriend/girlfriend told you that they worked part-time, lived in a caravan somewhere quiet and just wanted to spend their lives having fun rather than worrying about conforming to societies ideology?
You would have to define "having fun." As to the rest, I would be good with that as long as there was no stress to have food on the table from day to day.

It's sad, but I'm reconciled to it. With the current man, we live long distance and each of us have things we must work out before we move forward in our relationship. Although...

I am dating someone long distance, and she is awesome don't get me wrong...but she is kind of a... nympho... should i be worried about her cheating?
I have Bipolar Disorder and go through periods of hypersexuality. I managed seven years of long distance with my late husband without cheating. I've managed six months with my current long distance relationship without cheating. If you can't trust her yet, you have a long way to go or she's not worth trusting. That's something you have to figure out on your own.

What does being in a committed relationship mean to you?
There is a friendship at the base of that relationship that is always going to be there. In addition to the friendship is the romantic level of the relationship. The romantic level includes trust, kindness, thoughtfulness, and a desire to remain faithful to that person. For me, that does not include him never looking at another woman and not mildly flirting with other women. It does include,...

There are many reasons for a person to say this. For me, it is financial. Crass, maybe, but realistic. If I were to marry, I would lose what little income I have plus health care. I'm a widow and have serious health problems. I was already the widow who was left destitute. I will NEVER place myself in that position again. For those reasons, I will never be married again.

People naturally go through different phases in a relationship. When you're dating, you always put your best foot forward. If you move in together prior to seeing those flaws, you become disillusioned very quickly. If you have dated and...

For those of you who have lost a loved one: How long did it take you to realize that they are gone forever and they will never be back?
It has depended on the person I lost. With my daughter 20 years ago, it took me about a year or so. With my maternal grandmother, who was a mother to me, it took me about six months. With my father, it was a few weeks. With my paternal grandmother, I'm not sure I'm there yet. She died last Mother's Day. With my husband, I'm no where near being to that point. He died Nov. 20,...

A close friend of the family recently died and I offered to help wrap up all of her affairs I did not relize there was so much to it. where do I start? Do you know of any resources for help in how to do this?
It depends on where you live. Try a web search for your state. Is there a will? If not, you are looking at a whole lot of trouble. If the estate is considerable, an attorney needs to take care of this. If there is not a will, an attorney may need to be hired. If taxes need to be filed, an accountant may need to be hired. Sorry, but your question is simply too general to be answered.

Wear a neutral medium to dark color unless you have been informed that it is otherwise by the family. Remember that the funeral is for the family, not your cousin. In honouring them, you honour him, too. There's nothing wrong with adding a splash of color as long as it's not to flashy.

I was in my 30s before I attended a funeral for a friend who had died of cancer. I often think about how much I wanted to attend my great-grandfather's funeral when I was quite young, about 3 or 4 years old. Instead, it was all very hush- hush and hidden from me and my sisters. It's okay for you to cry with them. It is difficult when there are deaths, much less more than one. Within seven months, I lost my father, my grandmother, my aunt and my husband. If your sister doesn't normally have trust issues, I would tend to believe her intuition. If she has trust issues, she should work on that. If not, she should just keep track of what is going on to make her think this... on paper or on the computer. Why do otherwise smart women stay with men who cheat on them?
Intelligence doesn't have too much to do with it. You can know something logically and your feelings/emotions tell you otherwise. Also, it's not *always* the smart thing to leave a man who cheats on you.

Answer to:
Can you imagine yourself living with a spouse and they play that game no sex for you cause I am getting you back...how long do you think it would last until you cheated.
Cheating is rarely about sex. In this case, it's about something wrong in the relationship, not about sex. For me, I wouldn't stay in a relationship like this. It would either improve or I'd be out of it.
Answer to:
Is/was marriage for you?
Yes, it was. At this point, I don't think it will be again simply because I don't ever want to be left in this financial position again. Once I have that back on track, it would take some doing for me to give it up by marrying again. In my situation, getting married would mean giving up my financial independence.
Answer to:
How big of a diamond ring, did you buy your wife and how much did it cost you
My husband didn't buy my diamonds. They were more precious than that even. There are three large and 13 small diamonds that were his mother's. She died two years prior to our meeting. We paid the jewelry designer $2000. The rings were worth $7500. The designer was a friend and was a designer for the largest and best store in Canada, Birks.

I remarried my x-husband. No matter what I do, he will not communicate with me. Our therapist even told us there is nothing more he can do. But I love him. How else can I help him to be able to communicate?
Sometimes love isn't enough. You can't help him do what he's not willing to do. If he's chosen to not put communication skills to work, you can't do anything. It's a choice he's made.
Answer to:
Im waiting until marriage to have sex. What am i missing out on?
All of the negative things listed in other answers if you are a teenager. If you are an adult, I think that you are missing out on a few things. First, many men don't want to have a virgin bride. This means that you will have not had any experience. You won't be able to please them in the same way. You won't have as good an idea of what it is that you like. Also, you are missing...

