How long does it take for your taste buds to get back to normal after surgery?
This is a difficult question since the type of surgery will depend on this answer.
Normally I can understand that your taste buds will be affected by the type of medication you take for instance, taking a certain type of pain killer to numb the pain of the surgery.
So it stands to reason that when you cease your medication your taste buds will return.
But then again if you had surgery...

Is it contradictory for an Atheist to quote Bible verses to a Christian?
If the Atheist wants to prove a point I guess it is a good way to prove a point if you make use of the Bible. I mean quoting from the Bible does not necessarily make you a believer.
There are a lot of wannabe Christians that quote from the Bible. Just like quoting from a book does not make you an expert on the subject, so does quoting from the Bible does not make you an Christian. Not even a...

I have this clear sticky fluid with white chunks(sticky at first then hard) coming out of my vagina, how can i stop this? i'm going to become sexaully active soon,(still a virgin) i dont want him to see it. How can i stop it or prevent it?
I am not sure what this "sticky" fluid could be, but my educated guess is a Candidiasis (Yeast Infection).
In women, signs and symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection are a white cheesy discharge that typically itches and irritates the vagina and surrounding outer tissues. On occasion there may be pain with sexual intercourse or burning with urination.
However whether you are a...

I assume you are of the opinion that guys should make the first move in this regard. Let me first start by saying there is nothing wrong with women taking action and saying how they feel. It is just a new experience and now you get a taste of how nervous the average male feels when he needs to take charge of the situation.
With all that said you have no need for embarrassment at all! But I...

A girl knocked on my door last night selling clear. I got her email address and phone number for business. She is very nice and pretty. Should I email her and try to get to know her for awhile before asking her out or just ask her out?
I'd say get to know her first. You do not want to come over as desperate or clingy. Your approach should be very subtle instead of strong and in your face, since this can scare her off. Take things slow and give her a chance to warm up to you and entertain ideas of going out with you on her own.
Good Luck!

I just got dumped-and i am not a kid-and it still hurts alot. its been so long since i have felt this bad-what do you do?
Love may scar ones heart, but take comfort in knowing this:
If a flame of love dies between two people it was not meant to be. Somewhere out there someone extra special is waiting to love and appreciate you. By losing this lover you have actually given your heart a chance to love another and an opportunity is presented to maybe discover the one that is meant for you!
This too shall pass...

Absolute brilliance! With Johnny Depp's history I think this role was "made" for him! The same goes for Alan Rickman. He fits this twisted obsession role pretty well. I sang the song "Green Finch and Linnet Bird" and I think it is fascinating! The music is excellent everything about it is sheer modern genius!

Why do parents treat their teenage daughters more strictly than their sons?
I once heard a psychologist explain it this way:
Girls can fall pregnant and can become vulnerable easily and usually the parents have to sit with the baby. Knowing that boys will be boys, the parents know that the son will naturally express sexual urges. But if he does he won't sit with a baby to nurse and raise.
I think it is dangerous to think this way. The same rules must apply to...

I do not know which country you are from or how your legal system works, but chances are that this case can be investigated locally and do not necessary have to go to court. It depends on the nature of the sexual activity. If bestiality is one of those (you can argue the animal wants it and thus does not get hurt)then I would say no!
There are also a lot of perverse and heinous things out there concerning sex (where no one gets hurt) that is too horrendous for me to speak about.

I have a collection of old (and a few new) sheet music. I've noticed that about 30% of the music was written in the key of E flat (3 flats). Why is that?
Are all the pieces that you are describing from the same music period? Do the composers have something in common perhaps like where they get their inspiration from?
Maybe they just like the key of E-flat. Maybe its the genre of music....
There are a lot of factors that comes into play here.
Think of those few questions and maybe you will find the answer. Please let me know if it helped. :-)

Who was that sexy man today on the road?
Definitely not me. I might be sexy but its minus the man. Although I am more "man" then some men out there. lol
Answer to:
What is an effective way to prevent my bf from sleeping with other women?
Your trust is broken. Since a relationship is build on trust this is very damaging if not dangerous to your relationship. I suggest you guys have a serious talk. Tell him about your fears and that if he loves you, you will be the only woman for him. If not, he is not the one for you and you should move on to someone more deserving of your time, effort and love.
Answer to:
Should some things be left unsaid?
Yes. If you want to spare someone the truth to avoid hurting their feelings. But then again I am the most straight-to-the-point person you'll ever know so I'd probably tell them the truth. Since although it can hurt the truth can set you free.

Off course they are not! The truly competent people lose their jobs if they speak out or try to expose the truth. I will definitely not vote for them in the upcoming election. I am proud to be South African for the wonderful people I have met here and interact with. I am not proud however to be associated with such a corrupt government.

Can animals sin? If not why did God kill them all according to Noah's story, he wasn't capable of just murdering the bad people, he had to kill all the people and all the animals? (except for a couple of them)
Animals cannot sin since they don't know what they are doing. Animals don't have a conscience like humans do. They just have instinct. Sin is an offence done deliberately with the notion that it is wrong.

What I usually do in situations like this is something I refer to as "self-investigation". For instance if this relationship makes you feel worthless look at yourself and ask "Am I...

I'd say no. If you see one concert usually only one genre is being portrayed and you have to look at the bigger picture. I would never put a child in a beauty pageant. I think if you put children between the age of 5-13 in beauty pageants it opens up a window for pedophiles to look through. Since those children are made up to look like adults and not like children. I would never want anyone to look at my child with eyes of lust.

