Would my copay just be a waste of money? Unless you are seriously ill or are a high risk group (asthma, compromised immune system, etc) I say wait it out. If you go to the doc and they determine it is the flu, they may be able to prescribe an antiviral like Tamiflu but it doesn't do that much. It has to be taken within 2 days of being sick and it only reduces the time you are sick by 1-2 days.

When I had a urinary tract infection, my vomit became extremely bitter, burned my throat and was very painful to throw up. It also seemed to inhibit my breathing (gross I know). How and why does a UTI cause vomit to change, is it just a change in pH? I honestly do not see how UTI could affect your vomit. I am a little PO'd. I am always early picking my kids up from pre-school. Today I was 10 minutes late. I am being charge $10/minute per child (1st 5 min is free). So, $100 total. Does that seem steep for a 1st offense? Wow, that is really steep! But at the same time, if the pre-school did not have a policy like this, parents would pick up their kids late more frequently.