Answer to:
If you had a chance to spend one more day with someone close to you that had died, who would it be and what would you do?
My husband. We would spend the day saying all the things that needed to be said. He could tell me what to do with all of his things, what he wanted and didn't want. We could tell one another we love each other before he died which we didn't get the chance to do. We could say our goodbyes.

I lost my sister last year. This year, another sister is dying. Im not sure I can stand all this death. I need to accept it, but I am not there yet.
I'm sorry for your loss and your loss to come. It is extremely difficult when you are dealing with loss upon loss. In 7 months, my father, my grandmother, and my husband died. There is no reason to push the grief and feel that you must accept it any time in the next while. It takes time. My husband died two months ago. I find that it's me who is pushing me to grieve. My brother and sister-in-law did. They did it logically. They had to go to the courthouse to get the license. They didn't want a theme wedding. So they went to a place that had a name something like Wedding Chapel By The Courthouse.

Women, will you or have you taken on your husbands name if/when you get married? Men, how would you feel if a female did not want to take on your name? Would you take on hers?
With my late husband, I did choose to take his name. He did not tell me how he felt about it until after I made my decision. He didn't want me to feel pressured one way or the other. Many of the women in his family have chosen not to so that would not have been abnormal to him. He was very happy to have me take his name.

Would you want to get engaged or married on a holiday? Why or why not?
Engaged, why not? Sure. Married, depends on the situation. For my late husband and I, it made sense to get married on a weekend of a holiday since people would have a three day weekend and be able to easily attend our wedding. We would not have done that at Christmas, though.

I'm sure it's difficult not being believed. It may be difficult for your family for a couple of reasons. First, your parents and older siblings would feel like they didn't protect you and should have known. Second, they would have a problem with the church. While neither of these are an excuse for their behavior, it sometimes helps to understand why people do what they do....

I have been married for 1 year. Both of us have been married before. It is my hubby's house but I contribute financially every month over 4k. More than he does. His trust leaves everything to his ungreatfull loser kids. Is this fair?
When you marry someone who has children, you should accept that those children will almost always come first. I would suggest that you request that he buy a new life insurance policy just for you. If by law you had to have a tombstone when you were buried, what would you ask to have written on it?
I won't have one. I would like to have a bench, in the park that I love dearly, dedicated to myself and my husband. There are no options when that happens. It's simply dedicated to (names).
Answer to:
Have you ever thought to yourself what day of the week you will die? How about the month or time of year (spring, summer, etc.) or the year itself?
Any time except winter. My children plan to take my and my husband's remains to the city we loved dearly, go to the places that had meaning to us and/or to them with us, and sprinkle our ashes in each of those places. Winter would make travel more difficult.

Special ed can mean something as simple as dysgraphia (a learning disability in math) or as serious as seriously neurologically impaired. Why do woman and men pretend that they are happy in their marriages? Can you stay with a person when you have no love for them..What keeps you in your marriage?
It's normal to have periods of time in a marriage when you don't feel "in love," butterflies, as sexually attracted, and/or like you love them enough to be married to them. The better question is what you are doing to get your marriage back.

What would be a great song for the funeral of a loved one who was an inspiration to everyone! (Male, 55, theatre professor, mentor, funny guy, taught communtiy youth theatre, church chior, loves pretty music, has younger wife but no kids.)
I'm sorry for your loss. My husband died on Nov. 20, 2008. His cousin once removed who has a wonderful career in the music industry sang "The Prayer." It was not the Celine Dione and Andrea Bocellli version, but that was the version that was played at our wedding during the signing of the documents. It seemed to fit to have it sung at his memorial service.

What is the proper way to address a female minister and her husband- Mr. Dick and Rev. Betsy?
If you were writing, that is how you would address them. If talking to them, address them in whatever way they are comfortable with, most likely the same way. If you are on a first name basis but she uses her title, Dick and Rev. Betsy. If you aren't on a first name basis, Mr. Smith and Rev. Smith.

How to convey to wedding guests that you only want monetary gifts
The only proper way to do this per wedding etiquette is to simply let the word get around. If you don't register, you're asking for trouble. One of the best things to do in this case is to register at...

No, I wouldn't. I would have made a simple error that would be easy to make given the circumstances.
Answer to:
Is there anything wrong with giving a wedding gift prior to the actual wedding day?
Absolutely nothing. In fact, you are doing everyone a favor by doing so. It offers the bride a chance to get some of those thank you cards out before the wedding... if she has time. It's much easier than the wedding couple trying to get all of their gifts home from the wedding, as well. The worst time and place to give a wedding gift is at the wedding.

I know how you feel. My father died in Feb. My grandmother died on Mother's Day. My husband died on Nov. 20th. I think that it is either coincidence or it can be that family members expect this, look for it, and may even advance a death because of it.

The most recent surveys that I have read show that kids do better if they stay together as long as there is no abuse. What those surveys also show is that the parents usually get to a point of getting along again later on. I think that that's what commitment is about, getting through the difficult times.

