Unfortunately I know many young ones of that age range that have very often been exposed to cannabis smoke. Honestly, I'm sure they are fine, but to be 100% safe it'd be smart to take them to the doctor, and, of course, don't allow them to be exposed to it anymore.

With only 1 plant you're not going to need to worry about odor too much. That should do perfectly fine, but if you ever move bigger look into charcoal filters :)