On average what age do girls get there first boyfriend
That is a difficult question to answer. Since the emotional independence and maturity of all girls vary from one another. You should look at the girl in question and then determine this. Girls will usually get boyfriends when they are ready. On average I'd say they are ready when they are 13 or 14 years of age. However! This is not written in stone. The age varies from person to person.

That is a very good question! I'd say they only quote the Bible because that is all they know. Your average Christian does not rely on any outside source to back their belief. That is because their religion is based on faith not fact. And the Bible is the only "fact" they need to rely on.

Agreeing to that would entail that I agree that all humans are animals. I do not believe in Evolution so I think humans are above animals. Animals should be treated with respect and should be taken care of by humans. By stating that I do not believe animals and humans are equal I do not condone animal cruelty. They have a right to live and they do experience pain.

Why do people stay in bad relationships?
Mostly because love is blind and that the one party is dependand on the other one. Like a man who abuses his wife, the wife doesnt have a job and needs his help for financial support. Also the person holds on to the known and can't break that unhealthy cycle into the unknown. To them the unknown is worse that the known.

Well all I can say is that I have had all my vaccinations as a baby and I never contracted any children diseases like measles or chicken pocks so I say there is nothing wrong with it and that all children should be protected against disease. But that for peace of mind look up the vaccination and let your local general practitioner keep you up to speed and informed.

Do u think that husband is more superior than wife
Both men and woman play an equally important role in marriage. How can you say raising children is better than putting food on the table or protecting the home is better than soothing the fights and misunderstandings. Both men and women are equally superior in life. They are after all both humans and in marriage they make a great team!

When you break up after a long relationshop does your heart feel like its getting stabbed, or some other feeling?
Yes I had that. In the old days women fainted because they may not express their feelings towards others. So I have a theory about that. My boyfriend at the time dumped me for one of my best friends after he talked about marriage.
My parents forced me to attend a certain church and be part of a religion I did'nt feel apart of.
That also made me physically sick.
Old memories of sexual abuse and physical...

Answer to:
What are some good coping mechanisms you know instead of cutting?
I turn to music. The listening or playing of a musical instrument. Singing also helps. The physical touch of a musical instrument I find has a calming effect on the mind. I also write poetry and get my feelings out on paper.

Abers who are cutters or have been... are you proud or embarassed of your scars? Why?
I have been a cutter for about a year. I went through hell and back, but I am not doing it anymore. I made a promise to my boyfriend never to do it again and I haven't since. I am proud of my scars I view them as battle scars and that I got through it. It reminds me how strong I am and what can be over come. I still get that numb feeling that I usually get when I want to cut sometimes, but...

Do Jews believe, or have Jews ever believed, the Messiah will/would be born to a virgin?
No. Infact they believe that the Messiah will be like Moses and Moses was not born from a virgin. As for Isaiah 7:14. When read in context and out of the best translated bible namely the King James. It means that the Messiah will be brought forth out of a virgin generation( a generation that has not yet witnessed God's wonders).

Why do some jews hate/dis-like themselves?
I never heard of a jew that hates him/herself. They are generally very nice and friendly people. They are also very proud of their herritage and who they are. It's the people who do not understand them that hate and dislike them. It's been an ongoing struggle for jews throughout the ages in their faith, but it makes them stronger and better people in the end. Jews are people to really...

Do you believe that the practice of Catholicism is a form of ritualistic cannabalism? They 'eat' and 'drink' of Christ's body and blood ...
I think it falls under the catagory of ritualistic cannabalism because Jesus said in Bible: Here is my body eat it, here is my blood drink it...Christ never said drink and eat this wine and bread and he never said that the wine and bread is symbolic in meaning. There is actually a website on the internet with pictures where people practice holy communion and the wine turns into blood and the...

Answer to:
Do you think it is immoral to have intrest in your cousin by marriage?
The whole thought of cousin marriages being immoral is a result to preconceived ideas. In the Bible (if this is aplicable to you) in Leviticus where all the laws of marriages are listed there are no scriptiual evidence that cousin marriages are wrong. South Africa's law states that it is perfectly legal to marry your cousin. The scientific implications of such an action is only severe when...

What do you think of cousin marriages?
I am engaged to my cousin. Before the relationship progressed into something serious we looked up the legal and scientific implications and we discovered that there isn't any serious implications. Scientifically the only severe effect will occur when people marry their cousins in several generations. Then only will DNA get messed up. We are the only cousin couple in our families generation...

Do animals commit suicide?
I've heard of one animal that commit suicide and that is the scorpion. My father told me that when he was in the army they use to heat a pan and throw the scorpion onto the pan, and the scorpion would litterly "dance himself to death". He would sting himself with his stinger and die. But that joins up with Purplerain's answer to your question:"Sick or injured animals of...

Do you find opera singers boring?
Um, no. I find opera singers intriquing. They are probibly the singers that last the longest considering that they use classical tecniques that preserve their voices rather than ruin it like most pop singers do (that's why pop singers don't last very long).
Ps: I sing opera myself.
Answer to:
Does anyone listen to opera anymore?
I do and I sing it too. Nice comtemporary and metal music with western music and voice influence are Nightwish and Lacrimosa.
Answer to:
How would you describe the main character of music of Mozart?
Very aristocratic and magestic, sometimes light and breezy. Depending on the song. He can take the simpelist melody and turn it into a huge master piece. It is said that as he was laying on his bed notes decended from heaven and he just notated them and played them. He was a genius. In my opinion the greatest composer there was.

Answer to:
When was the first song ever sung? Who sang it? What geographical region were they in?
Music probably began when the first humans where created. Music accomodated man since the beginning of time, it just since 2000 B.C.that people have been notating music. So there is no way to determine that question. Music came in uncompleted and diffrent forms all primitive and simple (like most things a thousands of years ago).