The wording of your question brings the answer to it. "HIS girl," well, she isn't HIS. She belongs to herself. Now, my husband was every bit a gentleman, opening doors, seating me, etc. all the way through our marriage. I had zero problem with this. I did have a problem with him when he felt that he had to "protect" me to the point of denying me the decision for myself....

You have given him permission to cheat repeatedly. If you don't leave him, if you react the same way each time, he knows exactly what the price to pay for an affair is. He has no long term consequences. Give him an ultimatum and stick to it. If he really loves you, he'll follow through with you, not the affair partner. Some of the ultimatum could be:
1. It stops now.
2. You go to...
Answer to:
Wife talks to 3 of her exs, one of which she tells she loves. called her today and asked why she never answered my text, said she was talking to her boss on phone, i let it slide, but looked over the bill and it was the guy she "loves" should i be worried
You should be worried because she's lying to you. The reason for that lie is highly suspect. If she says the "I love you"'s in front of you, not quite as suspect. If she used to say it in front of you and doesn't any longer, different story all together.
Answer to:
If you had records of telephone calls between your marriage partner and someone you thought they were having an affair with, would you go to that other person's home to confront them and show your "evidence" to their spouse?
Going to the other man or woman is pointless. It's revenge which accomplished nothing. Your issue is with your partner. She or he is the one who made the promise to you. She or he is the one you need to address and decide what to do about it with.

This Christmas, a co-worker gave me a home made fruitcake. It was awful - burnt to a crisp on top and wax paper stuck to the sides and bottom. Should I give it back to her and explain that it was inedible, or just say nothing?
Toss it. If she does ask, simply tell her it was wonderful that she went to the trouble. If she asks how it was, tell her that it was one of the more interesting fruitcakes you've ever been given. If she pushes the how was it, ask her for the recipe. You don't have to say you liked it if you go about it right.

Do you think that the stereotypical roles in the household still apply? do you think men and women are equal when it comes to taking care of the house, cooking, raising children, financing etc etc?
Stereotypical, not with us!
Equal- yes, absolutely. However equal didn't mean that we both did half the dishes, half the lawn mowing, etc. Equal meant that we each did about half of whatever it was that needed to be done. I didn't normally pay the bills, but I did on occasion. He didn't normally file the household paperwork and put receipts in our spreadsheet, but he did on...

Will you or your spouse walk out in the middle of an argument,or have you agreed not to do that?
We agreed not to do that unless we said that we needed a time out. The person taking the time out would then tell the other when they'd be ready to talk about it again. This worked very well for us. We were both highly opinionated (thus both of us having been on AB). We both loved a good debate. Our arguments were very heated, but they were also usually very short in duration. Because of...

My wife secretly trolls the internet for lesbian erotica. no pics or videos...just stories of girl-on-girl sex. Our sex life, after 10 yrs of marriage, is not so good. Do straight women dig lesbian sex stories, or might my wife be gay?
It may be that she is gay or bi. However, don't discount her having a sexual addiction. Replacing sex with your spouse with whatever your addiction is is one of the signs of a sexual addiction. It doesn't have to be visual in order to be an addiction. Women are often more turned on with stories than pictures. Just a thought...

My friends wife told me she used to have a crush on me and she tells me about them not having sex all the time but she says she would not cheat on him but maybe she should. What should I do?
Let your wife know what is going on. If you don't and this becomes known to her via other people, you're in a world of hurt.
Answer to:
Is there a difference between regular discharge and sexual discharge minus the presence of semen that can be noticed in a womans underware from staining
If you believe that a woman is cheating on you, there are kits that can be purchased to detect semen in their panties. It's not going to help a lot if a condom was used.

I didn't attend a bridal shower-my husb's ex was attending after I was lied to and told she wasn't invited by host+bride(ex starts drama). I sent a gift. the host+bride are upset with me. Am I wrong 4 thinking they have no reason to be upset with me?
I think that you should allow them to have their own drama. Step out of it. Don't worry about who's right and who's wrong. It doesn't matter. It's done. You did what was right for you. You were not rude as far as I can tell. Just know that brides and bridal parties tend to be emotional, etc. when planning a wedding and move forward.

How tacky is it to hold a bridal shower at a restaurant and ask those attending to pay their own meals, is it acceptable to order appetizers and if guests want a full meal they can pay for it?
Etiquette for weddings does provide this to be very rude. If you want to invite your guests to a bridal shower with appetizers, you can do so. If the guests choose to stay after the shower to eat, that would be their choice. However, eating a meal in front of others in the way you are describing here is extremely rude. My suggestion would be to invite your guests to join you for appetizers and...

When getting married, is a wedding ceremony really that important to you, as opposed to simply saying "I love you" to the person in private and living happily ever after?
Personally, a wedding ceremony in front of family and friends was important to both of us. For me, it was my second wedding. I wanted my family to have the opportunity to see that I wasn't screwing up with another abuser this time. For him, he was 56 years old, and it was his first marriage. Answer to:
Why don't woman today respect their husbands?
This happens in *some* cases due to media, example, and misunderstanding. Respect means different things to different people. If a person has a partner who they believe is disrespecting them, they need to think about why they feel that way, what is happening or not happening to make them feel that way. They then need to, respectfully, present that information to their partner.

