Who do you think fares better overall in divorce, men or women?
I think a good indicator of how men v women would fare in court is evidenced by the Winkler murder case in TN. A woman shot her sleeping husband in the back with a shotgun and served virtually no jail time. She claimed abuse that was never corroborated by anyone. After serving a minimal prison term, her community bought her a car. It's really hard to believe.

If you were standing on the ground and watched two people at opposite ends of a moving train start stop watches when a light in the middle of the train came on, would the time on the stopwatches agree?
The answer is no. The person at the front of the moving train would have to wait longer for the light from the middle of the train to get to him. The guy at the back would see the light first because he's moving in the direction of the light source.

I'm sorry, but it just doesn't make any sense for a guy to get into a relationship these days.
If you were to move in with him, it's possible for you to get a restraining order and kick him out of his own house.
If you already have a kid, and you co-habitate for a while, some state laws would declare you wedded by common law. He'd then be liable for child support...

Today, Michelle Obama said she is proud of her country for the first time. What does that mean? Is it a big deal or not, considering she might be the next First Lady?! (I'm answering this one, btw. Probably a COUPLE times!!)
This will come back to haunt her and Obama. Most Americans I know have always been proud of their country. Even when we screw up, we always fix it, get back on our feet, and keep going. I dare her to say that crap to a Gold Star mom.
It's strangely reminiscent of the Jim and Tammy Faye Baker show.

I don't think I ever will. For an American male, it's just not a rational decision to get married these days. If I had known what the legal climate was going to be, I'd never gotten married 20 years ago. A young man standing at the altar simply doesn't understand all the future legal responsibilities he's obliging himself to take.

If you let the people that pay taxes choose where they wanted their tax dollars to go, OIF would be overfunded, and many social programs would be broke.

Draconian law that limits the number of times a person can vote in a single election is being argued in the Supreme Court. http://www.kpcnews.com/articles/2008/01/09/news/today/evening_star/doc478441f2313a5420740819.txt Only one vote? Crazy.
Why the Republicans want to limit people to one vote is beyond me... Maybe it's because John Ashcroft lost the Senate race back in 2000 by 5k votes, but didn't contest it.

President Bush and General Petraeus? Not so much. It's part of their territory that they have to deal with opposition backbiting.
If that bunch did apologize, would that mean our troops have to start giving a sh!t about what they say?

Loud enough to be audible throughout your whole house, and scary enough to turn around anyone in your house that shouldn't be there. Nobody wants to mess with a shotgun.
