Do you have a sense of Rhythm? I think all people have a sense of rhythm. Some more than others obviously, but its something to work on if you lack it. I am a musician so I do have a sense of rhythm.

I have a collection of old (and a few new) sheet music. I've noticed that about 30% of the music was written in the key of E flat (3 flats). Why is that? Are all the pieces that you are describing from the same music period? Do the composers have something in common perhaps like where they get their inspiration from? Maybe they just like the key of E-flat. Maybe its the genre of music.... There are a lot of factors that comes into play here. Think of those few questions and maybe you will find the answer. If you had a friend that was "cutting" what would you do to help them? I would just be there for them. And only help them when they want to be helped. Quitting is a personal desicion and nothing anyone else can do can make them stop. That is why a good friend will be there for support and advice (only when asked). Cutters are people who need loads of emotional support.