Does anyone think that marriage was better in the fifties compared to now and why?
I don't think so either. The only difference in the 50's is that women were just starting to have some independence. Women were just starting to make the call on whether a divorce happened or not. As such, there were fewer divorces. That does not signify a difference in the number of good vs. bad marriages.

It depends on the OW. Some stick around for 20 years, happy with what they get. Some are believing lies that the MM tells her about things like when the kids leave home, when the wife isn't sick any more, my career isn't where it needs to be quite yet and I can't afford it until it is, etc.

From a LDS point of view, every man who achieves certain things in their lifetime will eventually become a God. Therefore, it stands to reason that God was once man according to the LDS point of view. However, that was information I retained from many, many years ago when I was hog-tied and forced to go to that church. Check with your bishop.

It depends on the kind of thing you are talking about. If it is caused by a physical thing, ie, anything on the autism spectrum, anxiety disorders, mental illness, etc., it is more likely to have a possible component of genetic. If it is simply being shy, it can be either. IME, it's more likely to be learned via the way the child has been treated at home and/or other places. However, this...

I believe, and have since I was a child, that we are predestined to have a path to follow, a journey to take, in our lifetime. My wife had dinner with an ex tonight but didnt tell me about it until after the fact, but she told me, which kind of makes me trust her, should i be worried? The ex lives in another state and was visiting....
You say you trust her, but you are questioning that trust. People usually question their trust for another for a reason. It sounds as though she has, at the very least, not told you the truth 100%. Perhaps talking to her about it on that level, not a "you had an affair" level would be more helpful.
Answer to:
My mate says he loves his wife and feel guilty, but has cheated on her over 30 times with a colleague. its always premeditated on his part. he confuses me as i cant see how he CAN love his wife yet carry on like this for over a year!!!!
Most people who have affairs still love their spouse if they are asked. It's usually something within their marriage or within themselves that brings them to making poor choices.
As for your part in it, I'd suggest telling him that you don't want to hear about it again.
Answer to:
When your married, should you give your husband space to himself to do the things he wants to do, such as drinking, socializing with other peers?
It depends on the couple. Each partner must decide for themselves what's a deal-breaker. If both partners can't agree, they must then decide on a way to compromise or else the marriage is doomed.
Answer to:
Did you ever betray your partner with another man/woman. Did they forgive you for destroying their dreams? Would you forgive if the situation was reversed?
In my first marriage, my husband had serial affairs and was severely abusive. I did have an emotional affair upon parting from him, thank God.
In my second marriage, he had an emotional affair. He did ruin my fairy tale. It took time, but I did forgive him... for myself since that's who forgiveness is for, one's self to move forward and be healthy. The last year of our marriage...

My darling husband was my soul mate and still is surrounding me and inside of my soul and memory, as I believe that he always will be. What would you do if you find out that your boyfriend/husband cheated on you with your best friend?who would you blame? personally i think both.
It depends. If you are looking to rebuild your marriage, the only person responsible to you is your husband. Your friend should have had some loyalty to you, but she is not the person who made a vow to you if you are married.

How would you describe your marriage in one word?
It was perfect. That is the one word I would use. We went through some of the most difficult things that a couple can go through and came out stronger, happier, and closer for it. I use the past tense because the love of my life died on 10-20-08.

Right now, that's an extremely difficult question for me. My husband just died on Nov. 20th. Do I want ever so much to be with him? Yes, I do. Is now the time? It appears that it's probably not. If I had a choice? I simply could not make that choice right now.

Buying online is a good option. If you are looking to buy as you see things, it depends on how old they are. If they are old enough to stay in the car on their own, you can tell them that you forgot something and have to run back in. If not, you can simply get out a notebook and write down what it is, where it is, and how much it is. When you do get ready to go shopping or are on your own for a...

It takes one to two years for a family to adjust to a new family member whether this is a new baby or a new partner or whatever. Give it time. You should spend time with her one on one. She probably feels as though he is "taking you away from her" in a sense. It isn't just about his relationship with her.

It depends on the set. Most of the time, this is true, but it's not true 100% of the time. My engagement ring was assessed at $2000 and wedding ring at $3000. Why is it so bad when you say your boyfriend/husband doesnt like porn? Has it became a law for all men to watch it or something?
Much of society sees acceptance of porn as a social norm. When others don't follow a social norm, they become uncomfortable. You should visit with an attorney. In the circumstances you are describing in your question and comments, it's going to depend a lot on case law and your jurisdiction. I'm trying to get a divorce from my husband, but it cost to much money. Do any one have any advice on how I can get it done cheaper. We been separted since 2002.
If you can't afford to file, most states offer a form that you can fill out to give to the judge along with the self-filled forms for the divorce itself. The judge reviews it and will sign it or not. Try googling your state, county, and "divorce forms." That will usually take you to where you need to go to download the forms. If not, you can go to the courthouse and ask.

All of you are in ownership by virtue of your names being on the deed. The mortgage is simply the loan to pay for the home, not ownership. I would not vacate without seeing an attorney.

How can me and my husband become happy with each other again?
Marriages can be rebuilt, but it takes a commitment on the part of both of you to do so. It may take some counseling to figure it out, as well.
Answer to:
My husband recently found out that I have been having an affair off and on during our entire relationship, 5 years. He wants to know why I did it, but I honestly don't know. My husband is a great guy. I wasn't lacking anything at hom
The two biggest things that cause an affair are something missing within the marriage or something missing within yourself. If you honestly don't believe that there was anything missing in your marriage, you may need to look within yourself for the answer to this. This often necessitates a counselor.
Answer to:

YES, we will not give up who we are, our individuality, and never will.

If within a marriage one partner denies the other sex (just because they are angry), can they morally still demand that the other refrain from seeking sex outside marriage?
Of course they can. If there is an issue with sex, use common sense, kindness and positive communication and understanding to work it out. It's a stupid reason to have an affair.

Why do so many marriages end in divorce now compared to 50 years ago?
Actually, right now, divorce rates are the lowest they've been since 1970. We are on a downturn on divorce rates. As with so very many things, it works on a pendulum. First, it was extremely rare. Then it became accepted and common, way too common. Now, we are finding a middle ground.

How do you feel about an unmarried couple living together? Do you think this reduces the chances they will ever be married?
I have no problem with this. I agree that it is far too dependent upon the set of circumstances for each couple to dictate a right or wrong over this. I lived with my first husband for a month before we married. It was a huge mistake. I lived with my current husband for 1.5 years before we married. If was not a mistake.

Answer to:
What is the average length of time it takes for a man to propose marriage to a woman. It's only been 10 months I've been dating this guy, I'm extremely in love with him and want more.
On average, 5 minutes to 20 years. There is no average that matters here. What matters is your relationship. If you are in love with this man, back off and let the relationship build. Have individual pursuits in addition to pursuits you do together. Make sure that the lines of communication stay open. He will propose when he is ready to. If you push him into doing so before then, you'll...

It depends on where you live. In most states, the state can not come after you for it. In a few, they can.
Federally, for tax refunds, they can take the entire return IF the state has filed for this and IF you have not filed the appropriate paperwork to stop this action. If they do do so, you can file the appropriate paperwork to have that money refunded to you. You are eligible, legally,...

In September, Seaside Sand Sculpture & Beach Festival, Seaside. This is by far the most outstanding part of the coastline and the most outstanding event on the coast, in my opinion.
Lincoln City has two or three kite festivals each year. These are always fun!

Does it snow in Seattle, WA? Alot? My husband would like us to move there sometime.
I always find it interesting when people say it "never" snows in Seattle. I lived there for 10 years in the 80's. We had snow every winter. We had quite a bit, in fact.
As with all things, weather comes in cycles. Right now, there is a cycle of not having massive amounts of snow. However, don't count it out. It will never be as bad as it is in some places and is a wet snow.

This week is my parent's 18th. wedding anniversary; we lost my dad when I was two and my mom gets really sad every year around this time. What can I do to help her get through it?
It's important to leave the door open to talk about him. Spend the day with her possible. Ask her to tell you about him. Let her cry if that's what she needs to do. Take or send her flowers with a card just to say that you know that he would have done this for her had he been there; since he's not, you hope that these from you will help.

I have had that happen more than once. I was emailing/messaging. I did tell my husband that I was doing so. I shared the important bits with him. When this happened, my husband was also informed. Yes, I would since it would be friendship only. I've met several of my online friends and had only wonderful experiences. Having any of them stay with me for a week would be great fun!

You don't. I would be more concerned about paying attention to these common abusive behaviors to watch for from abusive men or abusive women:

In a marriage, should either partners stop trying to impress the other by keeping up with their looks or by doing more than their share of chores? I'm speaking on both behalves, Man do more chores & Woman keep up with fashion/looks...
It's not at all uncommon to become more comfortable around your partner after a time. There's nothing wrong with that. However, doing little things for your partner is a different matter. My husband does things like seeing I'm having a tough day and offering to make dinner or just going in and doing so. I see my husband's having a tough day, and I try to do the same.

My wife has an issue with drawing attention to herself (both positive and negative attention) she'd rather avoid being noticed at all cost. She's kind of hides in the background. How do I boost her confidence!?
That confidence has to come from within her. As lovely as it is that you want to do that for her, you can only give her external help through compliments and putting her in situations where she will be successful. You can tell her the things that you think that she should know that are wonderful about her. If funny how much a person with little self-esteem has heard those things. Most of it,...

Someone asked me today if I was LEGALLY separated? I have been served with divorce papers, but we have NOT been before the Judge. Am I considered legally seperated?
In most states that require a separation prior to divorce, there is no such thing as a legal separation. You are simply separated prior to divorce. Legal separations occur in states that have that option as an alternative to divorce. It's usually the same process as a divorce.
Regardless of all of that, if you have not been before a judge or had a judge sign a court order stating that...

I wanna get married soon,i got a question about marriage license,my man lives in texas and i live in sc,if we get married in sc then would we be able to get married since he has a tx id and i have a sc id?i need to know asap, would diff ids matter?
They make no difference. You can have ID from other countries, and it would make no difference. I wish you all the best!
Do check with the court house to see what ID is required. If either of you have ever been married and divorced, you will have to provide proof of that, as well.

My girlfriend and I plan to marry. We live in different countries (both English speaking) and 1 hours flying time apart. Should I wait until we are living together (or at least in the same country) until I ask her to marry me?
It can go either way. I think that in-person proposals usually have a lot more romance to them. Unless there is a reason to do it quickly, wait to do it in person. Find a really romantic way to do this. It's a very special moment that will, hopefully, be a once in a lifetime event.

Answer to:
Why would someone sleep with their ex-wife when they are engaged to be married to someone else?
The ex is an easy target. It doesn't have much to do with who they cheat with, as difficult as that can be to deal with. It has to do with something missing within themselves or within the relationship most of the time. The only thing I have to say about the ex is that she's stupid to go along with it.
Answer to:
You find out your ex is homeless (no kids). You are unattached. Do you give her/him a spare bedroom until they get their act back together?

Should i divorce my wife because of my in law?
If you knew them prior to marriage and nothing significant has changed, you were forewarned and should have known. If something significant has changed for the worse, you have to consider other alternatives before you consider divorce. If this is an excuse to divorce her, do her a favor and go ahead. While you say that marriage and individual counseling has been on the table, neither of you have followed through showing a lack of commitment whether you feel that or not. If you want the marriage to work, you need to follow through with your part. Go to individual counseling.

IF he is in the midst of a divorce and you've actually seen this first hand via court documents, hearings you were at, attorney bills, etc., his being married is a temporary status IMO that has nothing to do with your relationship with him except that you are most likely the "rebound relationship." Barack Obama & John McCain: Who is more likely to cheat on their spouse?
Somehow the idea that age has anything to do with this has appeared. Of the women I work with in this situation, about 20% are older women with older husbands. Age is no certainty against cheating! Men who have had an affair in the past are much more likely to cheat again. Therefore, I have to go with McCain.

What does love mean to you? (I'm referring to romantic love, not sibling, or parental, or friendly love.)
It begins with a biochemical reaction we experience and identify as "attraction" plus the emotional bond. It grows into a feeling that develops when two people get to know each other well and grow fond of each other, a mature love. Mature romantic love is a lifelong commitment of mutual respect. It is a choice that is made over and over again to love, respect, and trust your partner....

Does a man feel less secure and thus less happier if he was having a relationship with a very beautiful woman? And does a man get annoyed if other men look at his beautiful woman while having a drink or something?
A person only feels less secure in a relationship if they are less secure in themselves. A person only gets annoyed about other people looking at the person they are with if they are not secure in their relationship and, logic follows, secure in themselves.

What is your take on William Shatner's recent rant about not being invited to George Takei's wedding?
Since Takei states that they did invite him and Shatner has not bothered to show up to other important invents for his cast mates, I have to believe that Shatner is just being the egomanic that he usually is.

Does married couples that are happily married ever fight?
A happily married couple may fight a little or a lot. The concern is how they fight and how they make it up. If it is done with respect, they usually have a good marriage.
Answer to:
How many times have you been married, and for how many years together?
I am married for the second time. We've been married for nine years. We are in love.
I define that through many means. We both care a great deal for one another. We enjoy a lot of the same things. We have a great deal of respect for one another. We've moved through a very difficult ordeal and come out ahead. We chose to stay together and rebuild our marriage. We choose to continue...

Let's see....
He was severely abusive of me for the 18 years we were married until we separated. He continued to play mind games with me whenever he thought he could. After while, they didn't work any longer so the games stopped.
He had serial affairs bringing home not so fun stuff to me. I'm still not sure what in the world those other women would have had sex with him...

We real people don't live the life of celebrities... THANK GOD! What celebs do have nothing to do with what others do.
You do not have to be in the situation to understand. If you wish to date someone's ex, count on losing the friendship. Regardless of whether she says she will not have hard feelings, she will! It's her ex because there were some relationship problems....

Do you think that if someone cheats once they will do it again? Please be honest no jokes.
If you're asking if the old "once a cheater, always a cheater" saying is true, no, not always, not even most of the time. Most of the time, over 70% of the time, the cheater will not cheat again if the relationship stays together. It's extremely important to delve into the "WHY" of the affair happening. The why will tell how likely they are to cheat again. If they...

I'm having an affair with a married man. He's almost 20 years older than me. He isn't happily married and hasn't had sex with his wife in 8 years. I probably should feel guilty about it but I don't. Is it wrong?
Do you understand what the chances are that he's telling you the truth? One in a million or so. Non-sexual marriages are certainly the exception. In marriages where there is no sex, the partner who is still able to and/or still wants to have sex has to have a darn good reason to stay. Almost always, those reasons are the same reasons that would preclude an affair.
Look at it this way....

Answer to:
Is cheating over the net with someone worse than cheating in person?
To me, it's the same. It really depends on the individual, as the answers so far show. Some consider any and everything online to be out of reality, fantasy, that doesn't affect them if their partner does it. I have seen this kind of fantasy reach out into reality too many times to agree with that take on it.

I had an affair with a friend 17 years ago when my wife and i were only married for 5 months. i broke it off after a short period of time and kept the secret for 5 years before she found out. She's yet to completely forgive me.
It's likely that she is not able to get to forgiveness because you are not sincere in your apology and asking for forgiveness, if you have at all. In addition, when she does forgive, it is NOT for you at all!! Forgiveness is something we do for ourselves, to be healthy and more forward. If you get something out of her forgiveness, that's sad. It depends on how old you are and what your plans for the future are. If you are close to 18 and going to graduate this year, you do have the option of taking ASVAB when the military comes around this year to see what jobs you would qualify for. If you don't qualify for something more than a grunt or cook, you are in sad shape and should not consider it. It isn't that the Army...

If you really clicked with someone, I mean seriously...and you knew you could spend some time with them (not sleep with them, but do stuff together), but THEY were married, would they be cheating?
It depends on the couple and the individuals within the couple. Each couple makes a choice, voiced or not, as to where those lines are drawn in their marriage. The problem often comes when those lines are voiced, but later they discover that they each have a different line. Those lines are personal boundaries. No one should dictate another persons boundaries. However, not voicing those...

Why do women indirectly try and "wear the pants" in the relationship?
I don't know too many women who are indirect about it. Also, most women I know do wear pants.
If you mean why do some women try to be in control of a relationship without being open about it, it's because they need a sense of control in their lives. They choose to have that by this means, usually because it's "normal" to them having seen it while they were growing up.

There has been a lot of discussion about what is immoral and what is not. I thought I would start a thread with a more general focus: How do we tell right and wrong? How is immoral and moral determined? Is moral and immoral the same as right and wrong?

How is immoral and moral determined? Society, religion, families, environment.
Is moral and immoral the same as right and wrong? That is 100% subjective, IMO.

How can a married man say he loves his wife, then say he has strong feelings for another woman. What is with him?
Unspoken relationship boundaries are in place in a marriage. Unless their is discussion about going outside of your partner, such as an open marriage, keeping those feelings within the relationship is an unspoken boundary. Anyone who does this is being disrespectful and a cake-eater. Having your cake and eating it too is simply not on in most relationships.

Flirting with a man or woman is cheating in our marriage if it goes beyond a certain point. Forgetting is not possible as we are human. We learn from history, our own and world history. If someone isn't learning from history, remembering serves no purpose. It's supposed to serve a purpose.
Forgiving is not for other people. It is for ourselves--- to move on and be healthy.
I can forgive. I can not forget.

Our wedding was around 100 guests. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Our vow renewal will have around the same number of guests. We're having more trouble getting it down to that many now, though.

Do you think the divorce rate would raise if divorces costed less and wasn't such a long process?
Interesting question. I was just reading a recent study on this. In the states where it's more difficult and takes longer to obtain a divorce, the rate of divorce was lower. I guess that pretty much shows what my instinct was on this issue.

How many married men out there are having an emotional affair with another woman..What is the attraction, and why are you doing it. Why risk your marriage for that. Give details..
There is no way of knowing the exact number as there is no firm definition of an emotional affair to go by at this time.
It's not necessarily about an attraction to the woman. It's usually, 80% of the time, because they are looking for something that is missing within themselves or within their marriage. Looking outside of themselves and/or their marriage is not going to fix it....

If a three people are in a relationship together and want to get married (all 3 of them) is that okay? its illegal, but why?
Legally, three people can't marry under the state. Marrying under your church MAY be a different story, but there aren't too many that fall under that category.
Is it okay? If all three parties are okay with it, it's okay for them. Does that mean it's okay for any children who are the result of those relationships? That's another story altogether. Not from anything...

Have you ever been the "third" woman in a romantic tangle? Do you feel guilty about it?
I have not. I hope that the women that were the third women aka mistress with my ex feel terribly guilty. However, he was doing this with women who were not exactly classy so I seriously doubt that any of them ever felt guilty. Perhaps, if they are the wife in this situation someday, they will feel that guilt at that time.

Under what circumstances would you marry someone who cheated on their spouse to be with you?
I'm not in a position to be looking to marry anyone since I'm already married. If I were in that situation, there would have to be several things occur. He would agree to have me talk to his ex if his ex was willing to talk to me in order to get both sides. Mine and my husband's offices are home offices. Lights are necessary for what we are doing. We turn off lights in rooms we aren't in. My office has more natural daylight than my husbands. She has some concern about why you would be unfaithful to her or she wouldn't have concerns about this. This is on you. Trying to lay it at her feet or saying it's not your problem is ridiculous. You did something that she was not comfortable with. I'm guessing that you probably knew at the time, had you stopped and thought about it, that she would not be comfortable with it....

If you had to create a new IQ test, one that is much more comprehensive than the ones currently being used, what would you test for?
There is nothing wrong with the current tests available with one exception. There is a time factor involved. For some specific disabilities, ie, Bipolar Disorder which often involves a cognitive dysfunction, being timed does not show the true ability of that person. I would try to find a way to either change that or to determine which disabilities should have longer or be untimed.

Better ask for punishment and not forgiveness?
Since forgiveness is something that the one who was wronged does for themselves to move forward, that is what should be asked for, for the sake of the one that you have already wronged. Asking for forgiveness for ones self when you are the wrong doer is simply selfish. Wrong doers want this thinking it will make them feel better. It won't. Neither will punishment. You will punish yourself...

It is common to go through periods of boredom in a marriage. If it last more than six months, you might be in trouble.

What is it you want to know? What is your question?
Answer to:
I have been married 15 years with a 10 year old and 8 year old. I have just learned my wife had a drunk fling with a girlfriend I did not like about 2 years ago. My wife has never had a bi affair and blames it on drinking. She did not stop the friendship
You don't say what it is that you want to have happen in your relationship from this point on. It sounds as though you have determined that she needs to end the friendship with this woman which is reasonable. There is no way to know that the sexual side of their relationship has ended without 100% no contact between the two of them. It's reasonable that you would ask for this as a...
Answer to:
Is there a process, or set of "stages" you go through when you've been cheated on and are attempting to repair your marriage?
You will go through all the stages of grief, as will your partner. You are grieving your perception of your marriage as it was. He (using that instead of she only for ease of use) is grieving losing his affair partner if he had an emotional tie to her.
These are the steps to rebuilding:
* End the affair. First, the affair must end. This includes any and all interaction and communication...
Answer to:
At what age is a child allowed to choose which parent to live with
There is no assigned age by Oregon state statute. It depends on the judge, the municipality, and how custody was initially decided. In my case, my youngest child was 9 years old at the time of my divorce. Since the judge decided custody based SOLELY on what each child's wishes were (VERY STUPID! and unfair to them!), they were basically able to move back and forth willy-nilly as often as...

Answer to:
My boyfriend of two years informed me that he got his ex girlfriend pregnant. He said it was a one night stand and it never happened again. We just started a family of our own with our first child. Should I work it out?
It's not up to YOU to work it out. You will have to participate, but he has to do his share, as well. Are you prepared to deal with having the other child in your life? If not 100%, you should not even go there. The child did nothing. The child deserves to be in the father's life. Therefore, you would have to be willing to welcome to the child.
I only know of one situation where...

My husband is a cheater online...found out hed put profiles on hundreds of dating sites, also porn sites. also 3 mnths befre we married, he was lusting after a 17yr old girl..hes 42. were married for 3 years now. dont/cant trust him and hes angry bout me
This goes beyond your not trusting him. If you don't report him for his activity with a minor, you are aiding and abetting him in this illegal act. It's extremely important that you report him to the police. Chances are good that you will need to turn your hard drive over to them, as well, until a trial, if one is necessary, is over. If you have children, this is a HUGE problem! For...

Answer to:
Do you agree with Sarah Palin that a rape victim should have the rapist's baby?
Having been a 13 year old who became pregnant through incest in the 70s and not having been given a choice, I will say, hands down, it should be the woman's choice. She is the one who must live with the consequences either way. She should have access to UNBIASED information and support on the issue. Therefore, being forced to make a decision to not have an abortion is unreasonable in the...

If you live in a state that always votes very republican, or very democrat, is there even a point in voting?
Polls and history are only part of what determines what your state will do. If enough people who believe differently vote, it changes things!! It's those who sit on the side line and don't vote that will never bring about the changes that they want. In addition, there are state and municipal votes that your vote will have a huge impact on.
I'm a firm believer that those who...

My mom gave me til tonight to have my room cleaned in order to have a friend over tomorrow night. I'm cleaning now and she comes in saying that it isn't done and to call off the plans. How/CAN I convince her that her change in 'deadline' is unreasonable?
By continuing the clean. Tell your friend what's up when you call to follow through with your mom's request that you do so. Tell her that you'll continue to clean to see if your mom changes her mind when you're done.
If you think her deadline is unreasonable, I would have to say that your room was unreasonable unclean. Don't let it get to that point again. Pick up...

Yes, I have. I hoped that I would go to college right out of high school. I hoped that I would be married only once and never divorced. I didn't go to college until I left the ^&%&#^%$& who abused me in my first marriage of 20 years. That pretty much says it all.

You can always request a csection. It's up to the doctor and the individual situation whether that request is granted. There are fewer risks associate with a vaginal birth which is why it is preferred by most docs.

If you had to cut costs for a wedding, what would be the first thing you would get rid of?
1. Limit the alcohol to one bottle of white and one bottle of red wine to each six-eight people. Having a limited number of drinks or having guests buy their own drinks are huge no-no's according the the wedding etiquette expert I work with.
